Davian, Thanks for translating the first episode, I sincerely appreciate it. It's a very musical language, and though I took Spanish in high school and can understand occasional pieces of dialogue, it's more likely that I don't understand what they're saying. I'm glad that there are people who are willing to help those of us who don't speak the language. I also want to say that I'm certainly not expecting you to do any translations. I certainly appreciate that you did, but you're doing it on a strictly voluntary basis, and understand that it's not necessarily a priority to get it done. If there's anything I can do to help with the translation effort, let me know. I don't specifically know Portuguese, but I'm willing to read over translations, or put in some time translating to English using the admittedly-not-great Google Translate. Thank you for understanding and for offering your help, fnord! That's really nice of you. I can't promise anything, but I'll try to translate the next episode little by little, whenever I have the time; I will then submit it to you so you can proofread it, ok? BTW, how bad is the first transcription? Kindergarten level?

Thank you for understanding and for offering your help, fnord! That's really nice of you. You're quite welcome! Anything I can do to help, I've not had the chance to help with anything else on the site, I'm glad to be able to offer something. Completely understandable, since you're doing this on a voluntary basis Sounds good to me. The transcription was quite nicely done. I especially appreciated the editorial comments you put inside, explaining various details about common sayings and expressions that don't translate very well. I love finding things out like that about other cultures!

I hadn't thought about this storyline in years, so I was quite surprised when youtube suggested the first clip of this storyline as something to watch -- even more surprising was that the clip had the little CC button! Come to find out - the entire storyline now has English subtitles! Here is the channel: www.youtube.com/user/MorangoGay/featured

It's a funny story if you don't expect nothing in terms of affection. Portuguese tv is still very prude in terms of showing gay affection even on prime time (and this was an afternoon show)

I quite enjoyed it - spent a couple days last week watching the clips. My one problem with the show was the everyone kept describing Fabio as a bully - yet a lot of the tactics they used against him were just as much bullying as anything he did, so I kept getting angry at the other characters.
Even though it was aired only 5-6 years before Os Nossos Dias and O Beijo do Escorpiao - it really doesn't seem like much has changed in Portugal over that time.

Anyone who wants to watch this storyline can find it from Safe Light (Dailymotion) with subtitles. I watched just a few parts, quality seems low.

The clips that Safelight used came from a channel (Gay Toons - sadly now gone) that uploaded the clips back in 2010-2011. So the video quality wasn't that great back then combined with years to degrade.
