La pecera de Eva (Eva's fishbowl) is a teen soap, with 20 minutes format, wich is aired from sunday to thrusday on La Siete (telecinco tdt channel). You can see every episode in this link www.telecinco.es/lapeceradeeva/The show is in their third season (more that 100 episodes) and after a failure when it was aired in telecinco, become quite succesful in La Siete. The story is quite simple, a high school pshycologist and their patients. After a couple of seasons, the things are a little complicated because Eva, the main character is obligated to treat the diversify class (the worst of the worst of all school) as punishment for treating his own son (he gave him to adoption when she was a teen). So for once there is Eva, the diversify class and some of their old patients, and on the other hand a new pshycologist and the new patients (and here is where it'll be the gay interest) Some of the actors will be known for people who watched other spanish shows, for example Leo is the actor who plays Roman on Física o Química, i don't think he continue on the show because his arc is over, his character was very similar to Roman, but far more interesting. Other known actor is the guy who play Nacho, who was Mito in Un golpe de suerte, his character is stutterer, and even he was one of the first patients he is still on the show. The show treated gay themes in the past, but no with the main characters. One was about the basketball team captain, the high school team was very good but they started to lose matches, so Eva realize they have a problem (at the begining she thouth it was with the coach), the team captain was gay and out, but the other guys didn't know that and react weirdly when he is with him. The problem was solved quite fast, the guy was out and proud, and the others really don't have a problem with that, but they didn't know how to treat him. When eva makes them know that they need to treat him exactly the same way than before, the problem was solved. The other storyline was about a gipsy guy who was forced to marry a girl. The guy was gay (but not out or proud). At the end the father of the guy (who knew that his son liked guys) decided to cancell the weading. And there was a lesbian storyline, this time a long arc with a main character. But that's a long story, because she only realizes whe is a lesbian almost at the end of her storyline. But right now with the new season it seems they are going to introduce a gay main character, Fabian, who is Hugo's cousin. Hugo is there from the begining of the show and he is a very funny character. Right now Fabian only appeared in a couple of episodes, he is from a small village and travel to madrid to study, but he started on high school with very bad luck (nothing related to his sexuality, in fact we don't know he is gay right now). And it seems one of the girls of his class is interested in him. He didn't start to see the psychologist, but he will do in the future. The problem with the show is that telecinco never let their shows to be posted on youtube, so it'll be difficult to find translations. But for people who understand a little spanish, every episode is posted on the show's web page

Thanks for the information, jjose! BTW, do you know for sure that Fabian is going to turn out gay? And start to see Eva? Is it a done deal, or is it just something you think will happen? Sorry, but I don't wanna get my hopes uf if this never happens Dailymotion or Veho is a solution if someone wants to subtitle the gay themed episodes. It definitely seems interesting for sure. Seems like a very good quality series too.

I read that Hugo's cousin will be gay. Fabian is the new character is Hugo's cousin. Right now his problems has nothing to do with his sexuality. The show is crowed with teens so it'll take some time before his storyline begins to really develop.
In fact i read that the new pshycologist (not Pep or Eva, a new one played by Antonio Muñoz de Mesa) will treat him. The new psychologist is not even in the show yet, so it'll take some time, and right now the focus is not on him, he was only in a couple of episodes (because he is new to the high school)

The new pshychologist arrived to the high school last thrusday, so i think we'll see more of Fabian soon. I'm pretty sure he is gay, he was checking another guy the last time, the curious thing is that he is bullied but at least right now it hasn't anything to do with his sexuality

Which episode was it he cheked out another guy? I want to see it Secondly, I actually like the fact that the writers show him being bullied but NOT because he is gay.. I mean, people bully others for so many reasons, and you don't have to be gay to be bullied. You know what I mean? Ugh, I really hoped that made sense, since I'm really bad at explaining things, lol. Anyways, we should give Anthony over at AfterElton a heads up as soon as we get confirmation that he's gay. I'm sure he would like to follow this storyline in his column.

I was just saying that IF someone wants to upload them with subs they could do it in either of those websites Oh, I totally misunderstood! Sorry. That's ok.. I really hope someone can help us out with this, as I am very interested in seeing where this might go! I would help out, but I can't.. I have no idea how to do the video thing and I also don't speak Spanish, but like I said.. hopefully someone can help us with this soon. Maybe more people will notice this series when the storyline really kicks in. So we'll just have to wait and see and hopefully someone will help us out. And if not posting videos, then at least help us out with the translations. You can always watch the videos on the home page of telecinco, but without subs.. You can watch the storyline on the series' homepage, but like I said.. No subs there. And the storyline hasn't really kicked in yet, but at least go there if you want to see it in anyway. Here is the home page of the series: www.telecinco.es/lapeceradeeva/

The episode he checked the guy was the last one.
And Anthony's colum ends this weeks with the end of ATWT. They decided after the end of ATWT and OLTL gay storylines to not publish any GOOL colums. I think it's a big mistake, but they probably know better

I think it's a big mistake, but they probably know better I noticed that.. lol. Sad the column is ending, it was so great. Still, I do understand the reasons for not continuing with it though.. We could always start a new thread in the forum there. I have a feeling the forum will become a lot more active now when GOOL is gone. It's the only place left to talk about the gay soaps/shows. Thanks about saying which episode it was. It helps a lot And would it be possible for you to give summaries in the future if you have the time? Would be awesome if you could do that ;D

I don't have any problem to summarize. I'm not good at translations, but summarize is not a problem. I think Fabian's storyline will start soon. In la pecera de eva there are a lot of characters, so the storylines develop at a good pace but without rushing it

Sorry, it wasn't the last episode (he didn't appear in the last episode) it was the one before the last. If you don't find it, i will looking for it tomorrow I found it. And yeah, it does look like he's looking directly at his crotch when he came in.. Still, he could just be nervous. I'm still not sure he's gay, but I guess I just have to take your word for it. What did the bullies say? Did they call him gay, did they use that slur? I think I heard that word starting with a "m".

No, the bullying is directed to being a country guy, quite common being now in the big city. But i think all this is just a prop to send him to the new psychologist, and starting the proper storyline

I think the storyline will start tomorrow. I saw a preview with him flirting with a girl (or a girl flirted with him I should say).
Can you please give a short summary of the preview, José?

Yes, the storyline started today (i think it'll be online in minutes). The girl flirt with him, and he went to the psychologist (he was looking for Pep, but Pep is gone so the new one was the one who talk with him). And yes, Fabian is gay, and the psychologist didn't need much time to notice. The summary of the episode:
He is talking with his cousin about soccer when they met the girl, she was very nice to him, and offers him help in case he needed. The bullies pass by him and call him alfalfas (is a kind of cereal or something like that, i don't know the english word) but it was quite innofensive. Then he went to see Pep, but instead Pep he had to talk with the new psychologist (who is HIV positve, we knew that yesterday). Fabian gives him some advice about his plants. And then the conversation was about the small village whe Fabian used to live. He said some things about studying to be ingenier because it's what his father wants, and talk about his soccer team (and he mentions the captain of the team, who is in Germany right now playing soccer). Cesar said to him that he needs to aply the three rules to take of the plants (Fabian talked about it at the begining of the episode) to him. And tell him that he has to respect himself and accept he is homosexual (but Fabian left before he said it). Cesar seems to be quite good at his job, but it wasn't that difficult to realize that there other motivations to send him to another school in the middle of the year apart from the studies, and there were evident that his life on his village wasn't that idilic.
There are other scenes in the bedroom with Hugo sleeping, and he is chatting on internet, but i don't know with who are what are they chatting about

OMG.. The episode was AMAZING! Had no idea what they said, but at least I understood some of what was going on thanks to Jose's summary! The HIV storyline with the gay teacher is REALLY good too. Overall, I think it's such a quality series. I love it Who did Fabian chat with on his computer? I can't wait to see who it is, hopefully it's revealed. But I think it's obvious it's a guy And why wasn't Pep there? Who is the guy he talked to? Is that another teacher? Do the school have two psychologists? Eva and Pep? I'm confused..

No, the teacher is not gay (or at least there's no evidence that he is gay, and by the way he talk i think he is straight)
I think fabian is talking with his friend, the one who is in germany (but i'm speculating)
Pep is gone, after what happens with Jaki he decides to leave, so right now there's two phycologist, Eva (who deal with their old patients, including Fabian's cousin, but right now only Nacho continues on therapy, by the way the actor do a great job playing a stutterer) and Cesar, who is the HIV one, the one who treat Fabian (in fact Fabian is his first patient)

I just assued the teacher was gay since he was HIV positive, but of course straight people can have it too. I just think the teacher came across as gay, lol. But I guess they're perhaps setting him up with Eva? Anyways, it's a good storyline even though it's not gay related. I hope we get to see more of Fabian and the gay storyline, because it seems interesting. And perhaps the friend will come for a visit or something?
