Edo90 is uploading the storyline of Sandro and Claudio from Un posto al sole, which appears to be a long-running Italian soap set in Naples. Edo90's notes in the clips suggest a similar wait for Sandro and Claudio to get together like what we have been seeing with David and Xavier over in the Os Nossos Dias thread. Here are the first three clips with English subtitles: And some pictures of the guys:

Yay!! I am Italian and I'm following this storyline on tv. UPAS is my soap, the one I have been watching for most of my life, and I'm very happy that we finally are having a gay storyline. I was hoping someone was going to upload it with English subtitles... I would have done it myself if I had hadthe technical know-how.
Anyway, yes, Un Posto Al Sole is a soap that has been airing for 19 years. This is the first noteworthy m/m gay storyline (after a few short-lived lesbian storylines in the past) in the history of the show, which is a big step considering how homophobic and backwards Italy is.
So don't expect lots of kisses and physical stuff, at least for now. However, I really love the show and I feel it's a storyline worth seeing.

Extra clip that introduces Sandro's stepbrothers Tommaso and Filippo:
Some background information from Edo90:
The show did a pretty good job of casting -- they all look like they could actually be brothers.

Edo also mentioned in the notes for the clip that there are about 3-4 clips between today's and the first time that Sandro and Claudio meet.

Gay in the closet = violence. So stereotypical...
PS. Dailymotion videos are not showing (at least not for me).

Edo90 has been posting them at both channels -- so try at Vimeo (though Edo tends to post them first to dailymotion: vimeo.com/user38657871) -- Another thing you could try is to watch them through dailymotion and not as the embedded clip. Here is the next part:

Not necessarily the violence, just generally speaking. Also, keep in mind that there haven't been many of these stories on Italian tv (or any at all), so what is stereotypical for us isn't for the kind of public they are trying to reach, who are not used to the topic. All in all, I'm very happy with the storyline so far (speaking about the parts that haven't been posted here yet). It's getting better and better, and it's moving quite fast. I'm just glad our tv is finally catching up with the rest of the world! LOL

And i am also enjoying this storyline. and i'm happy they did this with Sandro and that a (asshole) man like Roberto Ferri is involved in this storyline. In my house also my parents are enjoying this storyline and i think the audience, too considering that the ratings continue to be regular for Un Posto Al Sole. So apparently there are not people who are screaming "oh let's escape from the gays". This week the storyline was covered in every episode if i'm not wrong. Hope it will last. This is the only worry i have,so fingers crossed. Sent from my YOGA Tablet 2-1050L using proboards

On the show's official Facebook page there are plenty of homophobes complaining about the storyline, but the people in favour of it clearly outnumber them by far. And the show won't pander to the haters, that's for sure! I'm glad they chose Sandro as well, it's perfect. I remember thinking that Sandro should be gay when he was still a child, and I'm glad the writers had the same idea!! Crossing fingers it lasts too. I hope it's not a short-term story, and that Sandro remains on the show as a main character for the foreseeable future. He is a legacy character, afterall.

Obviosuly homophobes are everywhere. Also in the most "modern" countries this happen. What i was telling it was that the ratings are regulars for the soap so till now the majority is still keeping watching. Then honselty i'm not surprised of homophobes, especially on social network (and infact i avoid those places). And sometimes i doubt that all of those people watch at all the show cause sometimes it looks like there are some assholes that just need to vent their intollerance and take every opportunity to do it. But tbh i'm not surprised there are also in the audience of the show. But i really think the majority is not like that,as the majority of italians people. I have faith in my country Btw i also wanted Sandro being gay in the past. Or him or making Nico bisexual let's keep fingers crossed cause i really wish to not be disappointed by this show. Luckily after Chrolli,Dero and Fervid i stopped to get too much attached to romantic pairs so it would be easier to let it go in case they will fuck things up. But despite that i hope they will go on with this road Sent from my YOGA Tablet 2-1050L using proboards

I don't avoid social media because I want to support the storyline and the show, and let my voice be heard against all the haters and bigots. Otherwise their opinion would be the only one the writers hear!! But it's so stressful, those people drive me crazy.
