First time here! I can't believe I finally landed on a Hollyoaks' thread, because I avoided "the other storyline" like the pest Same here on all counts. ;D (I mean, almost all. I did keep up with JP/Craig/K after all.) Thanks for the clips, I was able to catch up. The last scene was so imperfectly perfect or perfectly imperfect, which made it believable somehow. Either way, really good so far, proof you don't have to overdo it or take it to extremes to sell it. Keep that "other one" at bay for as long as possible and let this one stand firmly on its own, and I'll definitely check this out on the occasions I'm around. LMAO, Macari!!!

That last scene was amazing, PJ and Kieron acted the hell out of it too, I was seriously impressed and more excited for tomorrow than ever. . ;D So glad that there's an EP focused on developing Ste, Doug and giving Kieron and PJ chances to shine in this storyline.

I was absolutely taken aback! It was freakin' great, even though it was like 40 second long. What I loved most, apart from Big!Glassy!Blueeyes! and voice!craking, was that he didn't get out some sort of convoluted and meaningful speech or misterious lines. He just went and said all the little things that EVERY AND SINGLE person in the world does when besotted with someone. And that was worth a lot more than anything else, it was so genuine and realistic. He wasn't going on about how Adam wasn't the right guy for Ste, he just wants Ste to want to spend all of his waking time with him and noone else.

I gotta say, those eyes of his really helped with the whole thing Bravo to PJ and Kieron for what they portrayed in a major turning point for Doug and Ste. That was wonderfully touching, awkward, revealing and beautiful to witness. The expression of love, without even having to say the words. This is more than just lust and desire (which is what Ste's gone through with the double B). Doug doesn't even have the guarantee or knowledge of Ste feeling the same way about him. Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful.

I just loved Dougs "answer"... or rather no answer... For me it seemed like he realised his love at that point just like Ste did. Of course he knew there where feelings and all that, but it just fell into place by hearing Ste saying it out loud. I totally agree with you, I had the same impression about Doug. Kieron and PJ did a really good job, I loved Doug's face when asked "you do (love me), do you" and loved how Ste's expression changed when he realized the answer to his question was yes. I can't wait for tomorrow! But I still can't quite understand the part of the spoiler that says --> "Doug has a change of heart".. Btw, off topic question: is it possible to talk about spoilers in this thread or not?

Such a great episode today. The end was so perfectly soapy, and I fist pumped when Dougie spilled the beans. ;D
I agree with others, I think Dougie came to the realization he was in love the same time Ste realized Dougie loved him!
PJ knocked it out of the park with his performance today.

I'm loving this pairing more and more with every episode. They really hit it out of the park with this one.

I think there are very many people, regardless of their gender or their sexual orientation who could identify with where Doug was emotionally at that moment. That feeling of needing to tell that person how they make you feel: the joy of seeing their face everyday and just being in their presence makes you feel alive.
The writers and PJ nailed that in tonight's scenes.

Great scene today. Loved it. Btw, off topic question: is it possible to talk about spoilers in this thread or not? It's better to do it in the Spoiler Discussion thread. If you really want to mention a spoiler here or there in this thread, make sure you change the color to beige or white (just like you did).

What I love so much about the way this storyline has been portrayed, is the way you all the time can see that it is killing Doug that Ste has no idea: Like that scene where Leanne do role-play, you could just see that Dough though "this is not going to go well" - and yesterday when Ste said "I'm all yours", I think Doug really struggled! I am almost going to miss that now that the word is out

"You know what? I consider you all the time...You're the first person I think about in the morning and the last person I think about at night. And when I check my phone is to see if you've text. I´m sorry Ste, but I don´t want you to spend all your time with Adam"
This is simply amazing, I absolutely love that lines... with that I´m leaving for work now...but I can´t wait for tonights episode. *sigh*

Don't tell me about it, I have the same problem with British accent. I can understand what Doug says (almost) all the time, but I struggle a lot with Ste's accent... I always watch the video more than 2 or 3 times to manage to understand what Ste is saying (and sometimes I don't and I give up..). I guess it is only because I'm not used yet to that accent..

So far the writers are doing a great job with Stug. I'm surprised at how much i'm enjoying it. I can't wait for Ste to tell Doug he likes him as well.

Is it weird that I ge everything Ste says? BUT I do have a lot of problems with pretty much everyone else (apart from Doug who's very clear), including Brendan even though Irish people tend to have a pretty clear pronunciation. But it's still nothing compared to the nightmare that is Emmerdale XD Anyway, I honestly can't wait for Ste's response today, he was so shocked yesterday he let Doug get away without even reacting...

I guess it is just a matter of habit, the more you are used to an accent the easier it is to understand. I personally am more used to the American accent because I've always loved watching movies, tv series and stuff with the original audio that usually are from America. I don't know about Emmerdale because I never watched it..

Aaawww I expected something like that... but at least it is obvious that Ste has got feelings for Doug too. He was so disappointed.

It´s kinda frustrating because I totally get why Doug said all those things, but seeing Ste´s disappointment was so sad. He was just about to give things a go... oh and I loved that Adam, the one who doesn´t know them at all actually, was the only person to know exactly what was going on inside their heads. I´m curious to see if Doug learns about the break-up tomorrow and how all the "stuff" after that will work out At the moment Doug just doesn´t want ruin their friendship and their business partnership so it is the reasonable thing to do... and I think he believes Ste isn´t interested in him like that so he´s protecting himself by saying he just wants to be friends. But love isn´t rational so I guess it won´t be long until denying doesn´t work anymore. For both of them.

Well, steffi you summarized pretty much my thoughts about the episode. I am really loving how the story is developing, it shows how Doug really cares about Ste to the point that he puts Ste's happiness before his own. And this explains the "Doug has a change of heart" spoiler being actually about him wanting for Ste to be happy (with Adam) and wanting to still be friends. I also felt a little sorry for Adam, and I'm glad they sent him away as a good but unlucky guy. Best line of the episode was Cindy's "you two, why don't you kiss and make up", it cracked me up (I wonder why ). And Ste stopping by a shop window to fix his hair before to go to Doug, so sweet.
