Yeah, they are quite stunning. You can find various parts of the show online on youtube -- but with the mix of languages, it makes it more difficult to watch.

Hey, are you a pinoy too? This show has been trending in Phil, since last week. Im one, btw. I have given links to a few friends/acquaintance online and they liked it, but they were begging me for subs but i just dont have the patience to translate the whole 50min of the video! But the storyline is really, really good, and if there's one thing pinoy telenovela actors are good at, its really acting. Eric (Dennis T. ) played a gay man in a movie in the past, a period piece (during Japanese occupation in philippines) and he was absolutely brillant there too . He's a veteran actor, been playing in tv and movies for 10 years now. Im really glad they offered the role to him btw, he had no qualms at all playing the role, showing, just how professional he is. Anyone interested, here is the link: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJNmBOa9h9seIts not translated, but then, ive seen a couple of gay movies that didnt have one, but was still able to enjoy the show (idk how? i just did! LOL) the scenes in each episode are ample explanation anyway, that's why i still give out links to those interested to watch.

I am sooo addicted to this show!!! I wish there were a way to share this with the greater community. Is there anyone willing to sub? I can try my hand at providing translated transcripts for people, but as for timing and subbing, that's a whole different matter altogether.

This is good news. I'm looking forward to watching (and reviewing) this show. Looks interesting! Please do review it if you have time. I may be biased, but coming from a person who has been raised in a predominantly catholic nation, i really think its one of the most daring TV series in our country yet. The effect Brokeback had on US, its the same with MHL in our homeland. Whatever this show introduces, suddenly becomes the new fad. Even though the main characters are gay people, the fact that these 2 men are happily straight in real life, is beating a lot of close minded people in this country.

So soapy and melodramatic and over the top. I love it. This is a great show. I'm looking forward to future episodes. There is also one thing that should be noted. The gay lovers has no kissing or compromising sex scenes at all. Some people might say its disappointing, but i'd say, its illogical to compare it to the type of physicality some on the shows in this website has. general public in Philippines has not yet catch up to that. Because the whole thing's airing period rest highly on being not too perverted, the director has to juggle a lot, from fan expectation, to not be accused of being too obscene. As it is, our film regulatory board is highly influenced by our church.

Thanks for posting. That's sad, not even a kiss. But kudos for airing this show at prime time slot. It's like the Korean drama, "Beautiful Life" where the male couple didn't have any kiss, except a peck on the forehead.

not surprised by this at all and it won't bother me or lessen my enjoyment of the show. The fact that this show was even made is huge progress in itself. And it's great that people are watching and enjoying it. it certainly could not be made in this country, that's for sure.

I think it's stupid because the majority of Filipinos accept gays. But the government is religiously connected, and equal rights for lgbt persons are frequently being turned down by them. They are more acceptable in the art field (as always), but the only gays you would see on TV would be the stereotypical gay best friend who commented on clothes and acted bitchy.
This show is definitely a step forward.

This show is definitely a step forward. Its really an immense step! For instance, talks about gay people in our community are usually just brought up as a joke, or if rumors surface. There's also this odd/unfair perception towards them in this country. But this show really open up a lot of minds who are amicable to change, if only it was brought up to their attention. Are you a filipino btw? haha, the way gays only thought of as fitting only in 'fashion business' is so...LOL

When this was aired i really thought, times haz change, something that would be condemn in the past, is now garnering a lot of love in the Philippines. Some of the plots might be repetitive in soap land, but the way the writer wrote around this banality's really amazing.

Yes ginia1110I am Filipino. What I meant by the Arts means more than just fashion. Acting, singing, fashion, painting, are all considered part of the Arts.
I was born and raised in the US. My parents always would tell me about their gay friends. But they are literally the stereotypical hairdressers and town fashionista. Rarely do you see couples portrayed on this soap as part of the norm. If someone uses the word bakla (gay person), it's almost seemed like a derogatory word, which it shouldn't be.

Ah,,, so you're living abroad. Ya you're right, its rare to see a story like this, portraying gay men as something else than what we are used to in the Philippines. Hehe i guess you are right about the word 'bakla' though, haha. I really wish they'd feature this series, you know, with the big pictures and all in front of a particular thread? Since this is an ongoing series and all. I wish the admins can do that. Pretty please, Admins?? Btw guys, episode 5 is up. Thanks! ^_^

There's quite a few shows that probably should have their own threads, I think. Christian and Syed haven't been on EE for months and months while other shows with ongoing gay characters (Neighbours, River City to name two) get no love and there are others as well.
Anyway, thanks for the latest episode. Things sure moved fast with them having two babies in the ep. I loved it when Vincent and Eric went slow motion through the turnstile. And it's getting juicy with Eric becoming Vincent and Lally's architect. Talk about letting the fox in the hen house. LOL....
I am really enjoying this show. Looking forward to future ones.
