Hello everyone...anyone I tell you, I have absolutely fallen in love with these 2 comedians Jeffrey Self and Cole Escola.Perhaps you all already know them, but if not, They have placed on YouTube several video shorts talking about all manner of everyday issues and they are so hilarious to me!! Here's a video discussing California's Prop 8 and they got some help from the lovely and talented Bernadette Peters Sorry Bernadette--I love Patti Lupone--I'm sorry she took your part, but I'm glad you will Vote No on Prop 8

Outrageous!![/color] Prop 8 in California has passed. In 2006 Virginia also passed a Marriage Amendment. I can never understand how men and women who are in love and want to get married, who do and want to raise children, and who pay taxes are denied in State after State this right! Please do not become discouraged even if you are disheartened...when Obama leaves the Senate, guess how many Black Senators he will leave behind...Zero....there have only ever been 5....there are only 16 Female Senators and 3 openly Gay members of Congress. We will change these numbers one day. We must continue to VOTE in EveryElection. We can make a difference in our Local and State governments and then in the near future our Congressional Seats of Power---and soon we will have Women, and all Ethnicities running and winning the Election for President for the United States!! In this wonderful country, we only have 2 Black Govenors and 9 female Govenors...to see a real change..we have got to be the ones who make it happen. Last night something to me happened almost as important as Obama winning...Virginia...my lovely State finally heard the voices of the Progressives, Independents and Liberals...after 40 years the majority of Virginian's votes elected a Democrat as President of the USA. Incredibly beautiful to see our State painted Blue. We can Never allow disappointment to turn into Apathy. Those thousands of dollars that were raised by every-day people/Celebrities/Major Corporations will now be put to good use and the battle can be waged fairly in the Courts. The fight for Equality is never truly won unfortunately, but we must believe that it is never truly lost either. I personally, am Black and Hetero, but I want my Gay and Lesbian friends to listen to this song and KNOW that it is true!!! Ciao!!
