I did know that Olivia (Kristina) is leaving the show, it was unavoidable because the spoiler was long before on the VL's main site. all the good actresses and interesting characters seem to move on from VL, first Judith now Olivia, that's sad. It was very spectacular end but so cruel and not only for Olivia but also for Olli. OK he's mad at Olivia right now but he does care about her and eventually going to seek her. And not to know, and always hope that someday.....

Although it is funny in a very special way, how they portrayed Olivia today, I am so worried that she is gone now. Her ending was somehow hilarious, but it makes me sad. Judith is gone now, Olivia too. All the interesting characters around Ollian.
Kristina was such a good actress in my eyes. I will miss her on (in?) the show.
*sighs*

It wasn't just the way it happened, but mainly the very final shot of the episode that bid farewell to Olivia that cracked me up.
THAT POSTER!!! LOLOLOL!!!
It was like the show and writers were saying "f**k off, Olivia, you crazy b*tch"!!!
Which saddens me because I love Olivia, but I still find the whole thing South Park - level funny.

Was it me, or did David and Anna have a little moment? I don't know what it is lately, but he's growing on me.

Well, maybe I've lost my funny bone, but I don't think that ending for Olivia's funny at all. It annoys me no end that they came up with such a stupid ending. Even for a soap opera that scenario is the most ridiculous thing ever. It's almost the last straw for me with this show.

I actually think Kristina's exit is one that leaves room for her to come back in wonderfully loony way -- that's what I look forward to. And I'm not counting Judith out -- I have this feeling that the writers/show wants her to stay. They feature her Katrin's beautiful face on wallpaper. So maybe she will return . . . I will keep hoping. Gosh, seeing Olli and Christian just makes me happy. Thanks Ivan!

Kes, you actually may have a point there about Olivia because I too was thinking that in tomorrow's episode, one of the construction workers may have seen her fall and scramble to dig her out. I specifically heard a clang when her head hit that rusted pipe so she may only be unconscious, but I'm sure she has to have some broken bones because that hole was pretty deep! As for Judith, I consider her role to be like Constantin's in that she just may drop in from time to time to check in on Chrolli and the gang. Maybe some of Olli's qualities are rubbing off on me and causing me to be so optimistic, but I don't really think that was the last we've seen of Judith.

I loved the moment where Olli asks "When?" and Olivia answered when she is a star ;D But as much as I like Christian laughing like that it felt a little awkward because she stole Olli a lot money and he wasn't so relaxed about it. At first I thought Christian thinks the whole fight between Olivia and Olli is amusing. (But at least they were talking at the end and it felt deeper with Christian talking about his father).
I'll miss her. She was great and her dream (especially Sebastian in it) showed again that she wanted success and believed she did the right thing.

Add me to the choir who did not find Olivia's exit funny. She was my one of my favorite characters on the show and hoped that they would leave it open for a return someday. Unless she crawls out or something, I don't see how that's possible. Not very happy right now.

Thanks, Ivan, Nanna and Tihkon! When I first read the spoiler, I just knew Olli was going to say that Olivia was dead to him, just before she kicked the bucket. Tschüss, Olivia.

Her death wasn't funny.
But the irony the writers heaped into this episode as she burned the bridges to the last of the people who would give her the time of day, and to be distracted by a picture of herself being defaced being the ultimate reason for her misfortune/death.

I still think it's a stupid and unfunny way to be killed off. I wouldn't mind if she was so distracted that she walk onto upcoming traffic, but falling into a hole and being buried? Not Cool IMO. I love that character so much .

It was an extremely dark and disturbing exit for Olivia Schneider; it was not funny in the least.
Although, there wasn't a shot of her body actually being buried underneath all that rubble, so in soapland...
I'll miss Kristina Doerfer enormously.

She was always "me, me, bloody me" so it's typical and ironic that she died being distracted by herself on a billboard.

Oops, didn't notice there was an episode thread . Here's the epi with English Subs.
Bye Bye Olivia! I loved the actress and was vastly entertained by the character.
Amen.
And, sorry, but I found Olivia's (and Kristina's) exit to be very funny in an extremely dark way.

I've always maintained that Olivia, when compared to antagonists, in say American soaps, was tame in comparison: she never physically harmed or killed anyone, unlike Tanya. So, I found her character to be adorable, albeit selfish, in that sense. What I've also noticed is that no matter how bad she was there was always this comedic undercurrent present in all her antics, since they were so usually over the top. So, I'm guessing that's the same tone the writers were going for in her final exit. It's in that vein I found her "untimely death" so funny--because it was so over the top, just like Olivia. I honestly believe had she died in some "normal" fashion, that would have been anti-climactic, and ultimately a slap in the face to the larger than life character that was Olivia.
Just think back to when Steve Irwin died. Everyone just assumed one day he'd be eaten by a crocodile or something. However, when they found out that a stingray was the cause of his death, they were like WTF?! It just didn't fit.

Yes, I'm sure the writers were going for that kind of thing, Tihkon and Scarpien.I wouldn't be surprised if the actors involved agree with you, too. It just didn't work for me.

Well...I read the spoilers so I knew this was coming. But when I first read the spoilers I admit I couldn't stop laughing because it seemed so comical. And the way she died today is the way I had pictured she would...struting her stuff in some six inch high shoes, but instead it was boots, while pulling her red designer suitcase.
You notice how the writers made sure that sympathy for her exit would be limited by making sure she acted repulsive to those around her. They made sure the things she said to friends and family was the lowest of insults. And Olli...the only person who never really gave up hope on her was the one she hurt the most. Not only did she steal the money from him, but basically insulted him when she more or less called his boyfriend a failure for being in a relationship with another man.
But the way see died...narsistic and selfish as she watched her picture being defaced was very fitting, albeit extremely cruel.
But you have to really worry for Olli. You could see he still really cared about Olivia. It's his family, something he had to remind Christian off. And although she has done him bad, Olli never gave up hope that his cousin would redeem herself some day. Even down to her last exit, Olli still hoped. And the sad thing is...nobody may ever find out about Olivia's death. I mean, she was completely covered by the cement. But if she is ever discovered...Olli would surely feel so much guilt and most likely blame himself.
But here is a question I was wondering...That cement hole was huge, so why wasn't some signs or cones up blocking the gaping hole? And with a cement hole so huge along with the enormous dump truck, I don't thing that pedestrians would be able to walk so close to the site. And since it was such a busy street...didn't any of the public see her fall? There was a lot of people walking close by.
Anyway...what a tragic, comical, sad and ironic exit for this actress.
