wow ... sorry that I dared to write my comment on your post - it will never happen again I agree with you. Olli had no way of knowing that Philip would stop in the middle of the street. I'm not even sure he knew that he was wearing head phones. Mostly he didn't know there was a crazy woman on the lose. LOL so agree on the crazy woman on the lose remark Twatts!

I hope Chrolli hurry up and get back together, or else we'll going to kill each other fighting about who wrongs and who right. It's really kind of funny and it amazes me how so into these characters who are not real, but real to us. They are prefect make believe couple thou.

Call the biker a nasty name and glaring at the old man and the lady with the baby. They wanted her to look like a luniatic. The threw everything in front of her. I was expecting a kid chasing a ball, or maybe a couple of nuns with some orphans or a old lady with a walker. No, I know a blind person. If the situation wasn't so dire, it was boarderline Monty Paython the things they were having her almost hit before she hit Philip, but none of them made her think twice. There is no way you are suppose to feel sorry for her, but yet they have Ludwig taking care of her and protecting her. It's terrible, she might be in trama, but Philip is fighting for his life.

LOVED today's episode.
Emotion, drama, good pacing/editing.
Verena/Nico gave a great performance, even though her psychic tendencies the last week have been a little weird. Her breakdown at the hospital was wonderful. Great to see the show sent Ansgar with her. They don't remind us very often of their brother-sister relationship, but today was one of those times where they got it right.
I don't know where Andi came from to get to the scene of the accident so fast, but it's nice to see him play the devoted and unselfish friend at a time like this. I just hope he washed his hands after yesterday's elevator romp with Helena.
Tristan's shock was hard to understand at first, til I remembered they're supposedly best friends for many years (he and Philip). I can't say this often, but a good job from Jens.
I liked Renee/Helena today. Yeah, she brought this all on herself by being bats**t crazy behind the wheel. I think ultimately, it's a smart choice to have an "unlikely" person be responsible for this kind of tragedy. I really enjoyed her scenes with Ludwig, especially as he was putting the pieces together of what happened.
Thore didn't get much to do today, but served an important role in allowing Arno to deliver some exposition. Nice work from Arno/Konrad in his scenes with Nico. It's reminder of the foster-father/daughter relationship they share.
Later in the hospital scenes there was almost an opportunity for Elisabeth and Ansgar to show some emotion together. I was wishing the show would do it, even if it pushed the envelope of thinking they might actually get along in this type of situation.
LOVED Tanja and Sebastian today. Comic scenes to balance the tragedy, even if he is incredibly suspicious of Tanja's "sentimental" attachment to Ligne Clarise. And the clever touch of having her read the newspaper from 2001 announcing Clarissa's plane crash...genius!
Charlie/Gabriele was incredible. It's nice to see her get some real work these last few episodes with all the Clarisa business (and exposition). She really shone in all her scenes today. They honestly need to use her more.
Jo was phenomenal. He didn't need to say a word, but conveyed shock/horror/guilt in a powerful way.
Philip/Stephan was great. He didn't speak, and his eyes were closed the whole time. (not a fan, despite how pretty he is) ;D
And finally...Isa/Clarisa. Someone earlier mentioned her HUGE penthouse cell. I agree. And that prison must be HUGE too. Philip was taken to hospital, prepped for surgery, and operated on in the time it took her to walk down that freakin' hall. It's nice to know she seems well-liked by everyone else in prison. Fools. I'm going to like her A LOT. I'd love to see her and Tanja do battle when their paths finally cross!
This was a great, great episode. Second only to the Chrolli wedding. Comparing today with yesterday's episode, it was like watching a completely different show. The best thing about today's show was the way the stories involved almost the entire cast so far.
Only Jessica, Kim, Marlene and Viktoria were missing. With the exception of Viktoria, they weren't missed.
PS - That doctor was HANDSOME

Liked it (overall episode I mean), but didn't LOVE it yet. It felt a bit long at times. However, - It really does feel like a completely new show (in the sense of new, exciting, kinda unpredictable) - I loved Nico/Verena in this, particularly the scene where the freaks out at the coffee machine; She and Arno were amazing too - Charlie/Gabriele was WONDERFUL. She made me tear up in her scene even though it was a comparatively little part of the plot. It's a crime that she doesn't get more opportunity to do drama - Dagen need to be beat to death with a rusty bedpan. They felt so out of place - I rather liked the Olli bits. It was great to get some real Charlie/Olli stuff again. Loved it. I gotta give praise to the Mary's clips. Heh, any "too long issues" I might have are totally taken care of by watching edits. But I think even in those clips you can totally see that it feels like a new show. There were some tricky bits like the repeating of the flashbacks, but imo I have every faith in the world that those things will figure themselves out. I kinda remember when the first voice over episodes aired and a lot of things were stylistically very different back then, so I'm pretty sure they will figure things out as they go along. Excited to see where things are going with Tanja vs. Clarissa. Hoping for more Charlie and Arno

Oh and about the new opening credits: - I like them - Don't mind the new song as much as I thought though I kinda hope they go back to the old version after summer is over - Chrolli together - Poor Nico, only one picture and then it's the "gollum" picture as I like to call it (Nico staring greedily/insanely at the ring) - I dig the shot with the wind wheel thingie, I think it's very pretty Clarissa's voice: Beginning: "Who of us does not sometimes wish they could turn back time to take back a bad decision? A decision that maybe changed our whole life in a single instant." End: "Old enemies are like bad decisions, you never forget them. But if fate really has given you a second chance, you should use it to look forward, make a fresh start and rise from your past like a phoenix from the ashes"

That's going to be a very interesting episode I don't mind the new version of the song, but I do prefer the old one much better. And Chrolli is together, that's all I cared about ;D But after today's episode I'm really looking forward to what's going to happen with the other main characters, even when my German is very limited

I think that that's ie the one thing everybody wants to see and they'll probably make us wait forever. Hopefully they are entertaining enough in the meantime though so people don't lose interest BTW, for what it's worth: there was one more relevant scene. As everybody is at the hospital is waiting for the results of the surgery Arno receives a call. It's Charlie, Arno tells her that they know nothing yet, he asks how Olli is doing and then assures Charlie that it's obvious that Olli is not at fault, at fault is that damned runaway driver (pan to Helena and Ludwig).

I'm sure they know he's know at fault, but of course Olli doesn't feel that way. They are making it seem like Helena and maybe Ludwig are going to stung up when her involvement is exposed. I kind of think she should be.

Finally got to watch the last two eps, of course I always have time to watch when nothing is happening, but when I really want to see it, RL heats up. Anway, I have been posting about how this show just doesn't act like soaps I'm used to, and then it goes and ACTS LIKE A REALLY GREAT SOAP! Actually fun, dramatic, exciting to watch!
And only echoing everyone else: Gabrielle, Verena, and, of course, Jo all awesome!

just watched the yesterday eppy but unfortunately my cell doesn't load subs so I could just watched and listen to that in german. Jo, gabriele and verene were great anf I confess I cried when the camera wax still om phil's body covered with roses. I was so sorry for olli and I would have hold him tight and say it was not his fault at all. I don't like the new opening but I'm happy to see chrolli together even if separated by that photo. J got a place but thanks god not in chrolli picture. There were scenes much better than that for chrolli but at least they are on and we know it's time to be happy with nothing... Chrolli forever'and thanks joanna and may!

Just to say that I've altered the thread title...This thread can now be used to discuss ALL of this week's XL episodes. I'll add up whatever caps I do from today's episode (3866) on as a new post each time, and then add links to each caps album and to MM's youtube videos in the thread opener.

The times when it was interesting to read what people there think are long gone. but I have to say - Jo was great again !! although this story is really really crazy, for Jo it's a great acting opportunity Yep, he had some interesting scenes to play, and he did it pretty well imo. The current Chrolli storyline as a whole remains a disaster though.

Ohhhhh, this episode kinda defined the concept of "Be careful what you wish for". Weren't we all wishing somebody would finally give Olli a hug? ;D I liked that Olli played a relatively big part of the episode and I thought Jo did really well with it. Even Jana's level was brought up from her usual. BTW, I thought that was quite surprising that Olli and Kim/Ansgar played a relatively large role in this when other storylines which were in the spoilers (Arno calling his daughter for her birthday) had like 2 minutes of screentime. I'm kinda digging the new groove of the longer episodes. It leaves more time for smaller scenes like Tristan and Hagen takling about Phil and stuff like that. And you can hit me now but to me Christian came across like like was annoyed that Charlie and Arno were interrupting him from his meal when Charlie roped him into going to see Olli. BTW: Tom Chroust was storyliner again Maybe he really is trying to build Olli/Olivia part 2 before continuing with Chrolli. Other than Jessica being made of suck I don't even think that that has to be a bad thing. I would enjoy it if they managed to do something like put them both on a solid storyline ground before proceeding with the reunion story.

I have no watched the eppy because I have some problems but someone told me about olli refusing christian help and accepting j's. This friendship is the most stupid thing writers could invent for this crap they dare calling storyline.I love olli and chrustian but they are acting like possessed people thanks writers. No where in this world and life you would allow that bitch to be around and refuse the help of the supposed love of your life.. But I guess writers needed to find j something to do...

I like the show, even though I didn't like everything that happened. Ludwig being there for Nico, knowing full well that his daughter hit Philip. That was truly slim worthy. Then he saw her lay into Olli. How quickly people were bouncing back and forth was a bit of an annoyance too. Arno at the apartment. Arno at the hospital. Arno back at the apartment. Same thing for Ludwig and Andi.
I'm not liking how this Jessica thing is going. So even though it was a lie at the time, was Jessica right? Olli will forgive her before he forgives Christian. I didn't get him coming back and being all mad and throwing everyone out. Given the way he was the other day, I see him just wondering the street lost. I guess if he didn't do that, there wouldn't have been a reason for him to yell a Christian. At first I didn't understand Christian getting upset, but I think he got so use to Olli not acceping his help, while he was there waiting, he built up his defenses expecting Olli to get mad at him, which he did and so he left.
However, this wasn't the guy that came back and covered Olli with a blanket when they were trapped in Charlie's apartment. Chrstian would have come back to make sure that he was okay, but they want us to think that Jessica is better for him then his own husband is. Hey, maybe Olli will sleep with Jessica too.

I just don't want Jessica/Jana in Chrolli life all the time. I like her character because she's over the top. But her being Thore real life girlfriend is why I mention this.
