I have found a free package called DVD Flick that allows you to burn any video files from your computer to DVDs that will play on a regular DVD player. It does all the recoding/encoding and stuff for you too (I don't know how, but I am assured it does). I don't know if anyone would be interested in using it, but I have always wanted to be able to burn proper DVDs. You also have the option of using a subtitled video or the software also allows you to add your own subtitles too. Here is a guide to the package and also a link to download DVD Flick: lifehacker.com/software/dvds/hack....-dvd-232322.phpI haven't actually used it yet though, so will let you know how good it is or isn't when I have used it later tonight.

I use ConvertXtoDVD. I d/l movies as avi or mpg files from the internet and usually burn 2 movies on 1 disc, the quality is still quite good.
