New Netflix limited series. October 16th
The story of Alguien tiene que morir begins when a young man, after being called by his parents, must return from Mexico to his home to meet his fiancée, but the people are surprised when he returns accompanied by Lazaro, a mysterious ballet dancer.
Everything happens in 1950's Spain, in a conservative and traditional society where appearances and family ties play a key role.

It takes place in 1950s, so I'm a bit worried about the ending

Having watched it, meh... it was ok.
SPOILERS:
I would have liked to see more gay scenes. Tbh the gay storyline didn't get that much screen time. It also wasn't a romance storyline, which is what I had wished for. I would have liked to see a gay relationship, yet that never happened. I was kinda underwhelmed tbh. Some of the few scenes we did get were good though. The one scene in the car where he explained his first gay experience... it was so good. Also, that scene with the other gay guy in prison was moving. I'm glad it wasn't too depressing, considering the Franco era. The gay storyline could have been a lot worse. It could have been better too though. I would have liked to see more of a gay romance/relationship. Also, again we end up with another dead gay character. I'm sick of the "kill your gays" trope.

I watched it on Netflix. I thought it would be worse. During the last few minutes, though, I thought it would end better. Obviously I didn't like Alonso dying, but he wasn't a good person, so I accepted it. It was a consistent ending, and at least Gabino and his mother survived.

I was disappointed by the show, especially by the ending. I thought that, being a limited 3-episode series, it would be more tightly plotted and they wouldn't have to worry about people being offended by "explicit" gay love scenes. Considering what the actors portraying gay characters (Carlos Cuevas and Alejandro Speitzer) have shown/done on other shows, this was really tame.
