Outland (Australia)

Spotted a mention of this in the paper, and thought I'd mention it here.

Outland is going to be a six-part comedy series about a group of gay sci-fi geeks, with singer Christine Anu in one of the lead roles. Its going to be produced by the same company that did Summer Heights High, but with a different writer. It will air sometime in 2011 on ABC1.

Im interested in seeing what this will be like. Australia has a poor track record of gays in local television, but this is meant for a primetime slot.

I watched this series and really enjoyed it!! ...I'm sure it helped that I'm a big sci-fi nerd like all the characters ;D. I hope it gets a second season!
