Has anyone heard of "Captive Prince" by C.S. Pacat?? (Sorry if this has been posted before..) I just read the first 2 books this summer and they're just amazing!! I can definitely recommend them if you haven't read them. The third (and last) book comes out in February next year. Here's the description from Volume 1: Damen is a warrior hero to his people, and the truthful heir to the throne of Akielos, but when his half brother seizes power, Damen is captured, stripped of his identity and sent to serve the prince of an enemy nation as a pleasure slave.
Beautiful, manipulative and deadly, his new master Prince Laurent epitomizes the worst of the court at Vere. But in the lethal political web of the Veretian court, nothing is as it seems, and when Damen finds himself caught up in a play for the throne, he must work together with Laurent to survive and save his country.
For Damen, there is just one rule: never, ever reveal his true identity. Because the one man Damen needs is the one man who has more reason to hate him than anyone else...

Good guess, gidi I'm still not sure what to think of season 2... it feels like a lot is happening but not really? Or maybe it's just me who think it's painfully slow. But great scene with Sammy and his dad in the latest episode. Did his dad know about him being gay or did he just now figure it out? I wasn't really certain after watching their scene. Are there only 2 episodes left now? Hey vesper. Sammy's definitley more in season 2 than he was in season 1 but I'm not sure I could recommend watching it? The season's alright but nothing you can't wait to see later, imo. sure there are 12 episode but maybe 13 I am not sure this week it was 8 Thanks, gidi. That's at least something. I'm still not sure I believe Abdul is dead... there's always something when you don't get to see the dead body in a movie or a series. Or maybe I'm just in denial. I think it would be awesome if it turned out not to be true that he's dead.

I know. But are we sure about this? Is there a body? Because we all know what happened to Barry. Idk.. maybe I'm just holding out hope. I just want to see more of Sammy's love life, maybe they could even give him a boyfriend (not Abdul obviously), but I guess not since the season is over soon? Yes anything can happen ,but most likely Sammy will meet his father .. next epis name fathers and sons..Good guess, gidi I'm still not sure what to think of season 2... it feels like a lot is happening but not really? Or maybe it's just me who think it's painfully slow. But great scene with Sammy and his dad in the latest episode. Did his dad know about him being gay or did he just now figure it out? I wasn't really certain after watching their scene. Are there only 2 episodes left now? How much Sammy is there this season? Should I bother watching it? Hey vesper. Sammy's definitley more in season 2 than he was in season 1 but I'm not sure I could recommend watching it? The season's alright but nothing you can't wait to see later, imo.

Not really. Abdul just called Sammy in the second episode to tell him he was sorry about what happened to Barry, that he was going to look for a new job(?) and that he missed Sammy even though they may never see each other again. That was pretty much it... So may be will be hope for them to meet again....it end open option I think it's possible if Sammy ever goes back again but I don't think it'll happen this season. And if Abdul moves to another city, I guess it's becoming more and more unlikely they'll ever see each other again.

Ugh. That was the end?? That was a really bad ending (for Abdul). It doesn't make sense at all - in season 1 Abdul said something like "Where Ahmed goes, I go" and we haven't seen him since episode 5 or 6 in season 1 but Ahmed has a lot of screen time. It's bad writing. I'm okay with Sammy getting a new love interest and that makes sense - a long distance relationship between Sammy and Abdul would be strange but they could have ended it better... Was something between Abdul and Sammy in 2 season? Not really. Abdul just called Sammy in the second episode to tell him he was sorry about what happened to Barry, that he was going to look for a new job(?) and that he missed Sammy even though they may never see each other again. That was pretty much it...

I have 4 of the books but I've only read the first... I never really got into it and after seeing the movie I was further discouraged from continuing. I've heard many times that her other series The Infernal Devices is much better but that's just hearsay. But from the little screen time they had together in the movie, and from an excerpt I read that Clare wrote for the two, I hope the TV series will do them justice. What's up with all that makeup on Harry though... hopefully it was just hot and at the end of the day resulting in a smeary mess and ... yeah... The Infernal Devices, is that the backstory of Magnus? Yeah... I'm not really certain on the makeup either... I hope it'll look better on screen!

So.. I guess they finished the Sammy and Abdul storyline in this episode? I'm happy they at least gave them some sort of ending, though I hope they will bring in a new love interest for Sammy. Ugh. That was the end?? That was a really bad ending (for Abdul). Matthew is new eye candy to me, of course we already know Harry from Glee. I've got a question for those who've read the books. Do these two characters get decent focus in the books? I know they're not first-tier characters, but are they second to the leads or much lower down the ranks? And when they do get focus, is it about them and their own stories (esp. romance) or are they simply supporting the lead characters' stories? From what I understand (I've only read 2 books) they do get a pretty decent focus. And I know when the focus is on them it's about them, their own storyline, so they're not always just supporting the lead characters. I hope the series will focus a lot on these 2 because from how much Magnus was in the first book and the movie, it's amazing Harry is already on set and filming. His part didn't seem that big in the first book and in the movie, so I hope it's a good sign he's filming already.

Yeah.. I'm not sure how much we'll be seeing Sammy this season. It looked like his mom went home to the US again? I hope they'll continue to keep Sammy as part of the show but after the last part of season 1 it doesn't give me much hope for season 2. They have to come back when they realize that Bassan (Barry) is alive, right? I don't think we have seen the last of them yet. What I am worried about however is that we'll get to see less of his son's gay life. Like.. I do expect him to be back with his father, but will we just see him for a few seconds every episode, or will they actually give him a storyline? Would be nice if he could come out to his dad at the very least, I'd like them to give him a love interest too, but I don't see it happening.. hope I'm wrong though. But how long will it take for them to realize he's alive? Mid-season or by the end? It's seem really weird that Jamal left Barry in the desert... does he expect Barry to die out there? That seems like an even crueler way to take the life your own brother than hanging him. But maybe that's just me.. I really hope Sammy gets a storyline this season and it annoys me that we don't even see Abdul - where did he go? I hope we see Sammy come out to his dad as well. Just give us that one! He will definitely appear this season and they will explore the risk posed by his homosexuality. I heard from someone who watched a screener [early preview of episodes] that later in the season (highlight to read spoiler) Sammy is caught fooling around naked with another guy. (end of spoiler) I hope this happens justinate, I really do!!

Thanks nanii Do you know if the gay son will be back for season 2? I didn't see him in the video (only the sister), so I'm confused. He was seen for a few short scenes in the 1st episode. Yeah.. I'm not sure how much we'll be seeing Sammy this season. It looked like his mom went home to the US again? I hope they'll continue to keep Sammy as part of the show but after the last part of season 1 it doesn't give me much hope for season 2.

Shadowhunters is a new show that'll premiere sometime next year. This new series is based on the book series called: The Mortal Instruments. The first book was also made into a movie called, The Mortal Instruments: City of bones which premiered in 2013. The movie didn't do so well and I guess someone made the decision to make the book series into a tv series instead. The 2 gay characters (1 of them being bi) is Alec Lightwood and Magnus Bane. Alec Lightwood will be portrayed by Matthew Daddario: and Magnus Bane will be portrayed by Harry Shum Jr.: They've started filming. Here's more of the cast: And the guys in costume:

Finally watched the scenes from early this week... Oh, dear God, Ste. He's latching onto Sinead and the baby in an attempt to find ... meaning? Love? Acceptance? Comfort? I really don't think he's in love with her. I think Sinead is eventually going to get hurt by Ste, but to be honest I don't really care. I have no idea what Ste is trying to find but he seems really lost.. I don't think he's in love with Sinead either, it doesn't seem like it anyway. (Who can blame him really?) Ugh, their storyline is so cringe worthy atm, I can't stand to watch their scenes. But when will there be more of JP and Lockie?! It was finally getting interesting again!
