I disagree. Olli is the selfish one, having his stupid pity party and and only thinking about his own pain, instead of Nico and Phil. And Christian said it, he's getting use to Olli sending him away all the time. I'm glad Christian is not begging Olli to talk, Olli can have Jessica for that, his new BFF. I completely, absolutely 100% agree. Did anybody actually pay attention to Olli's behaviour in the hospital the other day? Nico has just been dragged out from Phil's room as his heart has just stopped. And Olli KNOWS of this. He didn't randomly walk in without knowing what's going on, he heard everything they were saying about Phil fighting for his life. And what does he say to Nico? "Is there anything I can do to help?"LOL!!! Are you a friggin' heart surgeon, Olli? Can you turn back the hands of time and prevent the accident? NO. There's nothing you can do and you know it and you STILL ask, it's as if you WANTED to be cussed out by Nico. IMHO, that was Olli being completely selfish and attention-seeking... Olli is really in a bad condition mentally, he just had s shock and he feels guilty. When he heard Phillip feels better, he went to the hospital to ask Nico and Phillip for forgiveness. If you think that's selfish, okay, but I really don't think Olli was seeking attention. --- Liked today's episode, but just because of the Chrolli scenes. The rest was not overly interesting imo.

Agreed, lolaruns. I feel like they are making this happen organically, slowly, push and pull etc. It would be too soon if there would suddenly be a big tearful hug and cry and sex-fest. Olli is still very hurt, no matter how irrationally he is acting. He also just experienced a trauma. As for Christian, its nice to see him compelled toward Olli no matter what, because he loves him, even though in the past few episodes he seemed more annoyed than really invested in how Olli was feeling.

Naw, I wanted a drama story for ages. I'm not gonna dislike this one when it actually feels like a drama storyline for a change. For me, it's like those episodes since Lilly's removal "don't count." The actual storyline starts now. Yeah, it's noteworthy that some German fans who didn't care about Chrolli or actually hated them as a couple find them now bearable or even like Olli with Jessica or with his guilt, I see it in general the same way. If Chrolli would get together again fast then they would be no use for the show, because VL is not very good at doing "outside obstacles" or stories for established couples in general. Many fans of this particular couple might not like this story, but in this way there is at least a chance that they are interesting for the wider audience and not a burden to the show.

I don't think it was annoyed. It was just a defense mechinism, from all the times that Olli has pushed him away. I don't know what Dana told Chrisitan, but I wish she had told him to not let Olli push him away because whether he admits it or not he needs him because he's drawning.

I'm not worried that it will last too long. I'm more worried that this will be a one week deal, that they put in the extra effort only because this is the first week of XL.

That's the thing I'm also worried about, because it feels like many things are happening this week and then stories will slow down again. Obviously TPTB are giving their best at the moment, but I'm not so sure that it will last...

It won't be a one week deal, since they probably shoot scenes out of sequence, so these were probably shot with others. I'm sure tptb and actors all know how important this is, so they will give it a good try for awhile, at least until these stories that they have started wtih this new format have played out. Then it's anyones guess.

Chroust has been "Treatment-Editor" for the entire block, whatever that might be. It's gonna be interesting who is gonna be it after him.

Olli spent the night at the bar the first night and lst night on the sofa. The multiple scenes in one eppy makes it seem like it's moving faster. I do wonder if that will keep up. I would think it would be expensive, having so many peopler per show, but I guess it all depends on show it's taped.

I've also been watching full epis and agree that the new format flows much better. Hope it continues, and I think it will given how busy the actors say they have been lately. Didn't Jo mention being very impressed with the way things were going and how the filming looked? I'm sort of getting a kick out of Tristan and WTH with Theresa? How does she not get fired. So sad to see Olli drinking, refusing to talk to friends and to Christian. Great scene at the WG door, even if Olli couldn't bring himself to open it yet. There's that door symbolism again...

I still really appreciate it though. I huge problem lately has been that the storyline just hasn't been fleshed out enough and all these additional minor scenes really help. And it finallymakes it seem like Chrolli are part of the larger canvas again. I agree it's not as fun and bright and snappy as it was in the Judith/Olivia/Gregor days, but at least they got rid of the problem of it seeming like nobody gave a damn about Chrolli having relationship problems/Andi being a crappy friend/etc. Now Charlie, Arno, Andi, Dana actually show up in their storyline.

Jo and Thore were great, as always. And that door... Doors do have a symbolism in Chrolli s/l, like banshee says. And Olli still wasn't able to open it. (I just remembered 04/04/08 Christian's bedroom door. ) I liked this episode. I wasn't expecting the guys to have so many scenes. Thanks for the lovely pics, Joanna.

I do agree, it's great that they are integrated into the s/l. Even with Chrolli not being attached as a matching set, I'm really enjoying VL XL.

I think it's funny that all the workers just sit down in the chair of their boss Hagen. Dana did it too ;D

Thanks, MM.x
I normally wouldn't write like this on a message board, but feel it's appropriate in this case......In that emotional last Christian/Olli scene, it's bad enough they had one of those 'Sendung verpasst?' messages appear right on Olli's head, but then to have it accompanied by a very noticeable 'whoosh' sound at the same time....That's frankly pissed me off! The on-screen text was already distracting, but that blooming noise over the top really does remove your focus from the scene for a bit and place it onto itself. It kind of takes you out of the scene. I found it highly disrespectful to the actors, Jo and Thore, those behind that scene, and to the audience. You just shouldn't do those kind of things during programmes. Not impressed.

Thank you MM!! I love how Andi was talking about how guilty Olli was feeling to that treacherous witch Helena. I cant wait until she gets her dues.
I love that REM song they played at the end!!

I know you've got a 'thing' with Das Erste advertising their Mediathek service, but this is not really all that bad. You should see what they're doing to the shows on other channels. This is very harmless. Does this not happen in the UK? It's pretty normal here in Germany. And I've seen it in the US and Canada, too. I guess you'll just have to live with it.
