Is it common in German Bars/Cafes to carry around a money pouch like the one Olli rifles through after the big group of people leave?

I feel duty bound to comment on the first ep thread in EONS! Christian shouldn't take the "Angestellten" thing too serious. He didn't react well when he was under stress, too. Totally agree with you- whilst the argument was utterly believable and you felt sorry for both sides (YAY for the writers!) I did think "oooh, it's like watching a reverse copy of the fight before the match"- y'know the whole "you should have known I needed you" row... As Tikhon and others have pointed out, the consistency is good with the character traits. I'll admit, I was baffled when Olli blew up over Ibiza, but now we've seen that happen a couple more times (to a lesser extent) I believe it more- I wonder if this was in his character the first time round? Comments from anyone who watched Tom and Olli? And yup, Sunshine, I'll join you in the girly melting pool ;D

In christian's defense...
Olli was a bad employer by reacting emotionally to his employee. Plain and simple.
Olli may be steamed and upset about his boyfriend, but as a boss, he needs to leave the emotion out of it. Forget the fact Christian didn't do what Olli gave him the time off to do. Lesson to the employer, don't be so permissive with giving your staff the time off.
What Olli should have done before Miriam walked out the door was call upstairs to tell his employee to stay near the phone in case he was needed downstairs.
Ok... now that I'm done giving real-world advice to soap opera characters, OH MY GOD! Can you believe Olli called Christian an employee. He was such a bad boyfriend! And OH MY GOD! Can you believe Christian didn't pick up the phone when Olli needed him? His stupid brother needs to get a damn life and take care of his own problems!
I posted this on the spoiler discussion thread... IVAN... Don't read this! I'm excited to see Olli use sex as an apology in Thursday's ep. He may think it's just about the date. Christian may see that differently. Will Christian tell Olli why he's personally insulted, or will he just let it pass so it builds into this huge chip on his shoulder at a later date? Inquiring minds want to know.

Zam, your real world advice to soap opera characters is dead on.
At the same time, in the real world, it is nearly impossible for people to be completely professional with someone they have more than a working relationship with, so I found his behavior believable, if not incredibly flattering to him.
As someone who works in my family's business, I see this kind of thing all of the time. The personal and professional get really entangled and it is impossible to pull them apart. Which, heh, was sort of what I was trying to say by saying that Christian is not just an employee, and not just Olli's lover, but a partner in Olli's dreams, and so trying to put him in the position of just an employee, even for the purpose of the fight itself is, while typical of Olli's fighting style, not very productive.
So, I suppose that the real life advice I'd give to these soap opera characters would be for Olli to recognize and admit that Christian is not just an employee and never could be, and for Christian to accept that he's going to get dumped on a lot more than any other employee ever would, and even more than Gregor, because Olli relies on him with regard to the No Limits in ways that he relies on no one else -- not even his supposed business partner, Gregor. It's the nature of their set up and relationship.
In my opionion, the the only other healthy alternative to both of them learning to accept these things would be Christian leaving the job so that he can just be Olli's lover and not his employee-with-big-perks-and-major-pitfalls.

God-damn these boys are GOOD!! The writing, pace & flow of this epi was just superb Both characters were true to form in thier actions & reactions. A little spat brought about by nothing other than ordinary coincidental everyday mishaps ( Christian not answering the phone - Olli inadvertantly leaving himself understaffed just as the bar got unusually busy) The employee remark was a savage one but I love it because it is sooo Olli. I did think that Olli could've got Olivia to run upstairs & get Christian but by the same token it is totally understandable that it never occurred to him because he was under pressure. The interaction between C&O at the beginning of the clip just seems so natural it is a complete joy to watch.

Hi everybody!
Did u all notice that Gregor ...err unfit to be NoLimit owner since Dec 2008??? It pity that Christian can't buy NoLimit from Gregor and become co-owner with Olli. In the other hand - Olli also don't have money remember? but Charlie lend him money. Maybe Gregor should do the same for Christian. Christian deserve to be NoLimit co-owner with Olli - he bust his ass (sorry for the remark) helping Olli remodelling and running NoLimit (no thanks to Gregor in that matter) even though he need to to study and training, unlike Olli & Gregor. This for sure will make Christian a little bit secure and comfortable as Olli boyfriend and co-worker.
It understand able Olli tend to get ballastic when Christian let him down - because Christian the only one he can rely on (though no excuse for his remark). This is not the only time Olli mad when he can't rely on Christian (remember Christian remarks on 1st April 2009?).
Or... I think Christian should talk to Gregor about his responsiblity to NoLimit like he did on 19.03.2009. Yes, Gregor upset but remember what Christian said on 28.04.2008 "...should I just stand by and watch him destroy himself and and everyone else, too?"

Ooo, such a good episode. The writing is supurb here, and right on character for both of them. The set-up for the fight is quite realistic, without making either of them out to be a simple bad guy. They both have reasons to be upset, and they've both done things that would upset the other, given the situation. I can so easily see the point-of-view of both of them, and empathize with them. And thanks of for your post Rhiannonhero. I think you pretty much hit it just right. Great way to get back into current episodes.
