Thanks for that clip, husky. Mulligans looks good. If anyone has seen it, could they PM me to let me know how it ends? And thanks, also, Softfurbear for the link to Dante's Cove. I have heard of that, but not much good, I'm afraid. What's not good? What you heard? Or the link?Dante's is all about camp and silliness. It is Queer as Folk meets Dark Shadows. It's about eye candy and scenery. It is a fun, silly romp through a preposterous plot. So it's not for everyone. But if you can laugh at some of the plot, you can really have a lot of fun watching it. And it is filled with impossible love triangles... I've only read what's been written in this forum here. I wouldn't mind watching it. Apparently the first 2 series are better than the third? It doesn't look like it's available here in Australia (surprise surprise ) so I'll look around to see if I can find some clips on the net. I'm reluctant to buy stuff from o/seas at the moment unless I know that I'll like it, because the Aussie dollar is very weak and the postage is so expensive.

Hey guys! I am sooooo sorry! I know I'm uber late handing my report in. I've just been flooded with work, not to mention helping a new friend from Germany move into Vancouver... so yeah. Hee hee hee hee hee! I get sooo giggly when I remember the whole whistler trip. Okay... here goes. Remember when I was so sad because I thought I wasn't gonna see them anymore? Welll... I went to this event "Singles & Sex Food" just to learn how to prepare aphrodisiacs and maybe meet some singles. I walked into the penthouse unit with the wonderful cook, sat down for some great wine by Barefoot, and just chatted with the crew. Then the cook said that we had a special guest... the actor was gonna be there. I was like "Uhm... which actor?" and she was like "Joe Weil" My jaw just dropped!!! Ahahhaha! I totally did not expect it at all! Apparently he loves to cook so that's why he was coming. Of course I didn't bring my camera, but the cook was kind enough to lend me hers. When Jo came in, he kept looking at me. I just smiled. Then Todd (super nice, patient, and very accommodating) introduced him - that he's an actor from Germany from the soap Forbidden Love... then we had to introduce ourselves... when it came to me (I was sitting beside the very handsome AfterElton Senior Editor, Michael Jensen), I said my name is Cj. and then Jo was like "uhm... you weren't the one who sent me that plush doll from Vancouver, are you?" I nodded. (it's sad that he didn't get the Canadian Rockies book though) He stood up right away and approached me and gave me a tight hug! He thought it was amazing. He recognized me from one of the photos I sent him (the one with the mini concert). I told him I had no idea that he was gonna be there AT ALL. He said it was probably meant to be. *aside* (I love you, God). We had tons of really good food and great wine. After that, we went to meet Thore and the wonderful Shirley. I did not know how to get a hold of her once I got there, so it was fortunate that Jo and I met during the dinner. When we started walking towards this party we were going to, Jo went to Thore right away and asked if he knew me in German. After that, Thore walked with me and asked me the same thing. I spoke to them in German after that and they were surprised that I could speak it. I told them I stared learning German right after seeing VL. I asked Jo if it was okay for me to be tagging along with them cause I didn't want to be too clingy or impose myself on them. He was like of course it's okay. Don't worry about it. I'm very happy to finally meet you and spend time with you. <very touching> Jo and Thore are very, very nice. The next night, I bumped into Shirley and spent some time with her. She's an amazing woman, guys. Take my word for it. uberly nice, sooo sweet. She rocks! We headed to the Westin for the Grand Finale of Mr. Gay World (oh, gosh. so many good looking guys!) Gave Jo another Vancouver mascot, Quatchi, and Thore another cap. They were very happy about it. Finally, we headed to the snowball party where I had to stay outside cause the party was like $90 and is veeeery hard to produce for a student without work anymore. Got a hug from Jo and Thore for the last time... and headed back to my hotel. It was the best weekend I've ever had in 2009. I'm never gonna forget it. Jo and Thore are uber nice and super sweet. It's not just the characters they play that make us love them, but also their personality, sincerity, and kindness that project through their characters and real life. ------That felt like I just wrote a conclusion for a paper. AHAHHAHA! I'll find a site to upload the pictures I've taken... It's not a lot though cause I sooo forgot to bring my camera the first night so please forgive me. Shirley has a set of the photos I took.

Wow, that sounds like an amazing weekend for you, divinewinds, if you met Jo without even expecting him there and he recognized you! How much can change in a few days when you still thought you had missed them. I'm so happy for you that it worked out so well! I bet they were super impressed that you could speak German to them! I really liked reading your report, thank you!!

divinewinds and sozment... I'm so very happy for both of you. The pictures look amazing (CJ; I'm going to FB you in a bit - I do so much better on facebook LOL) Anyway... I'm just so happy that everything worked out ant that you were able to have so much fun. Don't ever let anyone tell you different (this is mostly for CJ) dreams do come true and God (or the universe or whatever you subscribe to) does work in the weirdest and most amazing ways. Personally, I love surprises when you worry and worry if things will happen the way you hope, and then they happen better than you ever dreamed. YAY!

Hey guys! I am sooooo sorry! I know I'm uber late handing my report in. I've just been flooded with work, not to mention helping a new friend from Germany move into Vancouver... so yeah. You're forgiven. But just barely, as I am still incredibly jealous of you. I don't think I saw that on the list of activities. How lucky that you found it. Then the cook said that we had a special guest... the actor was gonna be there. I was like "Uhm... which actor?" and she was like "Joe Weil" My jaw just dropped!!! After that, we went to meet Thore and the wonderful Shirley. I did not know how to get a hold of her once I got there, so it was fortunate that Jo and I met during the dinner. Husky, hang in there..hopefully one day there will be the chance to do the same thing for you. They are so sweet, I'm sure you would be treated the exact same way. And CJ..you doll...you were wonderful! When Thore said to me "they said that your friend is with them"..I had NO idea who he was referring to. So I was very surprised and a HAPPY surprise when it was you!!!!! So great that you found that sex and single party..haha..the name alone just makes me laugh. LOL!

divinewinds...What a dream come true for you. Something you will never forget. And to meet the lovely Jo the way you did was just perfect. Being a huge Jo Weil fan myself, I may have just collapsed in a heap if he came up to me the way he did you.
Thanks again to both you and Shirley for sharing your wonderful experience with the boys.
And Shirley...your pictures of Jo and Thore are just great!!
Question: Did you spot any other Ollian fans there?

Thank you for your report, Divinewinds. I'm thrilled about the way you got to meet Jo. That really is a fan's dream come true, isn't it? You must've been pinching yourself to see if you were awake! And been floating on Cloud 9 for the rest of the time. I'm really looking forward to seeing your photos.

Hey Lugia! Thank you so much. I'm glad you enjoyed reading my report. Thanks so much for the advice, riboflavinb2. It means a lot. I'm really happy with the turn of events. I was soooo scared on how to present myself to Jo and Thore. At least that worked out quite well, too. Hey husky14620! Shirley is right, Hopefully you'll get to meet them too. One day! Who knows, it could be the time when you least expect it to be. I would loooove to capture your reaction then. Hi Shirley! Ahihihihihi! Meeting you and spending time with you was really fantastic. I enjoyed yours and Todd's company a lot. Ahahhaha! The singles and sex food was fantastic. That REALLY got my attention. I was the youngest person in that event. Hee hee hee hee! Although at least I got to meet Jo, Thore, you, Todd, and of course, Michael. Hee hee hee hee! He's very cute. Hi brownsugar! It certainly was. It shall be embedded in my memory forever. Hopefully I don't get amnesia or something. That would be just terrible! Ahahaha! You wouldn't believe it! People had to tell me to breathe! AHAHAHHA! We actually encountered some Ollian Fans... well... I met one with Jo and Thore from Germany. Her name was Miriam. Very nice girl. Thanks so much for the feedback, brownsugar! Hey jsg03jd Thanks for reading! Yeah, I hope they could also focus on North America. That would be awesome! AHAHAHAH! We just need an uberly rich producer and a great writer! AHAHAHA! You're very welcome, aussie54! Thanks for the support too. Hee hee hee hee! It wasn't until the last day til I was like "was that all real? Did all those just happen?" Ahahah! I'll upload the link when I get to upload the photos. It's not a lot so please bear with me.

Shirley and CJ, I hope you're right and I get to meet them. But I doubt they'll be coming back to North America anytime soon. Their contracts at VL will eventually come up, and they'll be off to bigger and better things. The gay community will forget all about them, we all know how fickle we gay guys are... ;D ;D ;D But even though I am really unbelievably jealous of both of you, I am happy for you both that you got to go. And I really appreciate that you have both shared the experience with all of us here on the VL board. To you both I say, with all my heart, Danke Schön! Vielen herzlichen Dank! And thanks to dict.cc for the extra thank yous.

Bitte shön, husky14620! Sprechst du Deutsch?? Erste, sich ängstige war ich ob besagen mich zu viel. Aber sie hatte gegeben einer lange Geschichte, so I decided to share the wonderful experience I had. PLUS I didn't want to be ungrateful to everyone here in the board. Everyone's so nice. So I guess a little detail wouldn't hurt. Jo und Thore, wenn gesagt ich zu viel, dann es tut mir Leid. Bitte enttäuschen nicht ihr.

Ok, since it's been posted on another thread, I'll spill about Thore and his trip to the hospital. I didn't say anything in my earlier report because I wasn't sure they wanted it talked about. But since Jo apparently told it in an interview, I guess it's ok. ;D When I saw Jo Thursday night, Thore was not with him. His first words were Thore was in the hospital in Vancouver. Apparently, on the flight over he started having really bad stomach pains and was they had to lay him down in first class. When they got to Vancouver they took him immediately to the hospital where he stayed to get checked out while Jo came on to Whistler. They did think he may have appendicitis but he did not. So during the Fashion show when they were introduced for the first time and the clip was being shown....you got it...Jo was on the stage alone. LOL Poor thing... LOL But Thore arrived by bus around midnight, went straight to bed and was perfectly fine the next morning when we saw him (see the pictures with he, Jo and Charlie). He was good the rest of the trip. So, all was ok.

So glad he's okay! I've been there and done that and there's nothing fun about any of it so I can totally feel his pain (no pun intended...well okay maybe a little one). Thanks for filling us in Shirley. He did look like he was feeling great the next day.

That sounds really like the worst timing to get something like that on a flight (even worse if it would have been appendicitis) Good that everything was fine later.

First you we so afraid of something. But someone had something a large something. I'm going to guess that the someone was Shirley, as she did have a few long posts of her stories. Then something for which either you, or Jo and Thore were sorry for. Please... not you (me)?. Okay, oft to babel fish, google translate, and www.dict.cc to find out how well I didn't. No as bad as I thought, but not as good as I'd like. Need more study and practice.

You're welcome. Thore said the scariest part was not being able to "land". Poor thing. I would have been scared to death! But he was laughing, jumping around in the snow (actually threw a snowball and hit Jo right in the face haha) playing with flags up on top of the mountain the next morning..so trust me. He was perfectly fine. ;D
