Pride and Passion is a brazilian soap opera that retells the literary universe of Jane Austen, set in 1910. There's the gay couple called "Lutávio" (Luccino + Otávio).    |

Wow....this storyline looks pretty good, i love storylines set in old time but sad thing is those storylines mostly dont end well. =( Anyone knows how this storyline going so far?

It's a 6 PM telenovela and their scenes are very sweet and romantic, so I think it's very far assumption they (as the other couples in the televenovela) will get a happy ending. Or at least, what you could call a happy ending for a gay couple in the early XX century. It has also a big fandom and one of the actors is probally the biggest shipper of them all. Their storyline started very late in the novela (they only started to interact last month) and the telenovela only has one more month to go. |

I’ve been watching their scenes on GloboPlay and they are so cute together. I love that they deal with being gay in a very sweet (and even utopic) way on this show - especially considering the time period in which the story is set. The scene where Luccino tells his brother about liking a guy was gorgeous. I also get a feeling they'll get a “happy” ending (whatever that means lol)

There's a thread on Twitter that has been updating with all their scenes... the bad news is that they are only in Portuguese.
They all have tittles though, so you can translate that to get a general sense of what's happening...

Luccino and Otávio shared their first kiss today! It was SO CUTE (like the whole storyline)  Not only that, this was also the VERY FIRST GAY KISS on a Globo telenovela at the traditional 6 o'clock time slot (usually know for being more conservative and "family"-driven)

That first video was really well made! It's a shame it condensed so much of the beginning of storyline... It should've been longer and covered more scenes  Glad that the new videos seem to cover the storyline with more depth than just small snippets edited together. |
