This is quite late notice, but MTV UK has a web-based series called "Being Victor" which revolves around Vinnie Dupe, a dorky college student who runs a gossip blog under his online nom de plume, Victor Sage. Vinnie's gay best friend is Doyle Sinclair, played by Jordan McCurrach. Here's how the official site describes Doyle: Vinnie’s one true male friend is a web of contradictions - an A* pupil masquerading as an ‘everyman’ to remain below the teen radar, and a straight-acting enthusiast of the gay scene.
He’s also a full-time carer for his MS-afflicted father – a burden he bears with a stoic nonchalance.
In spite of hanging around with one of the college’s biggest misfits, Doyle manages to retain an aura of coolness and laid-back charm...
As he tires of the vapidity of college life (and Vinnie’s immaturity), Doyle embarks on a sexual odyssey that takes him further and further away from his friends.
I'm not sure I'd agree with some parts of the summary, but you can decide for yourselves. So far there have been 14 weekly webisodes, which you can watch here (I'm not sure if the link is viewable outside the UK): www.mtv.co.uk/shows/being-victorP.S. Episode 13 explores a serious plotline with Doyle, but is great for ogling Jordan McCurrach in only trunks. Link to Jordan's official site: www.jordanmccurrach.com/SITE/HOME.html

I had a look for you, but unfortunately all I can find on Youtube are episodes 5 and 6 on the STV Player, which I don't think is accessible either from outside the UK. It's really a pity, because it's a fun little show that more people should be able to watch. Sorry I couldn't help on that front (I lack any technical knowledge on how to rip the videos and put them up on Youtube). I did find a short interview with Jordan that should be viewable: www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rAPO6kveSYThe season finale will be broadcast online tomorrow.
