Zam: I concur The boys have been spending too much time at the hospital. No sickness next summer please VL gods. And they might supply Chirissie with boxers at the hospital who knows?

He's the one who attended to Sebastian and Jens in the kidnapping story. He pops up from time to time at the hospital when Dr. Leonard has another story. He's like Anna from NL (but with dialogue).

Ahhh! I need a new name for the doc in my fanfiction story, then. Hilariously, and unbeknownst to me, I chose one that they already have on the show. Oy.
More on topic: I loved how Olli was so distraught and focused on Christian that he could barely be bothered to reply to Gregor in the hallway.

I used him as "the doctor" in The Price of Forbidden Love. ETA: By the way, Judith was looking very pretty today and yesterday. I think he's a better doctor than Leonard anyway. He actually works at the hospital.

What's funny is that Christian and Olli had like three fights and they already get lines like "No wonder, we had so many disagreements" (other couples fight in every episode over more serious things)But I liked the line anyway because it showed that Christian having to let go of his sport could mean more to them. Their love is really "on the ground" in a good way when they talk about the toothpaste someone isn't closing and that working together wasn't the best for their relationship.
Olli having a free day for the training and then being in the hospital the whole night shows that the concern about his love for Christian and the NL doesn't have to be there I think.

First...thank you so much Ivan for the screeen caps, and welcome back!!
This looks like a heartbreaking episode. I am waiting on pins and needles for nanna's translations. I will not break down and go to Ivan's Youtube site. I need to understand every word that is spoken. Wow... this episode looks terrific.

Looks like I got back from the pool just in time! Danke for the subs!
I suppose it's good to hear the doctor say, "For now" he'll have to give up competitive sports. But it's probably the end of Christian's boxing career on the show.
Will he be able to complete school as a sports student?

Nanna, Tihkon as usual thanks, Hey did anyone notice the clip from outside the hopsital the next day was the same one they used when Olli was in hospital? The man kneeling down stealing the flowers (well whatever he was doing). It was the one after Christian went off to see Kia just before Olli asked in that amazing voice "what's taking Chrisitian so long" ok it's official I've watched these episodes WAY too many times!

BTW is this still work of the old head writer or already the new one? Because the scenes we are getting after the big pause are excellent, one can really relate to them and it's as if it almost wasn't a soap. Much as I love Chroust's work, this seems deeper.

Andre might be the best person to PM about that. He seems to be the go-to guy for that info. I remember a recent convo (it may have been on the spoiler thread) that said they usually write scripts 10-13 weeks ahead of filming. The convo I vaguely recall might place the new head writer any time between now and August.
Maybe someone who's seen the closing credits might know?

On the Behind the Scenes thread, Andre posted last Friday saying that the old head writer was given credit through at least this Friday, i.e. these episodes. Still, there does seem a definitive change, which makes me wonder if the new head writer isn't actually behind the scenes to a large degree. I imagine there would be some overlap between official change-over in order for storylines to line up. But what do I know?

This is some scary stuff. The fall alone could have killed Christian.
Excellent acting as usual from Jo and Thore. And lots of nakedness I didn't expect!

Slightly off topic in this thread, but it was asked in here. Today's episode was still credited for the old head writer, but I do think that there is a change-over time, because last month has been really different compared to previous six months. Style is more provocative, stories are faster, some stories have been wrapped up or sent to backburner (Stella/Charlie, LySeb) and new began (Olivia's revenge, Ollian). I must admit that for the first time in a year even Lahnsteins are interesting to watch in this Maria story, which is already an achievement. ;D Although Brandners (and very often Luise/Gregor too) are still boring.

I have a feeling all the specifics about Christian's condition will be revealed in later episodes. I think we are supposed to be surprised by his illness just like he and Olli are.
I also don't think you have to look sick to be sick. Sometime folks look and feel perfectly healthy until they don't or something happens.
It is possible that Thore just wanted to lose some weight and it might not have anything to do with "Christian"
Great clip. Thanks Nanna, IvanIV and Tihkon2

What an outstanding episode, albeit sad and shocking.
This is some serious sh't that Christian is going to have to deal with. Life threatening for sure. It's Like he's lost his future career with this one single diagnoses. And what Christian has had to endure these past few weeks...from him and Olli arguing, to getting sacked by Olli and now this...it's just terrible. There is just so much one person can take. The stress is going to be enormous.
Olli's panic throughout this whole episode was so sad to watch. And then when that doctor came in and gave them the diagnoses...the look on both Christian's and Olli's faces told the story.
Just some terrific acting by Jo and Thore. Sometimes I forget I'm watching a SOAP, since over here in the US SOAPS are signature for pretty mediocre to bad acting skills. But when it comes to Jo and Thore, they are pretty amazing.
Again...pins and needles waiting for tomorrows episode.
Oh...some jackass has flagged yesterday's episode on YouTube. I wish there was a way we could counteract this feature. This is just ludicrous
