This show is dead to me after they censored the gay kiss.

The kiss was actually shown, what censorship are you talking about?

I'm hoping this means that pretend-gay Simon is actually bisexual. And since Elias is still going to show up for the rest of the season I hope that Simon will explore his sexuality with Elias. And from what I can tell about present day, Simon isn't together with Nimah/Raina (I can't remember which one Simon had a "relationship" with) so maybe there's hope for Elias and Simon? What's their ship name? Elimon?

The kiss was actually shown, what censorship are you talking about? No it wasn't. It was cut out. Instead they showed two straight couples having sex. They clearly know how to prioritize! A gay kiss is a big no-no while the straights get to have sex every second, ok then. There's also the fact that the fake gay is now a hero after the bomb plot while the real gay is weak and a coward. GREAT representation there! It's an insult and quite frankly offensive. I'd expect more than this from an openly gay showrunner. I haven't seen a storyline this bad in YEARS. Heck.. I've seen gay storylines on telenovelas better than this crapfest, and that says something!

Am I the only one (pleasantly) surprised with the kiss? I thought Simon and Elias hated each other!

Am I the only one (pleasantly) surprised with the kiss? I thought Simon and Elias hated each other! I thought they came to an understanding after Simon told Elias the truth about Gaza (or part of the truth at least) but I totally didn't see a kiss coming. It was a nice surprise but hopefully they will get more into their relationship as to what the kiss meant or if it was a one-time parting gift on Simon's account.

So the fake gay on the show is now a hero while the actual gay guy on the show (well.. before he left anyway) is a coward. This is the most insulting and offensive show I've seen in years. F*** this stupid show.

I'm still willing to give the show a chance, mostly because Elias is listed at IMDB for at least 5 more episodes so I'm very curious how he will included in the upcoming episodes, especially after he was kicked out because he wasn't ready to give his live for nothing (seriously, why would anyone have stayed around the bomb beside Simon?! There was no need for that all. But well, draaaaaama! I guess)

F*** this stupid show. What's really offensive is the fact that this show has a gay head writer. It's really amazing that some straight writters (like the one on Spartacus) put his gay characters really front and center even when it was a show was a predominatly straight male audience while some gay writers seem to have some deep complex of inferiority. The whole is or is not gay is a really stupid plotline, so it's not surprising it ended that way

I find incredibly pathetic that this is the kind of gay characters a gay headwriter is able to give us. Sorry but this show had written gaybait all over itself from the beginning and it would be great if gay websites start to be more cautious about the shows they promote, and the fact that a show has a gay writer right now is more a bad thing that a good one

I didn't really get into Quantico, but after reading that article ... WTF. They seriously did that?

Strictly speaking, I don't have an issue with faux gays or cowardly gays. Gay guys don't all have to be noble and good. But having both in one show as the sole representatives of the LGBT community and without proper explanation of their motivations was what tipped this show into the 'offensive' category for me.
Why the heck would a guy pretend to be gay in order to move away from his past? The mind boggles how that works. I could understand it if a straight guy pretended to be gay in order to get something from the gay guy he's seducing - it would be no different than straight characters sleeping with opposite-gender partners to whom they're not attracted for some nefarious motive - but that wasn't the case here.
An all-round piss-poor attempt at ticking some kind of diversity checkbox and luring in gay viewers who are going to desert the show in droves now. What was Joshua Safran thinking? Scrap that - I'm not too surprised: he also gave us Gossip Girl where a character who was straight in the books was revealed to be gay via an offscreen kiss and barely seen after that. He must have a rivalry going with the Teen Wolf creator on who can treat their gay viewers with greater contempt.

The only good thing about this sh*tfest is that Rick Cosnett got a paycheck, and something to put on his resume. The show in itself is dead to me, and now that Rick is gone I've got even less reason to watch. Oh well.. maybe this can free up time so he can get back on The Flash. One can only hope!
