The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. Surely we must have something to say about the bad outfits and hairdos of the various characters (heck Luke's many hairstyles alone could rule this topic). So, anybody want to list their best of or worst ofs (picture evidence is encouraged). Personally I was struck when I realized that there is a 4 on Olli's shirt:  Does VL have some sort of discount on shirts with weird symbols on one shoulder? It feels like the boys have a ton of those. I also want to announce my lack of love for Gregor's current haircut. I prefer it short. |

Christian mostly wears pret-a-porter H&M.  I got this:  at my local H&M for $5. So much for the big budget VL allegedly has ;D ;D Although I do like that the characters dress 'income appropriate'. :-) |

Here's my COMPLETELY SUBJECTIVE personal list:
1. VERBOTENE LIEBE
Consistenly well dressed people with very few faux-pas. More than any other show makes me go: I KINDA WANT THIS SHIRT!
2. HOLLYOAKS
All over the place, just like the characters. Really good costume design department.
3. AS THE WORLD TURNS
Non- offensive, boring stuff. A metaphor for the show almost. Exception: Luke's hair, which has the ability to change styles DURING A SCENE!
4. ALLES WAS ZAEHLT
WHO THE HELL DRESSES THESE PEOPLE? Poor Julia Augustin (Va) seems to be hit the worst, but Dennis (Ro), Igor (De) and Ulrike (Annette) also each have their individual crosses to bear... Sam Eisenstein (Marian) should consider himself lucky that his character is defined as pretty much wearing the exact same outfit every day. :-)

But somehow I couldn't find any of the fun onesided print shirts (that have different kind of prints usually over one shoulder).
They must have a second store for that.

I have contacted them over that one Olli shirt I'm obsessed with and they said they're not to blame and it's actually not there style! So everyone who live in Cologne: Find out where else they shop :-)! |

Can we talk about the highlights? I am just not feeling them on Thore. Outside of that Constantin's multiple collar flips and lately Olivia's one woman attempt to re-incarnate DEE-LITE, usually I don't have a problem with the clothes on Verbotene Liebe.  Also, the clothes that Roman, Deniz and Vanessa wear on Alles Was Zaehlt are terrible.  Deniz used to dress better but the last few months, I am not sure if the bad clothes were comic relief for the audience during the suckfest that was DeVa or what. As for ATWT, generally the fashion isn't bad but Luke's hair... that's been a struggle for a long, long while. I will say that the past 2-3 weeks it has been okay. John Paul has some horrible sweatshirts on Hollyoaks. And Craig's cardigans were more misses than hits. Kieron, well he's either in his priest garb or undressed usually so no complaints on the latter. ;D |

Never mind - Andreas Jancke looks still good wearing it (not quite sure if this belongs into the fashion thread  - didn't know where else to put it ...) |

While for obvious reasons they didn't have much variety in the character's wardrobe, I did have one complaint. For the longest time (months!) they kept putting him in this sweatery-thing. I absolutely hated it. It was so much more unflattering than the picture shows. It was just shapeless and bulky and ugh.  I actually grew to love Craig's cardigans. In a so bad they're good way. In their very absurdity they became sublime. |

I don't know. I kinda think that the crazy outfits of AWZ just represent the sort of funky colorful world they are supposed to inhabit. Of course there have been some missteps that are just criminal. (Deniz sweater as they emerge from the virus-chamber).
As for Luke's hair, I just don't get it. Why don't they just accept that dark hair looks ass on him? Why bother messing with something good? He looks so much better in lighter hair.

I admit that I think the lighter hair color is more flattering but what bugs me is usually how greasy it looks or poor styling with how TPTB sweep his bangs.  |

To reiterate here what I've been saying on the VL threads - I kinda like Thore's highlights. They're new and different, and because I have the attention span of a 3-year-old that's a positive for me. I'd make him either shave the poor facial hair he has right now or grow a proper beard, but his actual hair is just fine and dandy. Also? I adored Christian's shirt in the "anatomy lesson" episode, but I haven't seen it in H&M here in Ireland. Boo-urns  |

I agree with the scarves needing to go, not because I am against them but they just seem so random and most times do not fit with the rest of the outfit. Lola, your last 3 photos aren't shoing up for me.  |

Y'all know I love looking at Gregor, but I agree about the sideburns and they look even worse when his hair is wet. I was actually distracted from his shirtless hotness in the preview by those sideburnas and that ain't right!! BAN THE SCARVES!! |
