There seems to be a fair amount of gay content in this.

Apparently the gay character (Francisco a.k.a. Chico, played by Michel Joelsas) is one of the co-leads; in fact the lead is split almost equally between him, a straight boy and a queer girl (although the latter arguably has the biggest role of the three). It's quite short (only 6 episodes) so not a very long commitment, but it's also quite a quirky series and the central theme of a virus may be a bit on the nose in this Covid-19 era (that probably explains why Netflix barely promoted it ahead of its release). Interestingly, the only character whose love life is fully fleshed out in the series is Chico, although some may argue that his promiscuity is a negative portrayal of gay men. His hookups provide the series' only male nudity (rather regularly too), so he is far from an asexual character.

I just randomly started watching this yesterday without knowing it had a gay character/storyline, and I came here to check if there was a thread about it.
I'm really loving it so far (I just watched the first 2 episodes)...
Fun fact: Chico is played by the actor Michel Joelsas who was in the original 'Julie and the Phantoms' here in Brazil

Just finished the show and now I REALLY need a second season!
I love Chico... I wanna see what happens next!
Overall it was a very interesting show. I like how the virus storyline is quite allegorical when, underneath, the show is really about youth oppression, social power structures and class issues.
The visuals are quite stunning and I love that the gay character is the most flashed out (and interesting!)

I saw an interview with the creator and he said the show was pitched to Netflix as a multi-season series, but with COVID, the future definitely looks a bit blurry
