Well, it turns out that Katie & I have the same taste in men. (erm... apart from that police guy... and Andy.... but Andy's stepbrother who then appeared alongside Sir Stephen Fry in Kingdom mmmm .... I digress ) The snippet where Chas, Charity, Jennie & Katie are talking about Cameron is near the start.

But if the prison assault thing turns out to be true, it's perfect. Then Aaron will never again be ABLE to have another lover because he'll be so traumatised from the horror of it all. That sorts that messy problem! Wasn't it Emmerdale plan all along? LoL They probably have it down to a T.

I always wondered why they went with a train crash, as opposed to Jackson being so severely beaten by Mickey (to the point of paralysis, if that's possible ) ... I mean... Mickey was in the same episode. He was like a Chehov's gun that didn't go off. And then, if Mickey HAD beaten up Jackson, then it would have added a much needed element of... will Aaron look for revenge? And then Aaron wouldn't have become a ghost of a character in those intermediary months before the whole endgame that was Jackson's plan for assisted suicide. Although, I suppose ED wanted to go the 'self-blame' route with Aaron. And as an alternative to Jackson's demise, my preferred route would have been that Jackson turned over a new leaf (not paralysis-wise) but as regards books and academia. They had Jackson say that line on the night of the train crash about not being good at math but with his hands. I wish that they could have taken that line to a greater significance than, " well, Jackson will find it terribly difficult to be paralysed since he's used to being a handyman". Perhaps he might have overcome that initial difficulty learned to love books and to apply himself to academia. This newfound love of books could then address an area of Aaron not thoroughly explored (and not in many soap characters either, as much as I've seen anyway), i.e. his lack of academia and any securities which he may have about it. This could have been the wedge (albeit an ordinary one) to drive Aarson apart. And Jackson may have then decided to enroll in some university or something (not talking Ivy League ) and leave the village with Hazel ( in the sunset ... )

Hmmmmm.... something that was pointed out in the episode Watch @ 2:35 to @ 2:45, how it, all of a sudden, goes into focus on Joe just as laurel says "surprisingly turned out to be good boyfriend material". Well, I do remember Joe being attracted to Debbie, and she's having a hard time with her miscarriage... so it's possibly that... rather than the preferred alternative (for me any road ) of a Joe + Aaron pairing... oh well...

If I had only seen the bottom two pictures, I would have thought that it wasn't Kirsty... And now I wonder... will a new contract be drawn up again in a few months for her.... or will Emmerdale let bygones be bygones...? And I'm partly surprised... Her last tweet sounded very final, and I thought that she would never reconsider... And... the second picture.... well, a pity Aarson weren't more like that ... I was hoping that at some point that they could have done a 'leaning on foreheads' pose like in that famous shower scene in 'Midnight Express', instead of a lacklustre kiss And then I thought, perhaps not... would the directors/writers think of something like that? ... I thought no... but then they did it for Rhona and Paddy before Rhona left for her visit to her mum's place... so... the writers/directors had that thought in their head... just not for Aarson...

@ 3:43 ... So the sexual tension between Cameron & Cain was deliberate - to pull the strings of the viewer (i.e. me ) ? Or perhaps they're just kicking that one into touch, just like they did with AA... Thoughts? And... I can't seem to fully get what Cameron said... "I'm not that way. I tend to go for women. (Ask me son to get ... a swab) ? As in a DNA test for paternity, and thus a 'proof' of heterosexuality.... Well, what about 'in vitro' fertilization? Yeah... I'm adding to his character profile that his kids were conceived in vitro.... Don't know how I'm going to explain away Debbie's pregnancy to him though Hmmmm.... okay... erm...perhaps... another part of Jackson's plan was to leave a living heir, and inspired by how Steve's got pregnant, so Jackson selects Debbie, Debbie is drugged by Hazel, and ... erm...I'll just say that she conceives and leave it at that It's a soap, anything... or almost anything can happen

Because non-native english speakers can't understand their accents, and they want to know what they said exactly in english so that they can train their ear to actually make out how native english people speak.(phew... longwinded I am ) It's like me with French movies. I'm not fluent in french and find it easier to read than to understand what native speakers are saying. And often, in many foreign language films, the english translations are only a rough translation... I prefer to know the exact words that they're speaking... so that if it was just a word that I didn't know, I could just look it up... or if it was a word that I already knew, then I could grow accustomed to people saying it the way the actors do in the film.

Hmmmm.... methinks there's going to be a moment in court where Aaron turns around in court and sees that Jackson is not there, in contrast to the last time when he was in court. Also... I was waiting to see when Pearl would make an appearance. She and Jackson had an onscreen rapport which I think they could have used considerably more of in the past six months: a shame, really.

Is it going to be a triple-hander with Hazel, Aaron & Jackson on Tuesday? Or are they including one or two other smaller storylines as well?

Hmmm... again... as soon as Hazel walks out of the room... Adam's there Yeah... I'm just gonna name him as 'cockblocker' from now on (even once this s/l is over ). And then, when cockblocker was getting a bit drunk and argumentative with Aaron, part of me couldn't help thinking.... was that what he was like in McDonalds/Burger King? .... Wait... there's no super-injunction, is there?

Yeah... it would seem like they're taking their gay audience to be 'not too bright'... but isn't there supposed to be that stereotype that gay people are more intelligent on average than straight people? I read a few months ago about some footballer (years ago) who was suspected of being gay because he read A newspaper. So I thought that that idea would be subconsciously held by those involved in a Northern English soap... but then... that would be stereotyping, now, wouldn't it? So, to put it in basic (probably a bit crude) language... Hazel and Adam perform the role of 'cockblocker' Gosh! If I got that trending on twitter the next time it happens! #emmerdale #aarson #hazelandadam #cockblockers (but it probably wont ) Rant over.

On a side note: I quite liked Monday's episode... probably because I think that it fixed Emmerdale's weakness, over the past while, of isolating various characters in their own microcosm of storyline e.g. Barton drug storyline etc... I got quite shocked when I saw Nikhil, Jai, Debbie, Chas, Charity and Jenny.... and Moira and Carl My god! ... They should really do this more often. Corrie and Eastenders do it all the time... although maybe they can't coz they have a smaller cast (I guess)

Hmmm... the way I see it was that, going all the way back to that first meeting between Gavin & Danny about the upcoming gay storyline and seeing whether he was willing to go through with it, Danny had said that he was anxious as to how far he'd have to go with it, and IIRC he also said that Gavin reassured him and his worries. So I can only imagine that Gavin must have said something along the lines of this: "Ok, so up until march/april it will be mostly angst. If there is a good response to the guy we get to play your first bf, then we'll set you up again around mid-June, that will only require two kisses at most, so don't worry. And also we've got plenty of other storylines with Diane/Charlie Maisie/Ryan/Natasha/Faye/Nathan so there will be very little time for Aaron to be close onscreen to his bf. We'll reach another turning point where Aaron's bf will either leave or take on a tetraplegia storyline. This will, of course, depend on whether the actor who will play Aaron's bf wants to leave or take up the tetraplegia storyline. So you won't have to be really intimate from then onwards... and an assisted suicide is on the cards for Aaron's bf... and Aaron won't be interested in anyone sexually for at least another six months... at which point that will be December 2011...so that's 2 and a half years from now... and then you can decide if you'd like to continue with Emmerdale or not..." Part of me wishes, now, that they could have done something like testicular cancer or something instead... mainly because it would have made a scene like this (which I only saw a few weeks ago... since I was only about 4 yrs old when this first aired). Damn! I can picture it in my head, now.... but that's just a dreamworld.

Is there going to be one of those questions and answer thingys any time soon, coz we should definitely put forward a question like that.... "Now that Jackson's gone, will Aaron be seeing anybody at all in the future; if not, then what about casual fleeting 'meetings' with strangers (i.e. although Jackson is gone and Aaron may be grieving, he still would have some sort of sexual needs); if not, are we to presume that he is masturbating to gay porn and will this be suggested in any way ( maybe ott but ); if not, do you think it's realistic that someone who felt like he risked his macho reputation in coming out to the village, and, who just lost his boyfriend, would just go back to being a sexless teenager, with all the downsides of facing the discrimination of homophobes because of coming out, but without any of the benefits of healthy sex-filled relationships (i.e. an extremely massive point of coming out); and if not, then what was the point of the last year and a half (for Aaron's sake anywayz)? I sincerely hope that it wasn't to become the only eunuch in the village. " Gosh... such a long-winded question...
