The way they ended this storyline was horrible. Fuck this show for ruining Elias as a character and then killing him.

Just wondering what happen on the show since they killed off one gay character and sent the other off somewhere. If anyone know what's happening on the show, let us know. Do they have any more gay character besides Kalle. Thanks in advance.

Spent the last couple of weeks working my way through this thread watching all the clips. Though the abrupt end was pretty eye-roll worthy I have to admit that I did find the aftermath quite moving. The actors did a good job, especially Sebastian's and Marianna's. Elias, for all his faults, was the only reason I kept watching. It was a rollercoaster ride, albeit one with more downs than ups toward the end. Thanks to the uploaders. I also enjoyed reading all your comments/arguments  |

I'm heart broken that it's over even though I came to show later I still go back and watch from the beginning of their love story. I wonder what both actors are doing now.

I watched Elias on youtube since the beginning. I despised the exit of Elias. It was a cop out to have Marianna murder him just to keep his secret from Sebastian. They made mistake with lazy writing and going for the shock ending. It was good Lari left alone but the way they wrote off Elias left bad taste.

It seems to be a multi-episode arc but we really need a regular viewer who understands Finnish to tell us. Sadly it seems most are only interested in gay characters when they are young and cute.

I gave up on this show once I realized how much time I wasted on Elias & Lari I observed that Kalle was the target of a lot of criticism about his age, body and perceived lack of masculinity long before anybody even knew Lari and Elias were going to be written out in that terrible way. There wasn't much interest in him as a character outside of his interactions with Lari and Elias. And when he was paired with Lari, the only interest taken was to abuse him for some combination of those three reasons. I found it disheartening and shameful. I'm currently closer to Lari's age than Kalle's but eventually one day everyone will catch up to Kalle's age and it's depressing to imagine that this is the fate which awaits us - and mind you this is the reaction from the LGBTIA community and allies. |

He definitely is an alcoholic. I thought it was being set up as a long-running story and eventually his family/friends would catch on but it seems like no one has and it's been more than a year. The progression is more believable than how soaps usually do it, within a week a character is a full-blown alcoholic. But Kalle's has developed over a year. Maybe it's realistic that people don't notice or ignore the warning signs because they think "Nah, he can't be an alcoholic. He just had a bit too much to drink today".

It looks like Lari (Ronny Roslof) is back in the coming season? I'm not sure what he says in the trailer, but he looks really good. It's probably just a guest stint. I still hate that they fired him (and killed off Elias) just because Petteri wanted to quit acting.

I wish I knew what he was saying too, but I fear there are no more Finns who are gay/allies following this show after how they ended Elias's story. (I will forever be puzzled by that storytelling decision, in a show that had always been progressive and gay-friendly up to that point.)
I may be mistaken but I seem to remember Ronny had not wanted to quit but was fired, and he wanted to either do his MBA or work instead of acting. However I did see he had a small part in a Finnish movie called '95 so maybe he is sticking it out with acting.
