Van is doing his job and is trying selling the shit. I don't blame him at all. It's the show, CG and JP that should get the blame. I don't think very many (if any) nukies will be swayed by it.

It also says that Luke tells Noah that they can't be friends anymore.
Van says: "It's kind of like a breakup in real life. For whatever reason you have to move on. I hope the people who have been Nuke fans get to see this is a step in the character's growth. There's an understanding that's established between them that there is still love for each other."
Tuesday, Sept. 7th - Tom and Margo deliver some devastating news, and Luke is in for a big shock. "Luke goes through his first and complete utter heartbreak." says Van.
No, I don't because I don't see any character growth. For god sakes, it's only been what a month since LuRe decided to date and we are suppose to believe that this is a epic romance, after what 7 months of nothing then 2 weeks before Reid dies all this happens? ROFL. Totally unbelievable and totally dismisses anything Nuke.
Well, I'm glad I was kind of ready for that. Well, I guess I won't be watching the rest. It's a shame they had to end the show this way.

And all the Noah's plans are altered spoiler or something like that. I expected him to at least stay in Oakdale. Maybe the promise he made is that he'll come back or something like that. I don't know, i find all this incredibly absurd. From the moment Reid gained popularity we'll know that not everybody will be happy at the end, but making sad everybody is just beyond ridiculous. In the last weeks we'll get all the straight characters marrying each other and having their happy endings, and the gays will be death, gone or alone (the message is loud and clear) According to rumors/spumors... Noah, on the 1st, will tell Luke that he wants to be with him but Luke will tell him that he's either falling in love or is in love with Reid. They will say their 2nd goodbye. Noah will leave for LA after the 3rd and final goodbye on the 16th. Noah will most likely not be mentioned on the 17th at all. Frankly, the ending does suck. Reid is dead. He had some character growth by trying to be more "human" and opening his heart to Luke. I didn't think it was too successful but that's just my opinion. Noah, who had big dreams coming into the show and came out during his time on the show and is now comfortable being gay. Now at the end seems to be starting to realize those dreams as he leaves for LA, even without Luke. Luke ends up basically where he was 3 years ago. Depressed and living with his parents. It's ironic that Luke was upset that he wouldn't have anyone to love and that's exactly how he ends the show. It's very sad, IMO.

^^^ I think the spumors/spoilers have been pretty accurate so far. While I think some of the dates are wrong, I think the gist of what happens is correct. I don't think Noah changes his plans is accurate though and if it is, it's on Sept 1st.
Sept 1st, I believe Luke tells Noah that he's falling in love or is in love with Reid. I think Luke regrets not having sex with Reid is before the 16th but after Reid dies of course.
The 16th is looking to be pretty much a goodbye for Luke and Noah with some talk about their history and then a goodbye kiss and then Noah leaves for LA and Luke stays in Oakdale. Pretty much it's up to the viewers to decide if Luke and Noah get back together, from what I hear. It's not explicitly said.

I think the sad thing is that it looks like Nancy is the loser in all this. She will get very little grieving time since they will all move on to Chris and grieving for Reid.
I don't expect any (or very little) rapprochement between Luke and Noah. I expect their last scene to be heart warming and heart breaking all at the same time. It's a goodbye scene for the most part.

Well, it's very equalitarian, nobody is gonna be happy at the end I was hoping I was wrong but it looks like it's playing out close to what I've been saying. Sucks doesn't it to end a good run (in my case, Nuke) with a pile of shit, where nobody will be happy, just so they could possibly win an Emmy for a canceled show. Bastards.

^^ I hear no sex from the people I hear spoilers from but it's not 100%. Considering the 3rd is coming pretty quick, it would have to happen like in a weeks time.
It's not unusual for soul mates to separate for a while especially on soaps.

Rumor says it's possible that Noah could be on two more times.
Nat Enq says Noah is on the 6th and then there is the ceremony at the pond, which I don't think was in Jakes count either.
Edit: There is talk that this info is wrong... that they could be scenes that were cut from the show. I guess we will have to see if he shows up on the screen or not.

The show has shown Luke IS ready to have sex with Reid. During Noah's surgery, they got very close before he pulled away. Then again at the Snyder's, when Noah interrupted them... he wasn't pulling away. Then he invited Reid to come in and spend the night at his place only a few episodes ago, but Reid declined. It's a very clear invitation: Luke: Come inside, no one's home. Reid: ....I have surgery in the morning at 8. I should go. Luke: Unless you'd rather stay. (08-10-10). and the week before, I believe it was, he said he couldn't have sex with Reid because he thinks about Noah. So what happened in that week that made him change his mind?... Nothing, IMO, but a horrible date that Noah's name was mentioned in every scene. It's just more bad writing. Frankly, it's not even worth discussing/arguing about. The writing just doesn't make any sense during this whole thing. I can pull out 100 things that can contradict 100 things you bring out and in the long run, this sucky show isn't worth that. Anyway, it's getting off topic.

They never care about the gay storyline at all (apart of the good ratings and publicity) so i won't be surprised for that crappy ending Totally agree.

He should totally be worried about Noah's feelings at that time. Wouldn't Luke deciding to be with Noah just days, weeks, or a few months after Reid's death be a better example of being self absorbed? Luke loves Reid, so of course Reid will be his main focus, not dealing with Noah. Just like now, his main focus is Reid, and not his ex boyfriend, who he's told countless times that they are through. I didn't say anything about Noah.

^^^ Just heard the rumors myself last night. Be prepared for the worst ending you've probably ever seen in your life. I can't imagine anyone being happy with this ending.
After a stalled summer, the last 3-4 weeks of the show Luke and Reid will continue to get closer until Reid dies. Caitlinp is right, train going for Chris's heart.
I hear that the story is rushed and probably won't make any sense at times (to most people). Luke will grieve on Noah's shoulder. Self-absorbed Luke will come out after Reid's death and may not be all that attractive.
Luke and Noah will not get back together (unless they threw in a curve ball, which I doubt). Nuke will remissness at WOAK on the 16th, with one final kiss (probably on the cheek or something).
Reid will be in Snyder pond (like the memorial photo), Noah will leave for LA to follow his dreams while Luke says in Oakdale grieving his lost love (or loves). I've heard the "future" look is like a week or something stupidly short.
If you're going to have Luke and Reid fall in love and not get Luke and Noah back together in the end, then why kill Reid? Why put Luke in the place were it all started. Fearing that he will be alone and actually will be when the curtain falls. Why not a happy ending? I don't like the signal it sends.
What a horrible FU to Luke and to Noah and Reid... all the gay characters on the show. ATWT at the Daytime Emmy's and at the Paley Center talk up Nuke and how proud they are to have created the storyline of their gay storyline but they couldn't give it a happy ending. FU ATWT/P&G.

That's not how it happened. Luke made it clear to Noah on the roof that he didn't want to get back together with him, and he made it clear to Reid that they weren't together in the same episode. The problem is that Noah didn't want to hear what Luke was saying. He still doesn't want to hear what Luke is saying. LOL.... It is a shame that the only thing that brings Luke and Noah back together and that's only possibly, is Reid's death. I'm not fan of the pairing, but I think if they must put them back together, then have them come together as adults, having grown up and changed and learned from the past. Otherwise they are doomed to failure. And as it stands, given that they both haven't changed much, especially Noah, I don't see how it could work as they'd repeat the same mistakes over and over. Luke and Noah's story Part 444 (May 13th, 2010) After Luke and Noah were on roof... Ali and Casey were kicked out of Noah's room... Reid was jealous and Luke called him out on it. Start at 3:00 Reid: Noah's my patient and your his cheating boyfriend. Luke: We are not back together... you know that. Reid: Does Noah realize that? Luke: Well...we are trying to work things out.Reid: Good luck with that Mr. Snyder Luke: Don't call me that. Reid: What do you want.. from me.... <rest not important> Noah sees the blurry outline of Luke and someone he can't identify though a hospital window. I don't think Luke was sending Noah mixed signals, especially in regards to getting back together, which he said he didn't want. The only thing Luke failed to do was tell Noah why he didn't want to get back together i.e. his involvement with Reid. But Noah knew Luke was not into rushing back into anything with him. Are you kidding? ROFL. Luke bounced back and forth between Noah and Reid several times until Noah talked Luke into talking to Reid. But frankly, at this point, it's not worth arguing over. Nobody really knows how the show is going to end. Reid will be dead. That's for sure. Luke and Noah will have a final scene on the 16th @ WOAK, which Jake said in Paris fan event. I think there may be possibly something on the 17th that involved Van, I believe, that's possibly the future episode that everyone is talking about. JAKE (from MF interview): It’s a soap; of course you need your hankies. I am saying, I think fans will be able to see what they are looking for in it.

Looks like Reid's "accident" happens the week of Sept 6th. Might be a cliffhanger from the friday before. I guess the Nuke fans know when to start celebrating then...... BTW, I edited the post. Looks like it will probably (begin) happen next week (probably friday) with a cliffhanger over the holiday weekend. Most Nuke fans probably won't celebrate as we know the ending sucks for everyone. I'm sure some will but like I've said here many times before. I won't be. I think the entire storyline was a total waste of time (along with the other 90% of the show as well).

Sorry, i read that a lot, but i don't think Luke is like Lily at all. Lily cheats on his multiple partners. Luke never cheated on Noah, and he won't cheat on Reid I was talking about Lily marrying Damian when Holden's body wasn't even cold. It does look possible that Luke could be setting up to be with Noah (probably after Noah's movie is done), even when Reid's body isn't cold. That's my comparison. While he never technically cheated on Noah, he did kiss Brian and he also wanted to work things out with Noah, while he was sneaking around kissing Reid. Reid asked Luke where things were left after Luke and Noah talked and Luke said that he and Noah were going to try to work things out. Noah then found Luke and Reid kissing. No, kissing isn't cheating but not nothing either. No, the issues of Luke and Noah's relationship are both their faults. I do not blame one person over the other. Noah is just as much to blame as Luke is.

What's strange about the story? Two very different people meet under strange circumstances. They hate each other at first, but then fall in love. Soaps, movies, tv and books have been doing it forever. I think they chose the story and the couple because it's interesting and compelling. The gay story on ATWT hasn't had any buzz in years. Looking back at the past year, maybe even further back, fans were bored, the writers were bored and the actors were bored, which showed in their lackluster performances. People all over daytime are finally talking about the gay story and characters on this show. It's the only thing that got ATWT any interest in the past year as it slowly died. And, I don't see why Luke needs sympathy. Because he's about to lose the man he cares deeply for, if not loves, yes. However that hasn't happened yet. I think there's joy to be found in his finding a new relationship after his previous one fell apart. My disappointment isn't only with Nuke but the entire show but I find it sad that ATWT has tributes for Nuke and they praise it for being ground breaking but couldn't find the time to actually honor the couple on the screen at the end of the show. Two lovers on the outs due to an blindness caused by an accident. A doctor called in to operate but manipulates circumstances and his position to his own advantage as he falls in love with one of the lovers. Great on paper but too bad there was no bang after the first month or 3. What started out promising ran into a summer of nothing and then 2 -3 weeks of a semi tween story and then Reid dies, just as they are falling for each other? I won't even mention a 22 year old dropout with no ambition being a life coach to a 35 year old Neurosurgeon. Not real imaginative and frankly, not a real good story with all the mistakes and stalls. All three gay characters pretty much end up badly. A better story would have been a full fledged triangle where Luke was torn between Noah and Reid. At least that would have held my interest, even if I didn't like it and even if it ended up with LuRe as an endgame, I could have handled that. There's no denying that Reid was a good character but the storyline stalled in the early summer and has been pretty boring since. I won't even mention the lack of physical affection (touching, hugging, walking hand in hand) that the storyline has yet to really produce in any quantity. It's been fake buzz. Oh, we're going to have this great gay triangle. It never showed up. I chuckle to myself that I've known for months there was no triangle and it's still being reported as one. I won't even begin to talk about how I think the soap press looks like nothing more than swooning fanboys at a Justin Bieber concert fawning over a storyline that failed to even make even the slightest sense at times, just so they could put up a picture of their new crush on their bedroom wall like 12 year old girls. What's it like working with Eric? I can just see the eyes of the reporters sparkling with teen lust when they ask the question. ROFLMAO The bigger picture is that the show decided it was more important to highlight newbies to the show instead of it's already talented rich cast and characters. Where's Tom and Margo's ending storyline or Susan or Maddie (they could bring back everyone but her?) and the list goes on and on of those who were dropped. I think the fans lose big time on this one. I could hardly watch the confrontation between Lucinda and Lily yesterday. The writing was horrible and the acting wasn't much better, IMO. They are both great actors but I wasn't moved in the slightest. I was expecting a much better scene than what I saw. The producers and writers checked out years ago. If the Nuke story became boring, it was ATWT's own fault. Frankly, the entire show became boring, not just the Nuke storyline and that's why the show was canceled. Most of, if not all of the storylines this year have been complete disasters and I think after it's all said and done, ATWT has gone out with a whimper and I think the fans see that or will see that soon. I watched the show for some time in the 80's and 90's when it was great. But these are all my opinions and I'm sure I'll be picked apart bone by bone but it's how I feel. Totally let down (and not just because of the gay storyline). I actually probably won't watch another daytime soap ever. Bored and burned by Kish and now by Nuke. Forget it. US daytime cannot do a gay storyline because they are too afraid of it. Plain and simple. I'll stick to foreign soaps, were they actually end up doing something gay that you can actually see. Actual triangles (AWZ), love scenes and shower scenes (AWZ and VL), and now a wedding (VL). I've actually been brought to tears multiple times over the past weeks with the heartbreak that Deniz is feeling. That's drama. Good writing can bring out the great acting in people. Difficult Diva.. I've written a fanfic already and I might do a 2nd one. Edit: fixed spelling. duh.
