I am giving away ONE copy of Jo's calendar. I have Gaytime's permission to do this, but I am doing it on my own.
The reason is that I bought one of Jo's calendar, and right after Shirley sent it to me, someone special gave me one. So I'm keeping the one I was given as a gift, and sharing my good fortune by giving away the one I bought.
To win, you must be a resident of the US. I am paying the shipping out of my own pocket, so I am going to set this as a restriction. I will draw at random, one name from the people who correctly send a reply through the Gays of Daytime message system with the answer to this question.
What is the name of the character Jo played in the play in 2008?
Correct answers can be forwarded to husky14620 by Wednesday the 20th. On Thursday the 21st, I will put all the user IDs that got it right into a bag and draw one at random. I will message the winner that night for their address, and will post their handle in this thread.
Remember, I am doing this myself, it is not associated or sponsored by anyone officially at GoDT. I am doing this to pay someone else's generosity forward.

Just an update, so far there are three people who have qualified for the drawing...
And as long as the recipient (the shipping) is in the US, I will accept entries from outside the US. I am doing this because one member asked because they too wanted to "pay it forward" to someone. So as long as the shipping address you want the calendar delivered to is in the US, come on and enter.

Okay folks, there must be more who would like to try? And one more qualified for the drawing...

Well, the entries are trickling in... The odds are great right now. But there's still time, until Wednesday night 1/20, to get your name in the hat.
US delivery addresses only.

Alright, I will check my messages one last time in the morning, and then I will draw a name from the correct answers. Sadly, there have only been six entrants so far, and one had to withdraw due to not having a US shipping address available. So hurry up and get those last minute entries in.
I will check before I leave for work, and I will ask one of my co-workers to pull a name out of a bag, so I don't accidentally unduly influence the result. I will message the winner tomorrow evening around 6:30 pm Eastern Standard Time, and post their handle in this thread.
Thanks to all who entered.

No, thank you! You're such a cool dude to donate your time and effort to spread the Jo loving - love. Hopefully the lack of entries means every US fan of Jo's already bought one.

Well, one last post. After six entries, one who withdrew for lack of a US shipping address, one from abroad to be a gift for someone he made register here who lives in the US, three that came from some of our favorite authors, and one from a member who only has 30 posts, even though they've been a member a year.
Since there were so few entries, I put each name on two slips of paper and folded them all up the same way. All ten slips of paper went into a box and were mixed for a couple of minutes by shaking. I then had a co-worker pull out one slip of paper. I did that to improve the randomness of the drawing, and to keep it impartial.
And the winner is.... Und die Sieger ist....
(drumroll please!)
Tammy, in The Bronx, whose entry was submitted by mitsaso!
A big thank you also goes out to Zam, Nitty, LizG12, jhwalker, and stefthepest (who withdrew for the US shipping problem) who were the other entrants. And thank you to the very special person(s) who sent me the one I got as a gift, you know who you are! It gave me the incentive to offer the one I bought in this drawing. I'll be letting you know in person just how much I appreciate it in the very near future!
