Psionycx, where have you been gushing about Matthew? I can't get enough of him at the moment! He didn't appear to be amongst the other Gold Medal Aussie Olympians being welcomed home this morning. I sat through almost two hours of broadcasting, but didn't see him once. Gay boxer on VL. Gay diver in the real world. Gotta love this world of our's! I wonder about Mitcham not being at the homecoming. Maybe they were hiding him given his past statements critical of Rudd?

Well, American legal dramas aren't particularly realistic even in America, let alone in a country with a different judicial system (Roman law vs. case law).
I once saw a documentary on drug related cases in Austria and the lawyer of one of the accused was interviewed and said "Yeah, you know that thing you know from tv? The whole "Innocent till proven guilty" thing? Yeah, we don't really have that here. And the bit about the "impartial judge"? Yeah, we don't really have that here either." Kinda really drove home "Ooops, it really isn't the same system".
Another difference (at least with an eye to Austria) also came out with the guy who locked up his family. As a quirk of the Austrian system you can't add up crimes. If you commit 20 crimes, you can get the maximimum sentence only once. If you steal 20 times, you still get the maximum sentence only once. If you steal, bribe, kidnap, assault, the judge picks the crime out of these where the maximum setence is the longest and you can get the maximum of that. But you can't add up the sentences from all the crimes, so no "4 times life" or "298 years in prison" and the like over here. Hence the family kidnapper can only get 15 years because that is the maximum sentence on kidnapping and kidnapping is the largest charge against him. The fact that he kidnapped several people and kidnapped them for many years only affects that he does indeed get the maximum sentence rather than getting less.

Didn't have a very good weekend, but after watching today's clip it just put one enormous smile on my face. What a terrific episode!! And there was some really good acting.
First...I have to mention all the cuteness going on between Olli and Christian throughout this episode...from the greeting kiss...to the intimacy on the couch at NoLimits...to the the lift and swing of Olli from Christian...and then the playfulness of the couch scene which was sweet beyond words.
Now, regarding Axel...the guy is obviously thick as a brick to be threatening Olli and Christian in front of a crowded NoLimits. I would also love to know how the charges against him got dropped since there just had to have been some type of DNA evidence regarding fingerprints on doors, glasses and counter tops. Maybe some skin or clothing sediment on Olli's hands, assuming he put up some type of a fight.
And why does Axel so badly want to get at Olli?! What the hell is going on with his hatred and want to beat Olli to near death? or maybe he really is attraction to Olli and it's his way of dealing with this attraction...to destroy it!!
Anyway...this was one of the best episodes so far. I can't wait to see what happens next.
Thank you Nanna and Ivan for the superb translations. I love how you translated the muffled sound of Olli underneath the pillow.

Yes, Lolaruns....she did call him to help with another Keg....but surely he saw Axel enter and walk right over to his brother and Olli....I'd say, a detour was in order....Axel could have been armed...he could have been intending harm.....motion to Miriam to hit the panic button or call the police...don't wait for Axel to do or say anything .....come up behind Axel...grab his arms...Miriam, throw Christian the Seltzer water or the Whipped Cream, Christian, Spray....alot....Gregor use those muscles and drag Axel to the door...and Olli take one of those size 10 feet --covered in Converse.....and attach to Axel's behind....and PUSH!!!!If there is ever [/i] a time to say Good Riddance to bad rubbish!!! ..now is it!

I'll have to do some investigating.

Thank you so much! That was adorable!
I have an itsy bitsy question tho... I don't understand the line: "It's probably your ascendants fault."
Can anyone please explain?? Thx in advance.

From what I saw he was turning his back just as Axel walked in. IMO, they wouldn't have bothered with the keg line in the first place if it hadn't been meant to signify just that.
In the middle of a room filled with people? Even if Axel were that stupid (and apparently he wasn't after all he waited till everybody was gone the first time he attacked Olli), there would be ample people to stop him.
Ascendant is part of your star sign. Olli is saying that Christian is acting the way he acts because of under what sign he was born under.

Another scene I loved was at the end when Axel went to grab at Olli and Christian jumped in and said "You leave my boyfriend alone." I just love Christian being protective
There is nothing hotter than Christian straddled across Olli on that couch. I think if they had gone any further with that scene my heart would have given out. ;D
This episode really was great!!

Now then, can I ask how this is plausible? Olli was physically injured by Axel. How can there be a "lack of evidence"?! Also, at least in the U.S., there's a general legal principle about being allowed to face one's accusers. is this not the case in Germany? because it's odd that Olli didn't go to the pre-trial. If the German system is at all like the Danish (which is quite plausible, seeing as how we're neighbouring countries and the Danish system is in many ways inspired by the German), then the principle about facing one's accusers works differently - what happens is that the state officially takes over on behalf of the victim, so technically Olli wouldn't even be the accuser, he'd only be a witness. And he'd only be brought as a witness if there was an actual trial. That's why Lars goes to the preliminary hearing and Olli isn't required to go. In fact he may not be allowed to go, since he's a witness and won't be allowed to overhear any of the proceedings before he's given his statement before the court. As for evidence, the hospital report is fully admissable as evidence, so it doesn't matter much that the police wasn't called to witness Olli getting a bandaid put on. I'm guessing that the "lack of evidence" is a lack of evidence that it was actually Axel who attacked Olli - on that count they only have Olli's statement, and apparently that's not enough. That's the only part of the whole thing that I find a bit unrealistic, but I can handwave it as being necessary for the drama.

Could also be lack of evidence that Olli didn't start the fight or something like that.

There is not much I can add to everyone elses comments about how much I enjoyed and was infuriated by this episode! But I am glad that I was reminded of Christian's probation which at least goes someway to explaining why he hadn't gone out and beaten Axel to a pulp after Olli was attacked. And on a random note (because I am not sure where else to put it but wanted to share it!) there was a guy called Olly Mann being interviewed on TV today and when I squeed with excitement over this name crossover my friends thought I was insane

I totally agree with everyone on the absolute adorableness of the couch/pillow scene. I also liked how affectionate the couple are in No Limits, but without being OTT sickening PDA. slow clap even if it was deserved. sheepie, ivan, and aldebaran your picture captions were hilarious. ;D And how cute was Constantine all shy at their door delivering the good news. Makes up for his questionable "I'm shocked" acting in the earlier scene.
