The only thing that bothered me was Sonny's passive-aggressiveness. He wanted to wait for Will to ask what was going on, and passively dropped hints that he wanted to talk about something. But he didn't come out and say "I need to talk about this stuff" to his husband - the one person he should rely on, should be upfront with. Thing is, I agree with the central conclusion. Will hasn't expressed much interest in what's going on with Sonny for a while now. I'm just not thrilled with the fact that Sonny is usually forthright, but this time he came across as very passive-aggressive to me. Oh well. And I have no doubt now that Paul knows who Will is and is playing him. Trying to make him believe he's too young to be tied down and that if 2 people have busy careers they have no chance of making it. I don't think Paul knows that Will is Sonny's husband. I think Paul was trying to soothe his own conscience for how things ended with Sonny. Maybe you are right. Paul is still on the show so I'm thinking they want to do a sympathetic s/l about a Pro Athlete coming out. Paul breaking up Will and Sonny's marriage will not really make him sympathetic if he does it in a underhanded way.

I still don't understand why Will doesn't wear his ring when he is going to see Paul His boss didn't want Paul asking Will any questions about his personal life because some people still have issues with gay people. But the real reason is the usual Days stupid writing. They want Paul to think Will is single.

Yeah, the rationale for Will not wearing his ring is pretty much total BS. The only thing that could justify that is if the subject of the article was rabidly anti-gay, which (as far as we know) Paul hasn't been publicly. I had previously been wondering if the publisher knows that Paul is gay and is trying to bait him with Will. Seems unlikely, though (considering he didn't know Will was gay until they met).
At any rate, my only problem today was that Sonny was an ass toward Will. I get that he's upset and he has legitimate reasons for it. But the text message was pretty bad and then calling Will a child was really low. He sort-of apologized, but I'm sure it didn't help. To be fair, Will's priorities are messed up. He definitely should have brought Ari to see Gabi much sooner. I'm at a total loss as to why he didn't.

The writers are changing them so much to drive this s/l that they are becoming unrecognizable.

Forgot to mention this the other day but this was not the Gabi I expected to see. Rafe and Abbie have been acting like she's on the verge of a breakdown from not seeing Ari and Will's been made out to be a horrible father for keeping Ari away from her. But Gabi seemed fine to me. I'm sure she did miss Ari but it was not as bad as people were saying.

Today's show was just sad again. Will was trying to make things better between them but now Sonny is keeping it a secret that he took money from their account. And it was Sonny who suggested they spend most of Christmas Eve apart. Just sad.

I wish the writing were better. There is so much OOC stuff happening here just to hit plot points.

I also like it that it's Sonny keeping secrets now. It's definitely OOC for Sonny, when he's been written and portrayed as being so Duddley Do Right for so long. Yet this is the drama that has been denied for these characters and their pairing for such a long time. I'm interested enough to want to see, how the fractured state of the WilSon marriage will be resolved. For me, it's a relief that nothing has resolved within the same episode or even the next episode and that with some kiss, everything is fine and dandy in WilSonland.

For me, Sonny's behavior would not seem so puzzling and perhaps not even out of character if we were given even some clue as to his motivations. I understand where Will's behavior is coming from because we've seen this insecurity and self-castigation before, and he also admitted some of that to Sonny yesterday. So I don't need to see him explaining how he's feeling to anyone else. But I really need more than Victor's theories as to why Sonny's doing what he's doing. The only person we have heard Sonny opening up to lately is Adrienne, but that was only because she forced him to, and of course there is a lot about his relationship with Paul and about his business that he'd never discuss with his mother. He can't talk to T, because he's Will's friend, too. What happened to those friends he introduced to Will (the bald guy and the other guy whose name I can't remember) and who showed up at their bachelor party? I want to hear him talking about his feelings to someone neutral. This is a soap. People are supposed to talk about their feelings. I get that he can't talk about Paul because of the promise he made, but obviously he already broke that promise by telling Adrienne (and presumably Justin) about Paul, so why couldn't he confide in someone else he trusted?

The only thing I can think of that Sonny is feeling is that he feels Will would have never come home if he had not been fired. He doesn't feel like he's important to Will any more. He doubting Will's feeling while having Paul tell him how much he wants him back in his life.

Maybe. I certainly agree that Will would not have come home now if he hadn't been fired, but that just seems to be one thing that's motivating Sonny. Their relationship was strained even before Will's hiatus, though I don't remember all the details. I understand most of Sonny's concerns about Will now, but I don't understand why he's so invested in the second club ... to the point of doing stupid stuff.

Wow. I almost can't believe Sonny went there. Basically saying that the money in their joint account was his and not theirs. "Don't put words in my mouth." Really, Sonny? And he was really nonchalant about it, too. The show did a good job of making Will look bad before, and now they're doing a number on Sonny, too. Poor Paul. All he has is baseball. He's probably sacrificed a lot for it (not just his relationship with Sonny). It's telling, of course, that the first person he tried to reach out to was Sonny. Now I suppose he'll open up to Will, as his life crumbles around him.

So Sonny and Will have apparently discussed, off camera, Sonny's contract with Chad, since Will asked what happened to the contingency money. So does Will know that Sonny loses TBD if the second club fails? I would guess not, but it would have been nice to actually see that conversation.
I can't believe how easily Will let Sonny off the hook for that asinine comment about the money. They really know how to hit at each other's insecurities. Ah, the joys of marital argument.
Roman is a hypocrite. With all the crazy stuff he put up with from Bo and Hope over the years (Hope even went to prison and then was allowed to rejoin the force), he's firing Rafe for this? There must be some plot point reason that Rafe needs to not be a police officer.
