Such a lovely episode with lots of adorable moments. Loved Christian's top as it clung to his torso at just the right points!!
The plate smashing seems a bit dangerous with the first plate (I thought it was a glass) landing so close not only to our boys but also to the people in front of them. It was such a shock when it landed and I immediately thought it was a homophobic reaction to them kissing in public.

Cute cute cute episode! Was I the only one who wanted Helandi to move out of the way so I could see more of Chrolli sweeping together?! I love how Christian kept staring at Olli and made him nervous. Swoon! Lol, poor Helandi just don’t stand a chance against the amazing Chrolli chemistry even when it’s just the boys cleaning the sidewalk together. ;D

Wow. So... Charlie's got some wicked mojo! If she'd had a full week's notice, she prolly coulda got the Pope himself to perform the ceremony. [/ ] I know, I know... it's a soap opera. And we're tryin' a make a POINT, dammit! And big to joanna for the caps, liz for the recap and MM for the clip.

LOL, yes, the writers could've EASILY given gabrielle metzger an extra couple of lines to make her less of a deus ex machina. Something as simple as her having blackmail fodder on the church folk. "I simply told them marry my nephew and his fiance, or I'll tell the papers about the orgy in the sacristy" and so on and so forth.
Edit: yes nitty genau!! one of their first moments of true connection!

ahh, Polterabend! It's a tradition that manifests 'good luck' in der Liebe for the couple hehehehe According to my German Friend, the couple must 'clean up' the shattered pottery themselves---to show they can work together and all will be well during their marriage. PS: hmm, of course, they were kissing too much to actually get anything cleaned-up! PPS: oh, and, he also told me that 'glass' is not good...breaking glass is a bad thing on this night. Geoff

That would've been hella won'erful - though slightly impolitic in terms of the "We're here! We're queer! Get used to it!" message. ahh, Polterabend! It's a tradition that manifests 'good luck' in der Liebe for the couple hehehehe Yeah... in sort of a 'break that (porcelain) and you won't break this (the couple)' kinda way. But as strawberryking noted earlier, NOT glass. I haven't exactly figured out the significance of the porcelain itself, despite the fact that I feel compelled to polish the china practically every day.

Yep, we're talking about some amazingly wicked mojo. Hell, with a whole month to play with, Charlie might have even gotten gay marriage legalized in Germany! ;D

So, is there any place we can get the episode with subtitles. I usually find it, but not this time. Thanks in advance

I think you under-estimate her. I say: two weeks. Tops! But, what's a couple weeks among friends, eh? Have a banana. On me.

Danke Lizkarita! I think my favorite aspect of the ep is the fact that when the plate first comes crashing in, Christian basically tries to protect and shield Olli instinctively, i just adore little touches like that... I missed that the first time! Now that I've gone back and rewatched that clip 200 or so times I can say I completely agree. Christian's protective gestures toward Olli always make me melt. =) Thank you everyone!

Catching up on all the eps I missed-fun to see the wedding traditions of different countries. I like the cleaning together idea The most interesting mix of traditions I'd seen was at a Jewish/Chinese wedding. Christian and Olli's insistence on getting married in a church seemed to come out of left field and seemed rather random. I really like how Christian has been showing more and more of his affection towards Olli. I find Olli is portrayed as the more physically affectionate of the two, with Christian as the receiver of Olli's adoration, but there's been a subtle shift as Christian shows (and says) his love more and more, whether it's in his body language, physical gestures, words, or gazes. His "let me just look at you" just about reduced me into a puddle of messy, sappy glue.

Christian and Olli's insistence on getting married in a church seemed to come out of left field and seemed rather random. Compared to other things I've seen friends flip out about when they got married, Christian deciding that he really did want a church wedding even if he hadn't stepped foot in a church in however many years, doesn't seem so outrageous to me. Besides, just before Olli proposed, he'd told Andi about what he thought he'd have if he hadn't met Olli, and a church wedding didn't seem so out-of-the-picture (but I don't think he specifically mentioned it either)
