Definately lived up to my expectations and more, it felt like a total love letter to the fans in every way. If Chrolli was to disappear tomorrow, I'd have felt that they'd of had the best send off possible. To me, it made up for so much of the poorly written/frustrating times we all sat through waiting for those moments of absolute gold that capture your attention and take your breath away with delight - this episode was full of them. Nanna and Tikhon.... [glow=gold,2,300]THANK YOU[/glow] for all your efforts to get this done and up in record time!!!! You are truly amazing!! (And Nanna, I'd say you deserve another vacation after spending so many hours getting this done ) A big thank you to Joanna, Mercurymay and Lizkarita too! Group hug!!!

Here's a little something I put together to mark this special moment in time. I hope you like it. Thank you Nanna and Paul for all that you have done and continue to do.

Finally got a chance to watch the second part of the wedding. It was great. The end of the ceremony and wedding reception were wonderful. Happy happy joy. I loved watching the boys dance! I enjoyed every minute of it, especially when they just kinda grabbed each other and hug danced. Especially sweet was Henriette’s words to them. It really was the perfect wedding gift a mother could give her son; unconditional love and acceptance. And then to have the boys drive off together with Olli resting against Christian, both of them leaning into each other as the flashbacks show what they’ve been through and how far they’ve come was the best. The peace, joy and contentment on their faces at the end said it all.

I know I may get stoned to death for saying this, but here it goes: I really liked Rebecca (and Jasmin) during this episode. I think the writers finally figured out her character and are using her as comic-relief rather efficiently.

Beautiful, excellently acted (as usual). Not too overly emotional. Just the right kind of off-the-cuff responses from the 'friends and family' to make the whole ceremony believable. Loved it very much. Thanks to the whole team for the awesome, hard work. Now. Could someone explain all the differences between German and American Weddings? heh. Why, for instance, didn't the Best Man have the Rings? Why wasn't the Best Man up on the dias with the bridal couple? Where were the Gentlemen of Honor? Why weren't they up there too? We know about the Rings already. At the reception, the Bride's er, other Groom's oldest male relative should've made a toast to the couple wishing them a long and happy marriage. Problematic, I guess, since Gregor was absent. But Charlie or Henriette should've, at one point, made the proper toast. Or are we to think this was done behind the scenes? I had to do this at my sister's wedding, darn it!, so I feel someone should've had to do it at Chrolli's ;D Anyone who has the time, please explain Geoff

Ah! Chrolli is finally married. Loved: - Henriette's performance [that actress should stick around VL] - the priest and how he introduced Chrolli before their vows, and also after, with Vienna Teng's music underscoring the background. <3 - Chrolli dancing - I believe T/J practiced for this one - although I loved when they just gave up on it and hug-danced. - driving off into the sunset. - the fact that this wedding was given so much time, effort and attention by the whole VL production team, including the fab actors...........the fact that two MEN were getting married was overshadowed by the fact that it was a beautiful wedding signifying love and commitment between the couple (regardless of gender). Kudos VL! This truly was a gift for the fans. Thank you! joanna - I can't even imagine the number of caps you had to do for this. MercuryMay & lizkarita - for the recaps so I don't piss my pants waiting for Nanna's subbed versions, and finally, Nanna & Paul - for giving the complete, final [and beautiful] package. You all make my Chrolli-intake so effortless. Thank you so much.

I had to do this at my sister's wedding, darn it!, so I feel someone should've had to do it at Chrolli's ;D Anyone who has the time, please explain Geoff I'd love to answer all your questions but I'm not an expert on weddings, neither German nor American ones. What I can tell you is that all you've got at a German wedding are the 'Trauzeugen' /witnesses to marriage. 'Trauzeugen' are no requirement, but normally there are two. Usually best friends or siblings of the bridal couple. There are no strict rules, but usually their job is to help the couple before and on the wedding day and organize the wedding celebration. They don't join the couple in front of the altar. At the 'Standesamt' (civil registry office), where the couple's getting officially married (or, in this case, become 'registered partners'), the 'Trauzeugen' sign the papers along with the bridal couple. We don't have 'Gentleman of honor' or bridesmaids in Germany. Concerning speeches: I've been to weddings where you've had a lot of speeches, I've been to some where there were no speeches at all. So, we're obviously not very strict on these things, but most of the time it's at least the father of the bride who's toasting to the couple. Thank you! MercuryMay & lizkarita - for the recaps so I don't piss my pants waiting for Nanna's subbed versions, LOL. ;D We wouldn't want that... I'm so glad that the recaps really are useful. - - - I haven't read all your comments yet but I just wanted to thank everyone who took the time to wish me a great vacation (which I had) and for saying thank you. It's very much appreciated! Sio, sorry honey, I was nowhere near France but if I'm ever someplace near you I'd definitely make sure to drop by! If your bike ever finds its way to Germany... you know where to show up... And JMM, special thanks to you, you know why. Thanks Liz for writing the recaps last week. Can't thank you enough for the fact that I didn't have to write the recaps for Thursday and Friday, this way I didn't have to take a very close look at all that 'Rebecca might be pregnant' nonsense. Interestingly enough, not once was a possible HIV infection mentioned, even though she obviously thought that a condom broke... After the HIV 'story' we've had lately, I admit to being somewhat annoyed about that. And thanks to Joanna! I don't even know where to begin catching up on all the yummy pictures you posted...

And I was annoyed at that as well, they probably only use the HIV threat when it fits the story. Or maybe Rebecca's equation was: not pregnant=condom didn't break. I agree with MM, I appreciate your saying thanks very much as well!

I know I'm late but i just wanted to say i loved the Wedding, everything was great (but i could've done without the I'll be there cover...but then again i could've missed Olli's face, he seemed so touched by that it seemed very real). How happy and loving everything looked i only wish the same for me one day, specially make amends with my family which is the thing that hurts the most.
cheers
