So this show (the title is Spanish for Paradise) briefly caught my eye last year but I didn't explore it further. It's a fantasy series described as Spain's answer to Stranger Things. Unfortunately, it hasn't the longevity of the latter; the second season which premieres today will also be its last. But it does surpass Stranger Things (which, after 4 seasons, still refuses to pull the trigger on whether Will is gay) by leaps and bounds in its gay representation. Two of the main cast members are gay boys who fall in love with each other - Álvaro (played by Cristian López) and Zeta (played by Hector Gozalbo). They are the two guys on the left. http://instagram.com/p/CNlL_bBJQr- The gist of their story together in season 1 has been clipped by the Youtube channel Aristemo España - unfortunately, there are no subtitles in English (or any other language). In any case, the show is pretty unintelligible without non-Zevaro clips. If anyone can speak Spanish and understand why the boys kissing sets off literal sparks, I'd love to know. Finally, here's the season 2 trailer - brief kiss by the boys. (Of course, lesbians get a bed scene...)

I watched season 1 a while back. The gay romance is 'bully to lover' kind of plot and the ending takes the power of love too literally. XD

Does it also take place in the past or in modern times?
