Hi all, This is your catch-all place for anything and everything BL that you may wish to chat about. The general idea is that it would be a thread to post any pictures, news or info concerning BL Actors or the BL industry in general that wouldn't be a fit anywhere else on the board. Sometimes interesting titbits pop up that aren't specific enough to go into a particular thread, or maybe there are some actor pics or a TikTok that you'd like to post but there's not currently a series thread featuring the actor to attach it to. It's really just a repository for putting anything you think is worthwhile, entertaining or generally relevant to the BL world that doesn't have anywhere else to go. Welcome are pictures, videos, tweets, gifs, memes, TikToks, links to relevant articles or reviews, etc. General chit-chat is also welcome as are scantily clad photos of Max & Tul or Tay & New or Bright & Win or... well, you get the idea. The only provisos are for you to please remember the general rules of the site. No trailers for shows that would normally warrant a thread of their own, and if your contribution is about a specific series then please check to make sure that series doesn't already have a thread. Posts may get moved if they are deemed to be a better fit elsewhere.

Ok, I'll start this off... It's probably old news to most folks now but Singto quit GMMTV in April when his contract ran out and decided to go freelance. He set up his own YT channel with the promise of at least two videos every month. He has also got a new project lined up with TV Thunder. He'll be starring alongside Tae Darvid who played Forth in the original 2 Moons and will be playing an event organizer who gets romantically involved with a painter. It will be distributed by POPS TV.

Toy Thanapat, one of the less prominent DoMunDi boys has finally got a new series in which he is due to play one of the leads. The novel it will be based on is called "Moon Ing Doi" and the story is about a dentist who meets a boy who reminds him of a previous lover and he becomes infatuated all over again.

Ohm Thitiwat and Fluke Natouch will be having a new series based on the teaser they released during their fan meeting a few months ago as KimSun.

I'm not really sure why I'm linking to this video as I started to suffer from second-hand embarrassment while it was on. Still, the reason behind it is a good one and it was sort-of fun looking out for my favourites and wondering where in the pecking order they would appear.

Last year, on page 3 of the 'My Day' thread I mentioned that an actor from Myanmar called Han Linn Naing aka HuGo had signed up with Oxin Films to appear in the then intended 'My Day 2' and also a series of his own called 'Rainbow Prince'. Rainbow Prince was apparently going to be Oxin's 'big' release of this year and was intended to be a vehicle that would make HuGo a big presence on the Filipino BL scene. Unfortunately it looks like current challenging circumstances have curtailed those ambitions. This announcement has been released by Oxin Films: "Due to the pandemic and the current situation in Myanmar, Hugo Naing will be stepping away from the Rainbow Prince Series. This decision was made collectively with Hugo and Oxin Films. He is still part of Oxin Films and will be part of future projects. We would like to apologize to all of his fans and supporters who were anticipating his role for this series. We ask you all to keep Hugo and Myanmar in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you so much for all the love and support."

Benjamin Braiser has now officially signed up with the STMD Thailand Talent Agency and joins fellow '2 Moons 2' actor Dome Woranart who also recently signed with them. Hopefully they'll be able to move on with their careers properly now that they're finally shot of Motive Village. Here's the agency's new photo book with a few of the other familiar faces they've now become part of the team with.
Did I just spot most of the cast from 'Brothers the series' in there?

Ok, I realise this is not strictly BL as it's a reality show but I'm going to give it a mention anyway. 'Bromance' is a Thai show that is basically a gay(ish) version of 'Love Island'. It's available on the POPS platform for free (though it won't work if you have an ad-blocker switched on) and has English subs. I'm not really sure if the format is identical to the old MTV show of the same name. Here's a teaser with a couple of recognisable guests! and if you're interested, here's the links to the first three episodes complete with English subs: Episode 1 / Episode 2 / Episode 3

Well, this rumour does the rounds at least once per year and sure enough it's back again. According to the BL grapevine (and it's been reported in quite a few places now) there is set to be a remake of 'Addicted'. The rights have supposedly been secured from the author and it will be produced by YOUKU. Personally, I'll believe it when I see it. For a start YOUKU are a Chinese company headquartered in Beijing who don't usually stray very far from sanctioned output. They already censor material from (as they call it) Taiwan-China and as far as I know they have never shown a true BL story before. If they really do remake this, expect Bai Luo Yin and Gu Hai to become nothing more than a pair of bickering step-brothers, or if they do choose to keep some sexual element in there it will be to show the Chinese people what unhappy, perverted lives those gay people have. The other problem is that 'Addicted' is now generally deemed to be a very toxic story. In the second book Gu Hai rapes Bai Luo Yin in front of his old girlfriend to show his 'ownership' of him. Later on Bai Luo Yin does something similar back to Gu Hai and in their twisted game of one-upmanship also takes great pleasure in telling Gu Hai's father what he did. These days I can't see that going down well by even the most fervent BL fan. I reckon the whole story would be too offensive for the majority of folk now and there would be an inevitable backlash.

So, over on the Thai show 'Reuan Rom Ngiw' someone forgot to tell Yoon and Inntouch this wasn't actually a BL series: For anyone interested this series can be found on CH8's YT channel but it comes without English subs. These pics are from Ep17 but these two have been doing the Master and Servant thing for a little while now.

It's set to be a revisionist version of the old MGM film 'The Student Prince' only this time he won't go off to military academy incognito, he just flees from his duties and ends up falling in love with a commoner. And yes, like its predecessor it's going to be a musical!

So, this new version of Addicted seems to be gaining some traction. According to the author, the project has now been given approval by the Chinese censorship department - but only after some changes were made. First off, it is no longer called 'Heroin Addicted'. The name has been changed to "Innocent Playmates" (which probably tells us all we need to know!). Secondly, the names of the main couple have also been changed! Bai Luo Yin (Yin Zi) has become Su Yu, and Gu Hai has become Wu Bi. Also, a new female character has been introduced in the form of Yin Zi's sister after his father's second marriage and Auntie Chou also has a daughter in this version. Yin Zi's ex (who showed up right at the end of the original) is still down in the list of characters, but Gu Hai's girlfriend is not. Shooting supposedly starts this month.

Ok, here's a little challenge. These BL boys are from two different series. Can you name them and their respective show? One of these guys should be easily identified as he a current flavour of the month. The other is definitely more challenging but if you know your BL history you'll solve the mystery.

I guess we don't have a thread for Kinou Nani Tabeta, and I am feeling to lazy to build one. kinounaniresource and isaksbestpillow tumblr's had a post that the movie's trailer had been released (I believe a follow up to the season of episodes).
Isaksbestpillow had a translation of the dialog in the trailer:
I believe the trailer is from the film company's youtube channel - but cannot really tell.

These are all from the same Pride photo shoot they did. There are about twenty plus different pics altogether. The nail ones, the flag ones, Tul with rainbow eye makeup and Pride written across his face. The two of them wearing different Pride T shirts and lying down together. Let's just say when those guys want to make a statement, they know how to do it right!

After the finale episodes today of 'Wheel of Love - Weekend to Remember' and 'Diving into Love'. Kristian Kabigting, the President and CEO at AsterisK Entertainment has announced that the company will be making no more BL series.
'A Kiss To Remember' the sequel to 'My Extraordinary' which was going to centre around the burgeoning romance of Ken's younger brother Lawrence and his friend Jayvee was their first announced BL sequel last year after the success of My Extraordinary but it kept getting kicked into the long grass and has now been officially cancelled.
'Wheel of Love', which was designed as an ongoing anthology series has also been cancelled along with 'Boys Next Door' and 'Meet Me In Bangkok'. It is not certain what will happen to 'Meet My Angel 2' and the already advertised merman romance 'The Tale Of Tail' as these were co-productions with Jodi Garcia's Acquired Films, so maybe they still have a future if Acquired decide to go it alone or try to get another partner.
Presumably Asterisk Entertainment will need to get themselves a new company banner as they currently incorporate the posters of all the above shows in their current one along with the slogan "Asterisk, Home Of Pinoy BL Stories"
In the end their association with the BL genre lasted all of six months.
