He did? Looks like I really need to watch those episodes again.
For me the clothing choices for Coco as well as various things they put in her mouth (like chastizing Lars for buying industrialized eggs) always suggested to me that it was supposed to be scream free thinking. Kinda the kind of girl who might end up in Peta and climbing over trees to save animals. Who votes green and goes to anti war rallies. Who hangs out with Christian on the roof and looks at the stars with him and who always knows exactly where to find him when he runs off into the woods again.
Also as a way to contrast her to "posh" girl Nico, to have her be the less maintainence, sweet and fun girl, while Nico was a bit more the girl with a bit of self-respect attitude (not that Nico was ever in any shape or form evil, she just knew what she wanted).
My sense of Coco was more that she might have an issue with the aggression factor of male interaction and that's why stuff like working out or doing really exhaustive types of sports were probably closed to her. I'm not sure if that is typically female. For me it always seemed like it would probably be a personal philosophy thing. And her being open about people being gay also really fits with this character philosophy they drew of her.

I put my reply over on the General Discussion thread since I think we've drifted off-topic here. Thanks!
