High Heat (Donde Hubo Fuego) is mexican series on netflix about firefighters.
There's a gay storyline in the series betwen Gerardo (Daniel Gama) and Fabio (Nahuel Escobar).

In a show with lots and LOTS of sex, the gay sex is strictly forbidden. WTF is this shit?! I'm so sick of the double standard. EVERYONE was allowed to have sex EXCEPT the gays! We had a ton of lesbian sex scenes, yet the gay sex scenes were banned. WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!
Anyways, now that I got that off my chest... this show was ok... too many tropes and bad acting for my taste though. The gays got a cute and romantic storyline, but that's it. It pissed me off how they weren't showed in the same light as the rest. I'm glad Polo played straight, and did it convincingly (of course, I didn't expect anything else, but you know what the homophobes say.... that gays can't play straight, he proved them wrong). Lots of gratious nudity too, mostly male nudity. That's why the gay sex ban didn't make any sense. With an openly gay actor in the cast (who looked amazing btw!) and with all the guys' asses on full display, why would they not give the gays at least a sex scene? it just pisses me off even more. And why do Mexican shows ALWAYS show women in the worst light? No woman would EVER behave the way Mayte behaved. It was a horrible depiction. Most women would be happy their boyfriend came out. Maybe sad and hurt and upset at first, sure. But Mayte took it way too far.
Anyways... I'd give this show 4/10. The gay storyline was cute and romantic, but they didn't get to have sex like literally every other character who got SEVERAL sex scenes, including the lesbians. The main plot bored the hell out of me. Who Killed Sara did the gay telenovela part MUCH better, well... at least the first season. That plot was much more interesting too. Too bad it went downhill second season. Ok... so maybe BOTH shows failed. Who Killed Sara wasn't as romantic or cute, but the gays actually got to have sex, unlike this show where the gays got to have a love life.... well... except the sex part.
Let me know when there's a Latin American show where the gays actually get to kiss and have sex like the rest, THEN I'll watch.

I liked the show so far, I am half way through it.
Yes it is a shame double standard, the gays are not equal, like the three some, bisxeuell, lesbians... Especially when you compare it, to the sexual content on the show.
But what I really liked it is the classical Telenovela Style, for each Story, the over dramatication, the music, which goes with the mood of the scene, to underline the storys. And the typical Telenovela complete change, nothing is what you first, would thought, but also something is exactly how it is expected. But the surprising story turns, are mostly good. What I don't like is the to much time switches to much now and past in the mix, that it gets annoying sometimes.
But also not only the gays I think are a bit old school but also mostly the women. One only wear stomach free spaghetti top all the time, is more a tool, instead of a independent woman. Or prettyness is everything or an other is a Nymphomaniac. A independent or intelligent woman with a powerful Job, mostly not to see.
But of course a lot of good looking shirtless men, is also good matter to watch it, if the show is entertaining enough.
