Sometimes I don't find about a show until it is over - it doesn't come up in my daily searches, yet randomly shows up in youtube's watch next recommendations (a month or two later). This is one of those shows. From what I have read (and this site has a nice review: psycho-milk.com/2020/06/14/tien-bromance-episodes-1-3/) though influenced by watching just the first three episodes. Tien and Tay are the two leads. Only one other character shows up in the first 2 episodes. I swear that I have seen Tai in other BL productions from Vietnam - perhaps some short films? The show has some dark themes - and is more of a horror. 10 episodes and a bonus episode were filmed - this page has a nice playlist - just click on the thumbnails in the left column: world-of-bl.com/index.php/Vietnam/TienBromance. Note, I am only part way through episode 1 - but will say the production value is really nice. Here is the channel link (though it is a production company - and they have a lot of other videos to wade through to find the episodes): www.youtube.com/c/DượcsĩTiến/videosand here is the first episode: The channel actually helpfully provides these keywords for the first 6 episodes: Episode 1: youtu.be/WlmVRO7qaMs (Type: Thriller, Horror) - Episode 2: youtu.be/Ch4fe5OD0l4 (Type: Action, Emotion) - Episode 3: youtu.be/QPE0-Nui7mU (Type: Action, Kiss) - Episode 4: youtu.be/n1HsEJDzh90 (Type: Action, Escaping) - Episode 5: youtu.be/tXW1irOePHE (Type: Love, Kisses, Memory Lost) - Episode 6: youtu.be/rTamPWMQ8WQ (5 years later) Updated to add that there are actually 2 bonus episodes - and they seem to be a bit happier in terms of theme. I want a Tien in my life - even if he seems to be a master at getting into trouble. Having watched the first four and part of the fifth episode, I have to say this one of my new favorites - just for being so different then a lot of the BL stories we have had this summer. Tay and Tien have great chemistry - and you can really see how Tien's feelings evolve [ spoilers: and his heart breaking at the end of episode 4 was so painful to watch.]

I figured out where I had seen the actor who plays Tai before: gaydaytime.proboards.com/thread/2119/hey-first-love-webseries (youtube's algorithms are scary - as the first episode of Hey, First Love was in my recommended videos list!) I finished episode five - I am so impressed with this show even considering how soapy it can be, and the sheer bloody horror (which sometimes left me laughing because it hit every trope of bad horror imaginable). Tien's love for Tai really binds it all together though.

Oh God yes, I remember this show. I watched it on one of those Asian Drama channels earlier this year after stumbling across an episode by chance. I can't deny it was a really well made series but it was very gritty and way too violent for me at times. In almost every episode one of the main couple (usually the younger one) would end up being beaten up and/or tortured. One episode that sticks in my mind Spoiler: had the younger guy being kidnapped and repeatedly hit with a wooden log before having a bucket full of snakes dumped on his head with the main baddie then pushing them into his face/mouth. Same baddie later came back and forced his mouth open, stuffed a live frog in and then put a hand over guys mouth to stop it getting back out. I think this was in retaliation to the younger guy trying to eat another frog (or something like that). My memory is hazy now. To be honest I'd be really surprised if that particular episode is left intact on YT. Kevvoi, please let me know if that episode on YT does retain the bits I mentioned. One thing I would say about it though is that the two actors had great chemistry. In show, the couple's relationship was good; their love scenes were very realistic and when they were reconciled at the end of an episode it didn't matter how much blood they might be spitting out of their mouths they would still be able to have long deep (presumably salty) kisses! Just another day at the office for these boys!If I'm not mistaken this show has had two spin-off's. A direct sequel called: Tiến Bromance: My Small Family and: Tiến Tài The Games, a periodic game show series featuring the two main actors.

Yeah - not just horror but also a lot of action film tropes - so I think that both characters are held together with bailing wire, gum and scar tissue. Sadly the snake bucket was only episode 2

I don't think it's finished yet. They announced 5 bonus episodes and they haven't released them all yet.
I watched the first two and the timeline of the show is bit confusing, but the show is well made.

My Small Family are the bonus episodes I mentioned (and episode 2 was released in the last week or two). The game show is also available at the same channel. I read that the actor who plays Tien is also the director of Tien Bromance. Sadly, MyDramalist doesn't seem to have a page for this show.
Edited to add - the Games are on episode 3 - the third one premieres tomorrow (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uX0GxU3O_Nc)

I finished Tien Bromance - and am now looking forward to watching My Small Family.
The show has a change in theme at episode 6 - including a time jump by five years. It loses all of the horror/supernatural stuff of the first couple episodes, but retains a lot of the action flick drama now mixed with gangs. I like how Tai finds peace becoming a teacher in the village. Tien never gives up on him - and finally finds him after the 5 year hiatus. Hong (I think recast - because she doesn't look the same at all) comes back to cause mayhem. I am still a bit confused by the gang that Tien was a part of - and the last five minutes of episode 10 seemed really designed to pull out every loose thread in plot from the show.
My one complaint - doesn't Do already have a mother? Wasn't there a woman at the funeral other than the teacher - who was comforting him? So why are Tai (and by extension Tien) so adamant about taking him away with them. I had the giggles watching the grown up Do with his two dads though - Tien with a goatee does look a bit older, but Tai and his fake mustache still looked way to young to have a 20-something son. Though it was a nice call back to the scene with Do wanting to be a cop - and the actor they picked for the grown-up Do looked really good in the dress uniform.

Those bonus episodes of My Little Family are just too short. They really don't have much of plot - just small scenes of family life together. Tien might be regretting getting talked into fostering Do.

The last episode of My Little Family has a teaser for their next series - Fishing Village Appointment. It will start airing October 31st - here's hoping it doesn't turn back to the horror tropes considering it is premiering on Halloween.

They haven't done one of their game show episodes in a long time - but I guess they decided to do a new one:
Premieres June 25.

I didn't even realise we were linking to these game show videos, so I'm just copying Kevvoi's lead here as I'm sure he's more on top of this than I am:
