American college football coach Ted Lasso heads to London to manage AFC Richmond, a struggling English Premier League football team. Currently on Season 3.
One of the football players who's been there since Season 1 was revealed to be gay last episode (3x03). From the looks of it, there will be some focus on that. The actor was also promoted to the main cast this season.

An interview with one of the producers mentioned that they nearly told the story in season 2, but decided to wait. You get some hints in season 2 (at one point Colin compares the name of their new sponsor [Bantr] to Grindr).

I heard rumors that this was supposed to be the last season, so it's nice that they have this storyline but it could be fairly short.

Not them pulling wlw with one of their main characters. Don't get me wrong, I love this character and the story, since we already had clues on this from first seasons. But the fact that they're developing that relationship very differently compared to mlm is so... sigh 💀 We lost again.

She is (assuming) likely to end up with a man at the end (Roy), and a number of queer female fans have pointed out their dislike of this trope, which shows the limitations of any show for representation. If it were up to me, Jamie Tartt would be bi as well, but they would likely say Colin (and possibly Trent Crimm the reporter) are "enough."

But the fact that they're developing that relationship very differently compared to mlm is so... sigh 💀 We lost again. I kinda saw it coming from the first moment Jack appeared, but yeah, I didn't think they would just GO like that. In the end, it comes down to sexism: "girl-on-girl" is hot and brings views, but two men get a quick kiss cause this is a "manly men show about football" (which honestly it isn't, lol) She is (assuming) likely to end up with a man at the end (Roy), and a number of queer female fans have pointed out their dislike of this trope, which shows the limitations of any show for representation. If it were up to me, Jamie Tartt would be bi as well, but they would likely say Colin (and possibly Trent Crimm the reporter) are "enough." I agree, I think (and I'm hoping) she and Roy will get back together. I liked them as a couple. As long as they don't make the "choosing the man" thing about gender I'll be fine. They're on thin thin ice. I also get bi vibes from Jamie Tartt but I know they won't go there. And yeah, I assumed Trent's married to that man we saw him with once. It's sad this is the "enough" we get.

Curiously there were manly shows like Oz or Spartacus that weren't shy on their male to male affection.
I think the subject will be more and more common because homosexuality in male sports is a theme that is not going to dissapear and probably will be more prominent in the following years
