One thing I"ve come to love and appreciate about this guy from watching Botineras, seeing him interviewed and then model in photos like these is the impression that he gives of being both incredibly fun and playful, willing to take risks, and not giving too much of a damn of what people think of him because he knows exactly who he is and is very comfortable with that. Thinking about it, if he were a Botineras character, he'd be the perfect boyfriend for Flaco! ¡jajajaja Perfect! Thanx for the pics. The second is my favourite ;D * Gosh, I'm enjoying unemployed life (!?!?!?!)

And also, I really really DON'T want to see them get married or even engaged because they are SO not at that point in their relationship- they don't even talk to each other about important things (hello Flaco???! STILL confused as to why you had to talk to Evil!Giselle instead of your lover.... )... so if they get engaged/married it will just feel like hollow lip-service to the new bill for me which, whilst I'm sure would make a great statement would feel untrue to their story... (just my feeling ) Agreed. They have a lot to go yet. NO DEATH THO. BUT I STILL BELIEVE IN FLALO CLAP CLAP CLAP!!!

oooh, now if they were in jail, THAT could make for an interesting spin-off! The drama queen in me still suspects that Lalo could be in line to be murdered close to the end ... Or be a murderer, lier, criminal... I'll kill these writers!!! Nah they won't have balls after all the hassle in this country. They're changing and reshooting their Flalo ideas. LET'S BE OPTIMISTIC. CLAP CLAP CLAP I BELIEVE IN FLALO!!!

flippav2agreed about the decrease in ventilatory requirements during CPR in witnessed cardiac arrest but Laura was drugged and in those circumstances there's antecedent respiratory depression thus some ventilation (mouth-to-mouth or mask-to-mouth) is warranted during the resuscitation...the article corroborates this stance and the ratio nowadays is 30:2 (compressions:ventilations) Don't panic, I do know the 30:2 ratio (it was just nice to learn from the instructor that if it's a vile drunk who's vomited heartily on themselves you don't have to give the 2... and yes, shame on me for only scan-reading the article, good to know about drugged pts ) Ooooh, I learnt a new word! Botineras is fun AND educational! ;D They reminded me of my friend who is a fashion designer- he HATES fake boobs because they're impossible to design around!

My future bro-in-law and his bf exchanged engagement rings last night by the fire in a cottage in Patagonia.
My lil bro Cristian's reaction to the news:
"This is weird... er... where did Fanny (his dog) hide the green bone?" He looks for the bone around, then comes back: "Dad said uncle Ernesto drinks too much." LOL

@ bdc, who let(s) the dogs out !?!? Hi Mason... I've spent an awful week-end. Yesterday one of my dogs, Agatha, a pitubul, underwent an operation. She had a tumor, 15 cm large, near her spleen. She had an internal hemorrhage, she lost 2,5 lt of blood. I'm so sad.... Oh honey I'm so sorry. Been through the same. But mine is finally doing much better. Be brave, sweets. Sending you my heart

@lamanu Thanks for replying so quickly. You are weak at the scary scene, too? In a weird way, I am crazy about "CSI", a TV drama series. I am always very surprised by the scenes using CG, such as autopsies and murders. I am very attracted by the thrilling solution in every episode. BUT I cannnot eat anything for a while after watching these. masonvilleI'm ashamed to say I haven't known about Isabel Martú‹ez de Perón. I have only known about Eva Perón. So when I am going to see this movie, I could not think over why they act the way they do and what social or historical background is behind an event in this movie. BUT I can't wait to release this firm you recommend seeing. Darling you're very welcome Some things I watch easily and even laugh, but some things scare the hell ouf of me. I don't watch CSI, but I like Dexter very much. You just have to close your eyes sometimes and that's ok. Now nah never mind sweetie, the Perón family in Argentina is history for a complete encyclopeadia collection. And the effects and connections are part of our current reality. We've been attached to Peronismo by heavy chains. See the film. I can message you with other film suggestions if you're interested in our history. But then, darling, yes, I think you'll may get really scared Un beso

Ok folkies And talking about burning hearts, that’s not how ACLS (CPR/cardioversion) is done!! First of all, I’ve never seen a person who has had their sternum compressed NOT have a couple of excruciatingly painful broken ribs, so seeing Laura nonchalantly toss and turn in her hospital bed in various states of undress (<---did they run out of clean hospital gowns?) almost gave me a heart attack Second of all,one needs to put gel pads on the pt’s chest to transmit the current during the cardioversion and not fry the recipient’s chest wall<--- the double stick tape they used to keep Laura’s flannel shirt in place might even have worked as a substitute IF it was positioned under the paddles Third of all, there’s a P in CPR for a reason… one has to breathe for the patient during the chest compressions, otherwise they end up with hypoxic brain injury, and although Laura is one of the smartest cops on the show, there’s nothing wrong with keeping as many neurons functional as possible to compensate for the morons that back her up I always find those CPR scenes hilarious. I was thinking the same thing with Laura's shirt in the way and no gel pads. It is surprising that she didn't have burn marks. I think that I saw a facemask or ambubag in one of the scenes but it wasn't close enough to her face to do any good. Guys, let Laura's smooth velvet perfect skin alone LOL ;D

NICOLÁS CABRÉAKA Cristian Flores in Botineras.Nicolás Cabré was Born on February 5th, 1980, in Mataderos, in the west end of Buenos Aires, known for much of his history, as a meeting point between the city and the countryside, a hub for rural commerce, and the main stop for gauchos (residents of the pampas) inside city limits.
Son of a taxi driver and a school assistant, Cabré grew up in Mataderos with his little brother, Duílio. Later, when he bought his first apartment, he went to live only three blocks away from his parents. “I belong here. My friends live here, and I prefer to be near people I love, in the neighborhood where I was Born and grew up.”
Nicolás had promised his dad he’d finish high school, but couldn’t, because he started his career very soon. He wanted to study theater, but ended up never having time to do this.
When he was ten, his mother sent his picture to an advertising agency, and he was picked first for being cute, but right after his first audition, he went straight away to work in the TV show La ola está de fiesta, and since then he’s never stopped working on TV, cinema and theater.
In 1995 he won the ACE Award (Associación de Cronistas de Espetáculos)as Best New Actor for his work in Algo em Común (Something in common) in which he worked along with Ricardo Darín and Ana María Picchio. After this award, he’s career rocketed up.
"Everything you do is showcase for what's coming. I had the luck and honor to work in Algo en Común with my hero Ricardo Darín. I won awards, and people looked at me with different eyes. But If I hadn’t done other jobs before, nobody would have even looked at me. It’s all part of growth, and all the characters I played, I embraced and cherished.”
Cabré loves books, cars, and hates shopping. When he was a teenager he did taekwondo, but now his favourite activity is snowboarding and he’s got eyes for other extreme sports. He doesn’t like to talk about his personal life and many girlfriends. He opened a bar in Buenos Aires called Dubai, in Palermo Viejo, the oldest part of the large Palermo area, which reflects an older Spanish style in architecture, often "recycled" with modern elements, and a must for visitors to our capital.
•Been to the bar, but never seen him :-( Don’t know if it’s still his. EL SUPER CHIQUIEl Super Chiqui, as called by our dearest Chrys, has been a loyal and supportive friend of our beloved Flaco Riveiro. His awesomeness shines. Now I'm inviting our favourite writer, Chrys to drop us some lines of appreciation about our hero, and the reasons that made her call him super, a bit of all the wit and brightness we so much love to read on her recaps. Chique has been described by Marga while talking to Tato, in the teaser for the next episode:
“He’s a real good person, and has always been. He’s “hecho de Buena Madera” (help? He’s solid?) He’s honest, he faces things, the opposite of you and of me. That’s why I think it’s important to have someone like him close to us, because he definitely convert us into better persons…” FUNNY CHIQUI AWESOME CHIQUIANCHIQUE: IT SEEMS OBVIOUSThanx to extremista.com.ar Best friends on TV and films make a lot of room for our imagination, no? That’s why all the way from Dreamland comes Anchique. They love each other, they’re loyal, they share secrets, pains and joys, and they look hyper cute together. In short, they’re a perfect match.

@lamanu masonvilleThanks for paying attention to my quetion. I'm sorry about my slow conversation. In Japan this movie has been restricted to Parental Guidance. So is there any kind of horror scene? I'm weak at the scary movie based on the true story. LOL, darling, me too. But this is not scary, sweetie, you should really see it. It's worth watching, definitely

Great question azuma @ Lamanu, would you mind commenting on what makes the film special and whether Pablo Rago's performance is noteworthy? Some of us only know Pablo Rago as Salgado and are biased in our dislike b/c his character in BOTINERAS is forgettable...and ineffectual...and irritating. Purportedly he's a good actor and should be quite good with a better scripted character. More importantly, the movie is set during the turbulent years of Argentinian military dictatorship and you've commented that your family has experienced losses which still linger as a result, perhaps you can expound on whether the movie helps achieve some closure or is cathartic for people who were traumatized / victimized as a result of the turbulence of the times. I said the film is awesome…I wouldn’t repeat awesome, but very good and worth-watching movie, not a masterpiece as it’s been sold. It’s a very good story which was very well told. We can’t deny either that an Oscar was undoubtedly very important to us and our cine. Technically it was greatly shot, excellent photography and angles although some kinds of takes were imo a bit repetitive. As for the acting, well, Darín is really great, we always love him. He’s like Johnny Depp LOL and Soledad Villamil was awesome. But Rago never convinces me, and this is nothing to do with Salgado, of course. I should say it “worked” and had some good moments. Now a couple of critics here say exactly the opposite, that it was brilliant. I just kept thinking of a bunch of Argentinean actors who’d have nailed the character. As for the historical side, the reconstitution was accurate, and the flashbacks fit (the story goes through two different times) but nothing focused directly on a political context that could determine any of the characters’ action in an imposed way. It just exposes the general from the individual point of view. And Mason, yes, militarism here was really, really cruel, but I was talking about Chile, September 11th , coincidently a Tuesday, in 1973, the bombing of the presidential palace in Santiago, thanx to total support of two of the most hated men in south America, the fuckers Nixon&Kissinger, who gave their total support and provided means to the coup and the dark years that followed it. It was then my uncles died along with other 6.000 in the same day. My grandpa is Chilean. Sorry, hard to express in English. Well, I tried

Through watching "Botineras" I am interesting in ARG more & more. So this summer in Japan it will be released the sensational movie, "El secreto de sus ojos" (aka "The Secret in Their Eyes") that won Oscar & another many wins. Pablo Rago we know him as Salgado in "Botineras" has done. Anyone who went to go to this movie already, would you mind telling me how about this? Yes, darling, the film is awesome. But I didn't understand your question... What do you mean? *Hugs*

Oh, and Poll about Laura/Chiqui resulted in 76% pro their coming back together Awesome. I thought more people liked Salgado, but I guess his lameness is too evident ;D Yes, but radio polls tend to change depending on the time of the day, and the kind of station, as the public changes too.

Hi guys..... question, do they preempt shows in Argentina at the last minute like this often? why was there no show last night?...... Hi , I'm sorry I kinda heard before in la radio Mitre, but tots forgot probs coz of gay marriage voting and celebrating and all. The thing is they're saving episodes because they want the show to end in a certain date, not before, and I think they're making changes and adaptations too, one more reason I have to think they cut off scenes, leaving us up in the air like it's really missing some parts. Who knows they aren't changing eps for post gay marriage approval now? Yeah, I'm tots asking too much Oh, and Poll about Laura/Chiqui resulted in 76% pro their coming back together Chrys, Novoa wasn't that bad, now people say she's good in Ni dios, ni patrón, ni marido. Haven't seen it.
