i like this even better than Ollie & Christian! the look on Joscha's face when he finally realized what was really important was priceless... i agree, the song was the greatest choice also! thank you, Mimi as always but even more so. i've been in Honduras training teachers the last two weeks & was only able to watch a couple of episodes. watching all of them together was special. you ROCK!!!!!!!

Thanks for the link, but since I'm in the US it won't play for me. It's a brilliant idea that the soaps would catch onto the "First Kiss" band wagon. Why would anyone expect to see "Kai" & "Joscha" in the clip? We've seen them have numerous kisses on the show.

You understand me wrong. I mean with that. No Kai or Joscha in this first kiss clip. Do you know what I mean? Only actors from AWZ in the clip are Sam (Marian) and Andre (Ingo).

Yes, I get what you meant. Thanks for the clip. I wasn't expecting to see those two in it, because of the idea behind "First Kiss".

Thank you, that was really cute. It played fine for me here in the U.S. The one actor kissing the dog was super sweet. And Marian and Ingo (or the actors, I should say) were really funny.

Thanks, Mimi! Damn it. Joscha was having the best day of his life. He has a loving boyfriend, he came out, his career wasn't torpedoed by it, and he has good friends that support him. And then that happens. I'm guessing it was either the drunk assholes or someone from his own team. Maybe we'll find out some day. I am looking forward to Can and Joscha talking about it. I think that Can will come around, with a little help from Katja.

While I wouldn't want Joscha's coming out to go 100% smoothly (I mean, we've waited so long, so we deserve some drama), I agree the whole gay bashing thing is cliche at this point. It would be more interesting if they focused on Can and maybe Joscha's dad not being able to accept it, in addition to homophobia in the locker room or something.

Perhaps I'm naïve (also not European), but seems that an outright bashing is not as likely to happen now. I would think an out 'profi' footballer in Europe would be more likely to face personal slights in the locker room or jeers on the field from the same Neanderthals in the stands who insult black players.

Thanks, Mimi!
Damn. Always hard to see someone beaten up like that. I also don't envy Kai having to tell Joscha's father (I forget his name) all of that. That's a lot to take in, and he looked shocked.
I'm sure Kai will blame himself for what happened. But it was ultimately Joscha's decision to come out that way. So we'll see how that plays out.

Whilst I think the gay bashing scenerio is getting a bit old, I thought this was quite well done. The scenes where Joscha was beaten were horrific and it makes a change that his life is in danger as opposed to just a few cuts & bruises. I don't read the spoilers but I'm guessing that Joscha survives. It will be interesting to see how this confident young man copes with such a vicious attack and how it effects his personality & relationship with Kai.

Aww. I hope Joscha finds the strength to go on. It would be easy to give up. Maybe with Kai's help. I also hope it only takes Can a little time, and some help from Katja, to be okay. But however he felt, I'm disappointed that he didn't come stand with the rest of the team.

I think it is going to take Joscha a long time to get over this attack. But I am sure he will, with Kai's help and the rest of the team he will work though this It will be interesting to see if this effects his personality at all and if so how it will effect his relationships with his friends, family and with Kai.
From what we've seen so far I think can is more upset that Joscha didn't tell him about being gay rather than the fact that he is actually gay. Before Joscha came out Can was telling him that he was like a brother so I think he feels hurt that Joscha didn't trust him enough. Especially as Katja and Deniz already knew. I wonder if we will find out who attacked Joscha. The show seems to be trying to make out that it was that other footballer (is his name Nick?) but I'm not convinced. I guess we shall see.

To me there is something very tender about the way Joscha and Kai interact. Makes my heart ache.
ETA: Thank you so much for subtitling and uploading, Mimi! Myself I can read German pretty well but there is no way I'd be able to understand spoken German without (German or English) subtitles.
