When I look through the profiles and member introductions, it almost seems like being into gay daytime stories is inevitably linked to being a fan of BSG. The last season just premiered on Sci-Fi in the US - discuss the show here! BSG has yet to introduce a gay male character, for a lesbian revelation watch the two hour special RAZOR.

I am still waiting for Gaeta to come out and I know I am far from alone in that. The S4 premiere was good but it didn't knock my socks off. I think it was because of too much Starbuck. I know it just about sacrilege to say anything negative about her but I can't stand her for more than 5 minutes in a episode. I can't wait for the reveal of who the final cylon is/was...

The season premier was way more than I expected. My stress levels where off the scale during the entire episode.
Best parts were the eye-to-eye and the "please take my life"... And I agree, it would love to see Gaeta comming out of the closet and having a reciprocated love interest. On Razor it was established that homosexual relationships aren't frown upon inside the Colonial Fleet, so that's not a concern to him.
Have you seen the Extended Season Preview on Youtube? I love the moment where Tight grabs number 6 by the neck on a very typical Cylon fashion!! (Wonder if there was anybody else on the room to see that).
By the way, who wants to bet that Lee make it to the presidential chair?

I find it really funny that EVERYBODY thinks Gaeta is gay. I think its the hair...... ;D And it has taken all my will power not to watch that extended trailer. Season 4 starts here in the UK in just under two weeks and I can barely contain myself.

I loved this picture - and I suspect it contains several clues about the last season...

I find it really funny that EVERYBODY thinks Gaeta is gay. I think its the hair...... ;D For me it is not the hair, but his hopeless devotion to Baltar over the first 3 seasons (I mean, he even sticked with Baltar during the Cylon ocupation !!!!). If Baltar had reciprocated the attention it would be the biggest "Bromance" ever seen on TV. It has been established more than plenty times that Baltar is straight, but aside his geeky behavior and the "ohh, you are so wonderfull" looks toward Baltar, we don't know nothing about Gaeta's personal life. And I guess it is OK for you to watch the Season Preview... I mean, it is an official preview by the channel, so audiences are meant to watch it. Your anxiety levels are going to raise if you do, that's for sure.

I loved this picture - and I suspect it contains several clues about the last season... I read somewhere else that Roger D. Moore already decided who is going to be the 5th hidden Cylon and has been leaving clues for some time now... on the same place I read he said that the final Cylon IS NOT on that picture. So, given that the final cylon has to be some really important character (why waste the shock value with a lesser character?) and someone who is in position to advice/influence over a Power figure on the series (look at the other 4 of the 5) I would seriously nominate Dee -because I believe she´ll be "First Lady"- or Gaeta -because he is literary in charge of driving the fleet from point A to point B trough space.

"...but his hopeless devotion to Baltar...."
You mean his hopeless devotion to Baltars HAIR... ;D
I know what you mean about the trailer, but I've gotten very wary of trailers and teasers and official websites devoted to movies and TV shows over the last few years - I feel they give too much away. I have been to several movies where the trailer has more or less ruined the movie 'cause I feel like I've already seen it.
But I'm now going to contradict myself and watch the damn thing.

I'm felling bittersweet with Sci-Fi's decision to stream the episodes a few hours before they air them... and about their choices when picking the content for their "next episode" teasers. The Sweetness: Somebody high up there into the management finally understood that Internet is an allay instead of a foe. Back when SkyOne showed the episodes first than in the USA, they learned that the demand for BSG was such that people started downloading it from bittorrent right after they aired on UK. And I´m proud to say I was one of those downloading it. With their current strategy and current production quality on BSG I´m sure the viewership is on an historical highest point. The Bitterness: Even though Sci-Fi finally understood the idea, it flew right over SkyOne, who are now the ones postponing the airing.... I´m sure they cannot be that dense and expect people on the UK won't see it from the internet. Also, one of the strong points of BSG used to be that they can surprise whenever you less expect it... not so now that the next episode teasers are revealing the best dramatic moments of the upcoming episodes... there is no joy turning in when you have already seen the best that is going to happen. Which brings me in full circle into the sweetness part... because if I could watch the episode on-line I would totally know what is going to happen on the TV.... hmmm... I guess the difference is knowing it one week before than knowing it 4 hours before... didn't I said I was felling bittersweet? Stop reading right now if you live in the UK and don't want to be spoiled !! Otherwise, highlight to read. The Season premier was incredibly good, the second episode not so... or maybe it was but didn't felt that way because I already knew about the massacre inside the Basestar... there was no shock in it at all. Still the episode wasn't without good surprises, but the main one was totally spoiled for the viewers.
The Next episode (03) looks the same because, thanks to the "next on Battlestar Galactica", we know that Cally finds out about the weekly skinjobs meetings, attacks the chief and Tori vents her out of the launch tube.. they need to come up with something REALLY GOOD to top that and make us fell the episode was worth watching.
The cylon centurion upheaval had the potential of been even better drama than the Cally/Tori thing, but then again they already tipped us on how it will work out from now on between the skinjobs and the centurions

OK, where are the other BSG fans?
Since we are particularly found of screen kisses... there was one on the last episode that I found especially unsettling, to the point of actually getting nauseous watching it!!

I'm a fan. I haven't written out my thoughts yet on the most recent episode. I probably will on my LJ Monday and post them here too.

S4 started last week here in the UK - but I'm going to be working away from home for the next several weeks - so - I'll record it and have a BSG binge weekend when I get chance. So I'm begging people to not post spoiler info without hiding the text.

Now that half of season 4 has come and gone and we won't have any more BSG until 2009, here is my brief impression of S4 so far:
Cheap trill !
