Chrollianne is uploading a new storyline at her channel: www.youtube.com/user/Chrollianne01?feature=g-all-uShe is still working on the English subtitles, but they should be available soon. Her description from the first clip: Paris, nowadays, five young men, with different personal stories enter the Capucins Seminary : Guillaume, Yann, José, Raphaël and Emmanuel. Emmanuel heard God/Jesus's call before entering the hospital for a serious nervous breakdown. He wanted to be an archeologist and went to Carthage for his studies. But one night, he goes into a house and fucks a young man. He feels guilty and wrong about himself because he doesn't even remember his face or his name or if he just looked nice. (that's what he says in a confession in an earlier episode, just ask if you'd like to see the video) Guillaume, on the other hand, comes from a family that doesn't seem to care about him. His mother is acting like a child and his 16YO sister takes care of herself on her own. He loves his family but accepts God's call and enters the Capucins Seminary. (He has a hard time letting go of his mother, afraid she'll do something stupid, again, if you'd like to see this too, just ask!) That's their story.

I've just added the English Subtitles (on the same videos) click on the CC below the videos ! I'll add part 3 and part 4 (the last one) this week. The show only has 8 episode, part 1 is from E05, part 2 -> E06, part 3 -> E07 and part 4 from E08. It's the first season but we don't know yet if a second one will be done.

I've started subtitling and uploading the storyline again. Here are the first three parts (changed the way I do it, so there will be 8 parts).

Password is : ASI
Part 1 : it's from episode 1, it's how the characters are arriving to the seminary
Part 2 : from episode 2, Guillaume centered
Part 3 : Emmanuel centered, confession time before they really enter the seminary. I didn't add some parts with his family. Basically, he hasn't been giving any news to them, his father's in Paris for his job and the whole family decided to visit. He doesn't want to see and doesn't enjoy the time they spend with him. From episode 3.
After these 3 parts, there are 5 left that I haven't subtitled yet.
I'm all alone to do these subtitles, I'm no professional and I know close to nothing about the catholic religion in English (the words might not be the right ones to use during a confession), for that I apologize.

Don't get your hopes up though. Sadly, it's just a part of S1 and David Baiot, who plays Emmanuel, doesn't come back in S2 (which has yet to be aired). S1 aired in the fall of 2012. S2 will air in the fall of 2014, a S3 is already being written. I'd appreciate help with the translating, but I don't really know how we could do it... I mean, have you already translated and used this kind of software? I kind of 'do it all' at once. I translate and sync the subs at the same time. It's much faster than making the transcription, then translating it and finally syncing the subtitles. I would love help because the parts of the last 3 episodes are longer than the ones I've posted. (around 9, 10 minutes long) If you feel up to it, I can figure out a way to send you the episodes. Btw, if you've noticed anything wrong in the translation of these three parts, do feel free to tell me

Last part of their storyline : part 8, from episode 8 (there were only 8 episode in season 1, season 2 is in the works)
(i apologize if the subtitles aren't that good, but i'm dead tired from travelling halfway through France to go to a Christening in less than 40 hours and having to finish my bags for a two months long internship away from home and internet)

Since the series was a hit in France (and a bit in Germany, as it is aired by the channel Arte which is aired in both Germany and France, with German subtitles), it had been picked up for a second season back when it aired in 2012. But it took them time to write the episodes and shoot them so there was a hiatus of two years. And that hiatus is coming to an end!! The season 2 will start airing on October 2nd, two episodes a week. It's already been picked up for a third season, the episodes are already written and are being shot. The 3rd season will air at the start of 2015, so the hiatus will be much shorter. From the teaser I saw in the cinema today, both Emmanuel and Guillaume come back but I think only Guillaume will be a main character this time around. But Emmanuel makes a come back, I don't know how or when or why and I haven't been able to find spoilers yet. Keep in mind that their relationship really started at the 4th or 5th episode of the first season so if anything happens for them, I suppose it might be not be at the beginning of the season. Just giving a warning so you don't get your hopes up for Oct. 2nd. I can't promise I'll subtitle it, but I might be able to get the German subtitles so that would speed up the whole process for me. I'm doing a work/study program so it's quite intense, I might not have the time but I'll try my best

Spoilers for episode 1 :
Following a heavy chimiotherapy, Father Bosca fails to impose his methods of training to the Capucins seminarians, which advocated by the Vatican, are debated within the Church. Guillaume especially, has a hard time living the inquisitor tone that his "psycho-emotional judgments/meetings" have. The idealist Yann tries to convince Father Bosco to reintegrate José, who is now in a wheelchair. Bishop Poileux, not confident, tries to make his first steps as the head of the Episcopal Conference of France.
Episode 2 :
On the occasion of the great day of Vocations, Father Bosco, supported by Raphael hopes to be devoted to his superiors in his new mission. Weakened by his chemotherapy, he finds appeasement in the hospital, under the care of his nurse, Zivka. While Yann does not find the strength to tell José Father Bosco opposes his return, Guillaume threatened by sanctions for being drunk at the party welcoming the new seminarians, sees his cause pleaded by the brilliant father Abel...

Episode 4:
Guillaume, who seeks to prove his purpose inside the seminary, invites the pregnant women inside Notre-Dame du Bon Secours' home to attend mass, but one of them, Daphne, refuses the proposal and gives him a moral dilemma.
Episode 5:
Guillaume sees someone and that shakes him.

Guillaume considers leaving the semninary when faced with Father Abdel's suspicions on his homosexuality.

At the Capucins, where the atmosphere is gloomy, Guillaume takes a last photographe of his friends and Fathers, [...].
Episode 8:
Yann, Guillaume and José are trying somehow to envision a futur for their vocation.

Guillaume's story was a big part of the episode 1 of this new season, took about half of the episode (so about 20 minutes). I've subtitled a good chunk of it (more than what's below). Vimeo won't allow me to upload more than 500Mb. And with HQ, I've hit the limit quickly. I'll be able to upload more next week. Arte airs two episode every Thursday so I also have S02E02 to subtitle (that I'll have to divide in two parts). If you understand French (or French subtitles, they do speak fast) or German, go to arte.tv/asi, it's the officiale website for Ainsi Soient-Ils ( ep. 1, ep. 2). In the set up, you can choose between original, French subtitles or German dubs. ASI - Guillaume 01, of S02E01 Pour les français : lien pour la épisode 1, épisode 2, no subtitles

Thank you Chrollianne - for some reason I assumed this show was going to start back up in Jan. 2015, so it was a pleasant surprise to see a new clip! Season 3 should start in 2015, but I'm not sure when. From what I understood, early in the year, before the summer. The first two episodes are really nice, tho so much heartache for Guillaume, having to live in this homophobic world. I wish I could upload the whole thing at once...

I have added links for episode 1 & episode 2 for French people in my post above. And I have changed the way I name Guillaume's storyline : it will be " Guillaume 01" and so on, no longer related to which episode it comes from since it doesn't matter, starting from season 1, the very first part. Link to Guillaume 11 (mixture video, download file if you want HD quality) (I couldn't wait to share with you, I just couldn't ^_^ but I'll be starting a job on wednesday so I might not be as fast for the next episodes) (if anyone wants to subtitle in another language, I can send you links to all the files needed just putting it out there in any case)

I've just spent two hours subtitling Guillaume's storyline from episode 2. I still have his parts from episode 3 and episode 4 to do. Which are +10 minutes long each. Already dead thinking about it. (but I've done all the necessary prep to subtitle them, so expect them under a week, but keep in mind I've got school + 2 jobs) Episode 3 & 4 for French people are uploading (not subtitled, 94%-ETA 10 minutes). Episode 2 is getting the subtitled burned in the video. Part 2 of Episode 1 is being uploaded to vimeo as I write (14%-ETA 35 minutes), for those who haven't seen it on MixtureVideo. Found a way to be able to upload the next parts without waiting a week (because of Vimeo's limit). An update no one wanted but that you go anyway And if anyone's wondering why I'm putting that much work into it, it's because I thoroughly enjoy seeing Clément Manuel acting as Guillaume, the great way they're handling the storyline, the fact that it's so different from anything I've ever seen, the fact that no one's gonna do it otherwise, I just want to share this with you but, like, only 10% would understand it completely if I didn't. And I'm being nice on the 10%, more like 0.1%, 'cause not many people speak/understand French. Which doesn't bother me except in that case. Anyway, expect links soon ! =D
