Glad to see Ryan back to acting, because I always felt he was talented. But I somehow doubt he would want to return to ED. Wasn't part of the reason he left because of the constant churn of filming a daily soap, which really hit him as he was about to start a family? I can't imagine that situation has changed now that he is a father. It's a shame because I thought he was a great recast and was the only one of Aaron's love interests to really bring chemistry with Danny Miler. Plus, we could always do with more of ED's first family, the Sugdens. IMO, one way they could keep the Sugden legacy alive - assuming they don't just recast Robert - would be to have a teen rock up to the village, claiming to be Robert's long-lost child. Certainly not implausible since we know Robert was popular with both sexes and he did get Rebecca pregnant once before - maybe this could've been a pregnancy he never knew about and couldn't convince the mother to abort. Perhaps the boy is now dealing with his sexuality and his mother sees too much of Robert in him, prompting him to seek out his paternal family. Even without Robert physically present, it would give stepfather Aaron and aunt Victoria something to do, while adding to the teen group - maybe even a love interest for Arthur.
