except by Yankees who think they know how we speak. heh heh. Well, after all these are non-Bavarian people trying to sound like Bavarians (and making fun of them to boot), so I think Nanna and Tihkon's take on it is to the point, eh?

Thank you as always for the clip, the caps and the subs.
A real funny episode and I love how they interact together with other people even when the episode is not totally about them.

Thanks VL Team for your great job, as usual! I'm probably against the stream, but I've found this episode a bit boring. Apart from Olli making funny jokes with the rabbit puppet and the mask, and Chris's "Hi Rebecca, bye Rebecca"! and his hilarious faces when in the bathroom, I didn't enjoy it too much. I'm sorry about Lars leaving the show too, and that's all.

I'm with aldebaran. It was just an okay episode. But any eppy that has Christian and Olli is welcomed.
And bye to Lars and his really beautiful hair. And too bad we didn't get to see more of his (manscaped) body in the Ollian story. (Now that would have been interesting!)
Lydia's hair is so not flattering. I wonder if the actress wanted the change or if the show made her do it. Maybe Lydia will turn to women after this nonsense with Sebastian :-)

There definitely is something that says "lesbian pro golfer" about Lydia's current look. You think? ;D Actually I don't mind it at all - think it's waaaay better than the " Sandra Dee" look she had going on. Ivan - thanks so much for those screencaps - the sequence showing Christian's facial expressions in the bathroom were funny as hell - so much that I can't even pick my favourite one yet. I can't really say I'll miss Lars - for me it's a case of "who he?" as far as the Ollian story goes - and he did nothing for me fanciable-wise - and that floppy hair of his - urgghhhI really liked this episode because for once we got to see them interacting with other cast members & each other without mentioning the bloody homophobia storyline - I'm just soooooo over it Any story which allows them to be a couple where thier sexuality is NOT an issue is better by far (IMO) Again, thanks to Nanna, Tihkon (loving the new avatar) and Ivan

I'm with Aldebaran, too. Getting to see Olli and Christian is almost always welcome, but this one was a bit boring except for those parts Aldebaran mentioned. For me, it had to do with the Lydia story. It's over wrought. With Sheepie, I definitely think it's a good thing to see them interacting with one another and with other characters when their sexuality isn't the issue, but when it's over the Lydia story, at least at the moment, kind of bores me. On the other hand, it's nice to see that Olli's bandage is gone, even if we know he's still in danger. I also appreciated what the flat mates and Rebecca were trying to do for Lydia and trying to say to her. It just didn't do much for me but as a vehicle for a bit of Olli and a bunch of Christian faces. The scenes with Lars and Charlie were a bit more interesting and nice. Maybe because I like those two and because of Olli's antics with the funny bunny and the mask.

Thanks VL team for the clip, caps and subs! I had a good laugh at Christians facial expressions. ;D Hilarious as always. It was my favorite part of this episode. Not fond of Lydia's new hair at all. Yuk. Makes her look older. (In a bad way.)

I think the homophobia storyline is over soon and then it's gonna be more about normal relationship issues. I like the boxing story because they aren't arguing too hurtful with each other. The story is also a helpful build-up for a stronger relationship in the future. I was always afraid Christian could be aggressive sometime when they argue but not after the whole thing that happened now. It definitely helped him to care more about his boyfriend.

Why did Christian 'introduce' himself to Lydia? Was it just a joke or is related to another VL's storyline?

I believe it was a joke and a poke at Lydia's gradual descent into insanity... so it's both a joke and related to (I think) Lydia's continuing depression over finding out that Sebastian could be the father of her future sibling thanks to his doing Lydia's mother. Yuck.

I think it was a joke because he found it a bit rude that neither Rebecca nor Lydia would properly say "hello!" to them. One of the things I like about both guys is that they're polite to other people. They say hello, please and thank you unlike for example Olivia. Every time I have to translate her "Give me a coffee", I cringe because she's awfully rude.

I swear that Christian looks like he can just barely refrain from exploding around Lydia these days. First he had to live through the Judith love triangle and now he's got Lydia slowly going insane. You can just see how he's struggling to hold onto his patience. I thought that I was the only one who had this impression Sorry to see Lars go...Olli's make over was way better especially after he removed Lydia's bando!! ;D

Why did Christian 'introduce' himself to Lydia? Was it just a joke or is related to another VL's storyline? I though it was a joke. Maybe it was a bit directed at thinking that Lydia was rude in just starting to talk and not saying "Hi" first, but I also thought it was linked to being in a bar and having someone just walk up and say something strange. Kind of like it was a very odd pick-up line that Lydia was delivering. Also, how long might it have been since Christian had seen Lydia. She hasn't been living in the apartment for a while, so maybe it was also a "I haven't seen you in a while" kind of joke. Speaking of jokes, how did people take Olli's line about being a styling consultant on board his ship? Do you think he was serious or just feeding a line so that he could take on the task at hand with Lydia? I think he was giving himself an excuse.

Well, you could easily interpret Christian's "...wtf mate?" look followed by hurried agreement to mean that Olli was totally pulling this out of his ass. Equally, as I said over on the general thread, 5 years on a cruise ship is a long time and there's every chance that he has played amatuer stylist more than once and Christian just doesn't know about it.

Nice episode - IMO you can see they had fun filming it and though I love some drama it's always nice to have "lighter" episodes as well. I think Christian was imitating german comedian Rüdiger Hoffmann who invariably starts his programme with the words "Hallo erstmal". Maybe authors felt inspired by the presence of Bernhard Hoecker who is another german comedian and was guest-starring as wedding-planner in the "Tanja-Ansgar-Nathalie" storyline. They've done similar little things like that lately. What's wrong with Lydia's new hairstyle I wonder (well, people's tastes differ, I suppose). It's such a cliché of course, but it's not uncommon for a woman to have a new hair-do when she is love-sick .
