Sometimes I think the writers don't really know young gay men's inner lives at all. Young gay men aren't all perfect waiting for prince charming. Young gay men aren't also all exact replicas of each other. There may be some waiting for a prince charming. There may be some who aren't. I think it's over-generalizing to assume that all gay men think alike and all want the same things. There's something to be said for variety in the type of gay men portrayed onscreen so that it's more reflective of the different types of gay men in real life. I mean, if it's all about just seeing men fuck or be all over each other, that's what CorbinFisher and other sites are for. I'd rather see a good story than it just be about Sonny or Will fucking each other or others all around Salem. That's boring whether it's hetero or homo... and it's also what porn is for, not a soap.

These comparisons of Sami's history vs. Adrienne's history are pointless because neither Will or Sonny give a damn about what the other's parents have done in their lives. The far more significant bone of contention is what Adrienne thinks of everything Will has said or done or felt. Then of course there is Will's less than stellar treatment of Sonny in recent months. She may not know everything the audience knows but Adrienne is certainly justified in thinking Will is going to hurt her son. None of that matters since nothing we have seen so far is capable extinguishing that torch Sonny carries for Will. Until something does happen which changes how Sonny sees Will (or how Will sees Sonny), we have a lot of drama for the sake of having drama. At least the drama has been entertaining in the past weeks so I don't mind enduring all of the miscommunication, uncertainties and the sparse amount of school girl friendly PDA. I agree. I also am not angry at Adrienne for feeling as she does. She didn't just march up to Will and say he sucked or wasn't good enough for Sonny. She was talking with Justin about her concerns and Will overheard. It's unfortunate he did but she didn't go out of her way to hurt him. She's entitled to her feelings, and more so concern over her son. If she'd just been a complete bitch and yelled at him in public a la Sami & Kate, then I'd say she overstepped in stating how she feels but having a private conversation with her husband about her concerns that was overheard? Nope.

Wow, I can't say enough about how much I love the way Sami is sticking up for Will and not backing down! The fact that the biggest star of the show, the always flaky Sami Brady, is such a huge WilSon fan is a good thing. Seeing Kate and Sami tag-teaming Adrienne was very entertaining. Adrienne certainly held her own though, great scenes for all three ladies. A scene involving three different characters talking about Will and Sonny without Will or Sonny present has gotta be a huge milestone for this storyline. I think it's a lot less about Sami being a Will/Sonny fan and a lot more mother'sanger at someone talking about her child resulting in that child being hurt.

Poor Adrienne, she just wants the best for her son. LOL yeah i wouldn't want to be on her place now and crossfire with these two furious witches ;D Adrienne can hold her own and get nasty if she has too. I have faith in her from what I've seen in prior years.

The new SOF spoilers suck so hard. Yep, Friday is going to show another round of even lower ratings for this show. Just awful. About the only interesting storyline is Will/Sonny with a side of Adrienne, Justin and Kate. I see the the rest of the storylines as complete bullshit and totally unenjoyable, uninteresting, and unoriginal. Reading the twitter revolt about the show currently and I am far from alone in my unhappiness.

I just found a spoiler and posted in the spoiler section. Gabi is going to confess Sept 25 to Melanie about the whole Andrew thing. [ for those that don't know ... Gabi hired someone she didn't know (Andrew) to pretend to stalk her, so that Chad would break up with Melanie and run to Gabi's rescue. (Stupid storyline). But the guy Gabi hired -- Andrew -- was unstable and he decided to kidnap Melanie and keep Melanie for himself. And Gabi didn't tell anybody, and then Andrew had them in the tunnels under the city and he lit a match ... but there was a gas leak. And massive explosions under city and building collapse. Andrew died afterwards in the hospital. Chad is the only person alive who knows what Gabi did. Chad has kept this info a secret so as to protect Melanie from the knowledge that Melanie's "friend" Gabi is really scum. (More stupid storyline)] As a result of explosion, Jack and Madison died. Jack was Adrienne's brother, so Jack was Sonny's uncle. Jack was Jennifer's husband -- and Jennifer is Will's aunt. Madison was Brady Black's fiancée. Brady Black is Justin's first cousin.Brady Black is Sami's stepbrother (long story). Anyhow. I can't stand Gabi and Melanie. And I didn't really care about spoilers about them. But ... the reason I posted the spoiler was because. ... It will be interesting if Sonny and Will find out what Gabi did.And it will be interesting if Sonny and Will find out if their friend Chad hid this information.
Brady and Justin are second cousins. Brady's mother, Isabella, was Justin's first cousin. Anyhoo, I don't think Jack dying impacts Will much cause though Jennifer is his aunt, he's never really spent time with his non-Brady family except for Kate & Austin. Adrienne, though, was close with her brother and I can see Jack's death... if the writers bother to write for it more strongly than they already have, which is pretty much nil... having a greater impact on she & Sonny. Regardless, I wish Chad wasn't letting Gabi off the hook as that inadvertently protects her from having people rightfully stand in line to kick her ass over such a stupid idea. Then again, not like she's all that remorseful now but I'm curious how she's going to spin that revelation of what a selfish, stupid, careless thing she did all in the name of "love." I get why Chad is hiding it, even if I don't necessarily agree because I would rather it be outed and Gabi drummed out of town instead of becoming the heroine of the 20s set. Fucking joke by the writers but one in a long list by Tomlin of things to come. Though I do love that her secret will fuck up Rafe in giving EJ ammo on his covering up another crime for his family. Sorry, it's not honorable to me to protect someone guilty so they don't have to face consequences. It smacks of hypocrisy when a person gets to pick and choose who should have to be held accountable for actions they directly caused. It's not his first time in this pony of lying about a crime. What a great officer! Glad he got that "well-deserved" promotion while we'll soon see Bo leave the force due to budget cuts.

According to Bryan Dattilo's twitter, the show is taping Christmas day ep today.
It's just nuts how far ahead the taping schedule is for this show.

It concerns me that people are holding so tightly onto Brian. He is a bit player who was only there to serve as a speed bump for Will and Sonny. The truth is that, unfair as it is to Freddy, Sonny is there for Will. Will was the established character. It is his coming out, his firsts. Will is the Emmy winner. If Sonny and Will don't work out, don't kid yourselves...they'll send Sonny back to Dubai so fast your head will spin and bring someone new on for Will. Look at ATWT. When Luke (that show's version of Will) transferred his affections from Noah to the randy doctor, they didn't suddenly bring someone new on for Noah. He faded into the background as if he wasn't even there until Dr. Dreamy died and they pulled him forward again to be the "possibility" for Luke. It may suck, but the show has made it pretty clear which horse they're betting on. One person's Dr. Dreamy is another person's Dr. Overrated but regardless, this is a conversation better suited for general discussion or Freddie's thread than spoiler discussion. Pls move it to one of those threads.

Good commentary on last week's eps: soapcentral.com/days/content/scoop/twoscoops/2012/120917.phpThis part was especially fun: Adrienne's worried about Sonny's choice in mates. She adores Will, but likes Brian, who's on the dean's list, pre-med, captain of his crew team, and a vampire slayer. Um, maybe not that last one, but he is pretty. I get her concern and swooning over Brian. Will does come with baggage, and Brian is perfect like St. Rafe (only actually interesting as a character). But Sonny really made a valid counterpoint by reminding Adrienne that the Johnson and Kiriakis families have a few issues, too. Snap!

Cameron seems to sane for all of this. He's almost too normal. Not as wooden at Rafe but not exactly engaging. Ever since I read on another board someone calling him Black Leno, that's all I see when he's onscreen.

Screencap of Adrienne's face: daytimeconfidential.zap2it.com/2012/09/13/soap-bytes-natalie-saves-port-charles-on-gh-ronan-wants-phyllis-bad-on-yrEnjoyed the comments too except that stupid baby name by Nicole. It's interesting Adrienne's position but with her VERY troubled past and despite the great state she's in now, I can see why she'd want someone less dramatic ... and less related to Sami & Kate... than Will. That said, I think it's silly they left out Lucas in the damaging sector cause he was a jackass for most of Will's youth in his and Sami's games over who got to raise Will. Lucas can roll just as dirty as his ex-wife, so Will has that from both sides directly.

I read on another board that TPTB are considering filming even more ahead than they already are. Considering that the show is filming Christmas episodes this week, I just want to bang my head on a wall. This is such a problem when storylines don't work out with a majority of the audience cause they're too far ahead to change anything and viewers just either suffer through or turn off the show completely.

I think the writers want folks to forget that Victor was a vicious son of a bitch and want to relegate him to role of curmudgeon grandpa. Sad, though, because other characters go on and on ad nauseum about how evil the DiMeras are yet nothing about Victor, a man who did some shitty, malicious things to the "good" townspeople of Salem for many years. I like that Victor is still salty at times but I hate that his history of being sneaky evil and vicious to get what he wanted has been pretty much ignored. I mean we're talking about a man who was willing to kill his son in order to keep him from the woman Victor wanted as well as blackmailed is supposed love his life's daughter (Kimberly Brady) to prostitute herself to him to name just a few things he didn't without blinking or with any type of conscience. Victor cleaned up his act to a degree because of his dead daughter Isabella (Brady's mother) yet he's still ready to throw down to protect his family ... or yell harsh truths at Brady and Philip when they screw up. Victor back in the day makes the DiMeras today look like pikers, which is another reason that "evil DiMeras" melodramatic statement that the "good" townspeople utter whenever anything bad happens makes me roll my eyes. Really is a shame but that's what myopic, plot pointed writing will get the audience.

Ryan White-Nobles @sourceryan ( ) DAYS is down 200K from the week before but up 200K from this point last year. That's breaking even. Which is good for DAYS.
I contributed to the drop since I knew there would be lots of Super!Rafe & Sami/Rafe strongly featured for the week. None of that for me. ETA...Here are the actual ratings numbers: www.soapoperanetwork.com/2012/09/ratings-great-week-for-gh-2
