Great to hear this interview but dang, I wish we had a little less rambling commentary by fans and more actual questions. It's great to show Freddie the love but I wish more time was devoted to him actually talking. Very fascinated by what he said about he and Chandler not doing interviews together. He seemed to imply somebody at the show had to give their permission before it would happen. That sounds really odd. Why wouldn't they want them doing press together?

Yeah true more questions would be nice but I think some of us are just very passionate about the story not to mention get excited talking to Freddie ;D. But we did get some good info from him. But yeah not buying the part about the show not wanting them to do press together. That doesn't make any sense.

I can't see why the show wouldn't want them to do some press together. Something else going on here I think....

The PR has to give the ok for any actor to do anything that is how all soaps are that is even how Van Hansis and Jake were and sometimes they are right there when they do interviews also one thing Chandler has his own PR (Jeffrey Ballard) man and he is there for everything Chandler does events and other things.

I thought at first Freddie was covering for Chandler a little bit but it's not like Chandler doesn't do interviews he just doesn't do them with Freddie. Maybe Chandler's publicist prefers solo interviews so he doesn't have to share the spotlight with another actor. Or maybe the show is just waiting until they're a more established couple. Also struck when Freddie said the reason they film so far in advance is because of their budget and having to pay the actors a 3/4-time instead of full-time wage. Sad!

Yes, that was sad.
I'm inclined to believe, that they are waiting for them to be more of a couple. I've just started watching Days again, did Chandler do a lot of interviews with that actress that played Gabi?

Not to my knowledge, maybe one, but he did have them with Deirdre (Marlena). At least a couple of them.

And those might have been pushed by Deirdre. I wouldn't think a lot about it. If what Freddie said, they are heading for supercouple status, they will eventually get there.

I hate when people keep saying he gained weight making it sound like it's a bad thing. He seems more fit to me than the cookie cutter guys in hollywood. I'd love to see pictures of people that post things about other people's weight.

Listening to an interview with Freddie from a few months back, I didn't realize that he was originally tryng out for the role of Brian. I wonder if it's the same Brian that later showed up in the show, who was not connected to anyone or just another character that they then later decided that it would be better to have him connected to a family and made him the Sonny character? Does anyone know?

No, it wasn't that Brian. Days were casting two character a gay one and an athletic straight one. Freddie did the casting for this last one, but Days changed their mind and combine the two characters. Brian was probably the name of the straight character.

Actually we don't know if Brian was suppose to be gay now that I think about it. He said that he tested 6 times and then finally with Chandler and Judi, but that was a chemistry test and that must have been after they had changed his character to Sonny.
He also said there were 8 total. I wonder who the others were?

Just listened to Freddie's live interview on blog radio. I am sure someone will post the interview. I was surprised there was no Q&A Session, but he was great. The only thing about Days that he said was that it is very clear that Will and Sonny love each other more than anything in the world. They will have their ups and downs caused by circumstances and people, but he really hopes they will be a power couple and thanks the fans and the writers. They want to portray a passionate, romantic and loving relationship. As far as the love scene, it was orchestrated. They did not want it to be messy. He sounds very committed to the story and fully expects it to continue.
The interviewer asked about Lucas, and he said Brian D. Is one of the funniest people he knows and is wonderful, that he is happy they are portraying a parent that is accepting and then worried which is realistic.

I think they just use random names to cast people sometimes as well before they know for sure what they're looking for or even so people don't get wind of things. Brian is a pretty common name they could have just been using it and coincidentally decided on the character's name Brian later.

Knots, it was a live call-in interview. Someone may post the link to their saved file. I missed the first 15 minutes because I was on my iPad and it would not open. He spoke about being an only child in Ohio, how he found acting and his moving to LA as an 18-year-old.
I got the impression that Will and Sonny are solid and will be for a long time with the usual soap dramas happening. May I add he sounds like a great guy!
