Thomas is the guy with the facial hair. He's still getting over the murder a year ago, of his lover Nicolas. Florian is a recently out gay man who was married and has a 12 year old daughter.
Florian falls in love with Thomas and comes out. They are currently a couple on the show and their story is still ongoing.

I don’t know if anybody will be interested in this long post, but I have a little time to kill, and kind of caught up to this show. When I first had a glimpse a few years ago, the terrible acting burnt my eyes, and I never got further than a few seconds. But they’ve gotten better, just like their ratings. Still far from being the best, especially as to certain actors, but I’ve seen worst soaps. I’ll put a few videos, but have no embedding skills, sorry. I just hope the links work.

First, the guys. Little warning for the superficial: these are not the most beefy guys, but hey, there's some emotion. Oddly and unusually enough, I’m more about the women this time. Anyway, for the guys, as the title of the thread indicates, we have Thomas and Florian. But we need a little back story that’s become particularly relevant due to recent events. About 2 years ago, Thomas’s boyfriend, Nicolas, was killed by his father. Thomas, who’s pretty much adored by all in town, was devastated. Nicolas was a well-liked and efficient cop in the city.

Thomas took forever – if at all – to get over his lover’s death. A little over a year ago, enters Florian, a judge – seriously, Thomas has no real reason to complain about his lovers’ status. Anyway, Florian was married and has a teenage daughter. His attraction to Thomas deeply confused him and led to a nasty separation with his wife (high school sweetheart), at least at first, and heartache with his daughter, especially since Thomas had sort of become the wife’s unwilling confidant before she found out about “The Gay”. In the end, the parents made peace, agreed to make it amiable and the daughter was fine.

Fast-forward to this week, where dun dun dun dun…. it’s revealed in a special prime time episode that Nicolas is actually not dead! How … soapy! He faked his death apparently in order to infiltrate the mob and take on a very powerful leader – hence the length of time it took to bring him down. Thomas, Nicolas’s mother and others of course express outrage mixed with happiness over Nicolas’s lies and readiness to let them suffer. Nicolas is apologetic, even though apparently he was also working on it in order to save Thomas’s life. It’s obvious that Nicolas is also still in love with Thomas, and envious of his relationship with Florian. What about Florian? Well, the poor guy is terrified and nervous. He’s scared that Thomas will slip away from him, and with reason. I really feel for Florian because he went through a lot with coming out, his family breaking apart, patiently accepting and dealing with Nicolas’s ghost (even on the wall of their apartment where Nicolas’s pics of happy days with Thomas continue to shine in all their glory), and now having his daughter feel completely comfortable with Thomas pretty much as family. Thomas seems completely lost, even though he assures Florian that he loves him and only him. Another thing going against Florian: Nicolas seems to be a heavy fan favorite.

- Thomas got kidnapped by Toreille's goons. Everybody's worried (including Thomas's dad, with whom he runs the show's little cafe). Nico's mad. Apparently, the people who got him into the mob deal had lied to him about some stuff, including about Thomas being under watch for protection (I'm not really sure):

She’s happy-furious from what is said – I feel like I have to tell the non-French speaking people this because she’s such a terrible actress, it’d be hard to read her “emotions”. It's kind of laughable in the midst of such drama, really. Anyway, Nicolas sees Thomas again, who is on edge and tells him he’s very happy with Florian and is not sure he’ll ever be able to forgive Nicolas. I think he’s pretty much mostly trying to convince himself. Nicolas says he’s not sure he’ll stay:

- Some girl who was involved in the mob thing is there, fighting with Nicolas then hanging onto him and telling him she needs him. She’s the daughter of the leader I think and I guess she’s also the one who killed him, saving Nicolas or something, not knowing then that he was an undercover cop. Sorry, I didn’t really dig deep on this whole thing. In this epi, she then goes to see Thomas; he knows who she is and wishes her to be happy with Nicolas, but she tells him that she can’t expect anything because Nicolas is still in love with him (Thomas, that is). Thomas pretends he doesn’t care, but judging his reaction when she leaves, he obviously does, like a lot:

- Thomas decides to take some time alone to deal, especially since that’s all everyone is yapping about: “What’s Thomas gonna do?!?”. Florian is being understanding; he can’t leave work, but will join Thomas for the week-end. [Apparently the actor playing Thomas has decided to take a few months off to work on another project.]:

Now, on to the girls whom I’ve just discovered. I really have a soft spot for them. The blonde, Celine Fremont, is from a wealthy family, formerly straight (and divorced?). Until she meets Virginie, brunette, kind of a tomboy who works at a construction site owned by Celine's family (I think) and has a bike and everything. Celine falls in love when they share her apartment (at first platonically); Virginie tries at first to be cautious, but she’s also clearly attracted. They finally get together, to the dismay of Celine’s father, the very bourgeois Mr. Fremont.

well it seems that they are together again (they broke up this summer, because Florian lied to Thomas about Bruno and and other things with Nicolas). I think I missed some episodes but they're back together.

Florian's daughter is back and in love with a teenager, but she is to young so the guy rejected her.

Yesterday I almost had a heart attack : in order to change Elodie's mind Thomas wanted to go alone in Ibiza (of course Florian is currently to busy and cannot join them), it's crazy but it reminds me of somebody else. But finally they decided to go to Paris.

It was close.

Well I was looking for sub titled videos, but I didn't find them. I'm not even sure they exist and then you don't have currently so many stories with Thomas and Florian.

You need to find some people who speak French and English (a couple people probably) and also find someone who has all the old clips.

I know someone started it before but there was never any order to the videos or organization.

Unless you can find the people with the clips and folks willing to transcribe it's a lost cause.

If there are no subded version it's because there nothing to translate : Thomas left for months on vacations (so I was wrong he left alone = Olli to Ibiza).

You have maybe 2 or 3 moments where we see them together. It's not even worth to make a video. Moreover I don't watch it everyday and I am bad with computer I won't be able to do a video. I can do recap at least.

Florian is currently in a huge storyline : his sister came back and killed someone who attacked her (selfdefense) this guy she killed is linked to kidnappind children from eastern Europe. The children are then sold in France.

So Florian is currently in an emotional turmoil (one again) : should he arrest his own sister or not. That it for the moment.

To comment on this show was the major reason I registered.

From what I gathered from Internet, this is a great show and very popular in Francophone areas. What a shame that nobody subbed and uploaded the storylines of Nico & Thomas and Florian & Thomas. From what I've seen in bits of video, the actors were so handsome, attractive and adorable, and the plots also looked very intriguing. Just so sad to miss such a great show.

Hello just try to summarize what happened recently.

Florian is working on a very hard case involving a racist society. His plan is to make a cop infiltrate this community, because they might be preparing a bomb attack somewhere in Marseilles. But Thomas and Florian received a anonymous letter threatening them. So Florian decided to send Thomas away till the end of the investigation, of course His daughter is currently back and a bodyguard is here to keep he safe.
I'm wondering if actually Florian did send Thomas away, because he didn't want him to fall in love with the bodyguard, right Whitney ? ;D

There are video clips of Florian and Thomas on DailyMotion. But I could hardly find anywhere any videos of Thomas and Nicolas. I so wanted to watch their story.

Actually some ppl are uploading clips from earlier years on Youtube but I can only get 1 or 2 minutes of Nico and Thomas here and there and I do not understand a word they say. I want to see how they met and fell in love ;D but could not find anything about it

Hello, I am kisara, I am French and especially big one fan of the French soap opera " Plus belle la vie ". Indeed, there are no videos on the couple Thomas / Nicolas. Why? I do not know, doubtless that in this period (2005) the fans did not have to what to make it more, either that it did not occur to them.The videos that we find in particular on dailymotion, are mainly centred on the couple Florian / Thomas who formed as the PBLV showed scores of audiences the highest. But also because he marked more the fans of the series than the couple thomas / nicolas.
It seems to me to have read in one of the messages precedent of HQ75, that Florian / Thomas's videos were in the disorder. I shall answer that it depends on the playlist. On the other hand, it is not thus subtitled a minimum of knowledge in French is desirable except when the VO(ORIGINAL VERSION) does not disturb you.
Thomas appears only from March 1st, 2005 (episode n°132) and Nicolas appears on March 17th, 2005 (episode n°144).
I hope to have allowed you to see a little more clear for videos there.
If you want, the next time I you will say about what speaks the video that in put rtgtx and you will explain a little more on the couples thomas / nicolas and thomas / florian for lack of putting subtitles in videos (sorry, IMy english is very bad! I am obliged to pass by a translation software!).
