I hate what they're doing to Kieron's character. Kieron pressuring JP is so out of character that it annoyed me. I didn't see that scene yesterday as Kieron pressuring John Paul. Over the past week, Kieron has said that he doesn't want to pressure John Paul, he asked if he wanted to end the engagement or wait to get married, several different times. Each time John Paul lied to him. He has also repeatedly asked John Paul if he really loves him. Kieron has known that something is wrong, but he really didn't know what or what to do. The "ultimatium" was Kieron's way of forcing John Paul to address the situation. He knew John Paul wouldn't agree to the quickie wedding, but he wanted him to tell him something that would let him know that they are still a couple. I'll agee that I don't like Kieron playing mind games. Kieron is someone who has always been direct with John Paul, and has agressively gone after him to communicate, so he would have forced this conversation last week, when John Paul's childish behavior first started. But, I guess a mixture of this forced storyline, and Kieron's fear of losing John Paul, kept him from doing that.

This is just all too sad. Damn these spoilers. They seriously ruined and literally and figuratively spoiled everything!

Kieron asking Niall not to hurt John Paul was just heartbreaking, especially considering what JP was doing at the time. Kieron is without a doubt the nicest person who has ever been in HO. Jake H. and Barry S. were just incredible. Hopefully both will be recognized for their work.

What exactly was Kieron saying to Niall up until he keeled over? My heart broke when Kieron said, "Not my John Paul," but that was pretty much the only thing I understood.
Jake was so good.
But the way the episode was structured -- switching back and forth Niall and Kieron and Craig and John Paul -- it's asking way too much of a viewer invested in any of the characters. I like my angst, but this was like pulling my guts out with my bare hands.
I feel so awful right now :-(

That's a very vivid description of how someone feels about what just happened on the episode. Very vivid, interesting and relatable. I'm just dissapointed in John-Paul, but that's just me.
RIP Kieron Hobbs.

Maybe because of the accent or because from being drugged by Niall. But I have to watch it though. Nice performance by Barry Sloane. I hate what his character did to Kieron. A tragic scene. Well, this maybe the end for JP/Kieron now. Kieron, bless his soul. Niall, d_ _ n his soul! To JP and Craig, Saying HAPPILY EVER AFTER is too early yet.

I just watched this entire storyline yesterday and it broke my heart. Yes, there were some things that were messed up about it, whatever, overall, though, i was emotionally invested and it hasn't quite left me yet.
One thing that after reading through this thread, that really bothered me throughout the storyline, that wasn't really addressed in the thread, is how unfair it was for Kieron to constantly remind JP of all he's given up for him. That can't be your argument every time there is a fight. How can anyone ever fight that? It reminds me of SATC when Charlotte and her future hubby break up b/c he says he doesn't wanna hear "I gave up Christ for you!" over every little thing. Actually, this one point was the only thing that didn't really sit well with me.
Overall, it was just beautiful. And, I am not going to lie, like it better than JPC, but I can see most of the arguments on both sides as valid.

I don't remember Kieron using the "I've given up everything for you" line in an arguement before the past two weeks, and like everything else that took place over this very short time span, it was out of place and out of character. In fact, it has always been John Paul who has brought up all that Kieron has sacrificed, not Kieron. I think this was just another plot convenience by the writers to force this story. I seriously hope they address some of these problems if not this month then in October, but I highly doubt they will.

Hmm... I feel like I remember a few times before the most recent episodes, but seeing as I've watched them all in a lump over 24 hours, I could easily be confused.

This story line meant so much to me. I watched it on YouTube (like most folks outside the UK, I suppose) and saw so much "right" about it. I was never a "McDean" fan, so I was happy to see John Paul with someone who clearly loved him so much, didn't play mind games with him, and would have been so supportive and loving.
I was so angry when TPTB killed off Kieron - there were so many beautiful scenes throughout the story line, but one line, as Kieron lay dying, just did me in: "Go to the police. Tell them you won't hurt them any more . . . promise me . . . not my John Paul". I sobbed uncontrollably the first time I saw it and still get tears in my eyes just thinking about that moment.
Silly to get so involved in a TV show, but I think I fell in love with Kieron, myself.

I agree.
My favorite boyfriend for JP is still Spike. I just thought they fit so well.
But I loved what the love story of JP and Kieron brought out in Kieron's character and I wanted him to have a relationship with Myra because it was so sweet how he wanted to help her.
I believed JP loved Kieron but I didn't think he was ready for that kind of commitment even before he started getting cold fee about the wedding.
Once the wedding was called off and Kieron was able to get a job and settle down, he would have been an asset to The Village long after JP was gone off with Craig.
I really loved Kieron and Kris friendship and it would have been nice to have gay man in town who was young and still finding himself but not all tortured or secretive .
Jake had such chemistry with all the other actors. So sad to see him AND Kieron go.
