Thanks for the caps. You really know how to pick the good ones. Love this new format and although i dont know what was said enjoyed the episode. Seem to be more like the old Chrolli. Still not agreeing but actually looking in love at each other.

My main set won't be up until later on...so in the meantime x.... Thank you, thank you, thank you. This towel could not be any lower, could it? My week has been lousy up until now. I'm sure this will get me through the rest of it.

Thanks so much, Joanna. You always know how to make the best caps. And I'm not thinking about the ones with Christian in a very low, blue towel... nope... not me...

Thanks Joanna for the scrumptious caps, and MercuryMay for allowing me to enjoy it in motion.
I have a question: If the new format is in effect, with 2 SLs per episode, and, assuming Chrolli was the 1 of 2 today - why were their total onscreen story only ~7 mins? Or is it because VL being extended to 45 mins hasn't gone into effect yet, and it is still 30 mins?

Or is it because VL being extended to 45 mins hasn't gone into effect yet, and it is still 30 mins? That's correct. The extension will be effective only until May, after Marienhof airs its last episode.

Thanks for the caps Joanna! and yes, Christian's towel can and SHOULD be lower. MUCH lower... This is Europe, darling... we are comfortable with any nudity whatsoever! Ergo, THERE SHOULD BE NO TOWEL IN THE FIRST PLACE. On a more appropriate, today's episode didn't avoid the cliche way that Chrolli is being used (aka 1-episode-plot where Olli gets excited, Christian overreacts, they talk and all is well), but it was better written, better acted and with lots of fun stuff thrown in, like Christian and Charlie giving a friendly mother-in-law-from-Hell vibe to each other, Chrissy in the towel, the boys being sexy DILFs, etc. While they didn't get much more screentime than usual, the plot seemed more nuanced, or at least not crammed in a few minutes time. It also strikes me that this might not be the hot and heavy storyline most people seem to want, but I actually like it. It's about what being a parent means, even when it's not actually your child, even if said child isn't actually going to stay with you for long. Seeing how Lily's biological father is actually a great guy, I'm baffled at how the writers are going to end this storyline... do we get a tearful goodbye to Lily, with Chrolli getting f'ed up by this experience? Do we get a sinister phonecall from Cameroon, saying "Fritz got run over by a truck, enjoy raising his daugher for ever"? There's surely no easy choice out of this, unless they make Fritz a baddie, and I think that ship has sailed already.

AH. psychochris is making a fucking return to centre stage i see. brilliant. if i hear the words "have you lost it?!" followed by "its totally crazy!" ONE MORE TIME i will actually march to dusseldorf and force olli to sign the divorce papers myself. what happened to the days where christian was hot headed but knew that olli's calm temperance in all things emotional was best for him in end?! whn did he just decide to let his innerarsehole take over and run the show. mother-in-law from hell? christian was one demon child of a son-in-law... he reminds me of my brother's wife, telling my mother, veteran of countless children, she was holding the baby wrong and the hissing to my brother 'out of ear shot' - "why does SHE do this to ME?!? why does SHE put me in that position in front of you?!!?!?" whilst my poor niece dangled from an outraged arm!! he's so desperate to spend every minute with lily he's out birthing foals till the wee hours. fucking hell. lighten up... he was SO arseholey i would have barely noticed the half naked scene if it wasn't for the hammy acting from the lovely mr scholermann (who poor thing is the victim of a bad script and SL in general - but could make more of an effort not to look like he's disinterested with/hates olli). is it just me or does thore 'not really mind' walking round in just a towel. i probably wouldn't with a body like that. but he always looks mighty proud in the nekkid scenes. and always the same routine with the chilled bottle of water from the fridge. we get it! he's HAWT. please drop the towel and give them a love scene!!! before i die of boredom.

It did seem kind of silly for Christian to go nuts over a calendar, especially one specifically about gay parents/patchwork families. I mean, it was perfect for them. At the very least it would have been a sweet memento of his and Olli’s time with Lily and how they’ve made such a difference in her life. Is it really that difficult for the writers to create more organic drama? For example, it would have made more sense if Christian felt guilty or torn about working so much and missing out on time with Lily. So he over does both in an effort to compensate and then his heart issues creep up just a little. And then Olli could use the calendar as a sort of solution to create more bonding and reassurance that Christian’s doing the best he can. I don’t know, maybe that’s too much to cram into 7 minutes. I just wish for a bit more depth to the conflicts I guess. I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll get it when the show goes to double time. Thank you Joanna for the caps and May for the vid and translation!

This is nothing that Christian hasn't done before and will inevitably do again. He flies off the handle, but in this i felt as though the writers kept a sort of consistency in this, because his freakout is motivated by the fear of loss, and loss has pervaded his life to an almost scary extent. He's lost his entire family in one fashion or another, his brother almost died twice, Olli almost died, he almost lost his life and ended up losing his career, he almost lost his boyfriend to another sinfully sexier man, and now he has to live everyday with the imminent loss of this child, so yeah, I expect Christian to freak the f*ck out a lot more before this is all over. What I don't understand is the rapid fire way this is all presented and then wrapped up, like gimme a break, can't they let it build over time? Can't we have Chrissie being a neglectful father and then revealing it's because he doesn't want to lose LIlly? Can't we have Olli getting hit with the sad bug too every once in a while? I HATE these hastily presented problems and resolutions, i despise them. And i despise the fact that it's been far too long since i've seen Olli in anything approximating a state of undress, i mean at this point I'd be glad of just seeing him with his button down shirt open... huh.. i went off on a tangent in the end there...

My problem with the whole Christian freaking out all the time thing is that they're making him look like he's constantly the bad guy and that he's the only one in the relationship with any flaws. I feel like it used to be more balanced. Olli was always a little too impulsive and Christian was a little quick tempered, but neither of these traits was overdone to the point of making either of them look like a bad partner (except for maybe during the Rob storyline, but I try to block that out). Now, it's like every other episode they have Christian flying off the handle for one reason or another and then apologizing just to do it again two episodes later. I just wish they could work through things together rather than having it always feel like they're on opposite teams or at least talk through their issues instead of always yelling about them first. I just feel like they're ruining the great dynamic they've always had.
