God, I totally forgot to say! Flippa and Difficult Diva, your letters have arrived, wheeeeeeeeeeee! So if Diva's took about 12 days then mine should hopefully be there in about 3 more... *fingers crossed*Big huggles back! Glad you're feeling better and here's hoping for many more better days! Mom(noc)'s living up to her name, checking up on you And 'cuse me for interrupting your and B'chick's conversation... but I have a curiosity question. When B'chick said, "toda raba!" is that simply the phonetic way of typing a phrase in Hebrew using the Latin alphabet and this isn't something that everyday writers use? (I'm assuming instead that writers of Hebrew use the cursive version instead). Or do you commonly see both?

Amber, No matter how old your dog was, that had to have been extremely difficult to see him go, but I'm glad you got a chance to see him one last time. I don't doubt that he was immensely loved. BIG HUGS to you

Hi Everyone! (*passes around mugs of hot chocolate*) I'm Therese, and I live in California near San Francisco. I would definately say that Ollian is my favorite couple, although if Amir & Harel had the same amount of screen time I might be a wee bit torn. (*ducks flying pillows*) Ok! Ok! I love them all. No really I do I've been a big movie addict & scifi reader since I was little (what do you expect from a Theatre student), which eventually led to fanfic, slash and lots of GLBT media. Then one day while browsing youtube I stumbled across a random VL clip from Nanna and that was it. Spent the next two days devouring VL clips then discovered TGOD blog/board and thought I'd died and gone to heaven! Never imagined I'd ever end up completely falling for any soap storyline, let alone one in German but the exquisite uniqueness of all these love stories is evident in how they have managed to fascinate and bring together people from around the world. It's simply wonderful. I've been lurking for awhile and it's amazing to me how genuinely friendly and enthusiastic everyone is.... it's great to be here. ;D

Thanks for the link, SFB. Are you on Livejournal or one of the Louis Garrel websites? I get tons of new photos and jpgs from those sites. I'm interested in the sequel to Les Chansons D'Amour if and when Christophe and Louis are willing to do it. I agreed with him about the "on the edge" aspect of the tagline for the film. Erwann IS young and it's probably first love for him, so Ismael does have the feeling that their relationship could end at any moment, but he's willing to forgo that, because he wants to experience that love with him, regardless of how long it lasts. Ahh, I adore this film. I can talk about it for hours and I did, when I saw it at the Toronto Film Festival in 2007. Diva, Yes I am on Livejournal although I never use my own account, I just have fun browsing others but I did upload the Les Chansons D'Amour pics if you (or anyone else) want them. Here's the link: pics.livejournal.com/softfurbear/Do you happen to have any links for Les Chansons D'Amour on LJ or other sites that you'd recommend? I am quite envious that you got to see it on the big screen (sigh). Oh who am I kidding? I would totally watch a sequel! I know that it would be unlikely that Erwann would stay with Ismeal over time, but the romantic in me wants Ismeal to have his happily ever after, after losing Julie. Despite his young age Ismeal seems very knowledgable about what he wants so maybe he might continue to want Ismeal? However, even if Honoré does make them go their seperate ways, I have faith that it would be just as fascinating and engrossing as the first film. As you can see, you are not alone in your adoration ;D Matan, You have all our best wishes that you feel better/human again shortly. Let's hope for a return of clarity really soon as your vivid description of exactly how you are feeling made me wince in sympathy - and don't you dare feel guilty about it either. Merely... see it as evidence that you are an effectively good writer I loved the John Barrowman vidcast as it's always a delight to watch him and Scott interact, however briefly. I can't imagine how Scott keeps up with the force of nature that is JOHN BARROWMAN but he certainly sounds like he manages to hold his own. (Although that laugh of John's would take a lot of exposure to lessen it's disarming quality).

Two documentaries that I like are "The Celluloid Closet" (focusing on the on-screen depictions of homosexuality in Hollywood from the beginning of pictures till the 90s) and "And the Band Played On" (about the history of AIDS in the US).
"Bent" is an excellent drama that hasn't been mentioned yet but as it focuses on the relationship between two men in concentration camp it's inevitably sad but very powerful.
Btw, Cyrille Thouvenin the actor who played Laurent in "Just a Question of Love" played another gay role in "Confusion of Genders " (but I far prefer the storyline of the first)

Softfurbear - I'm loving your Ishmael and Erwann icon from Les Chansons D'Amour. Thank you! I really liked Louis Garrel in various roles before this but as a movie musical lover to have him be in a film where his character follows his heart, regardless of gender.. I loved it ;D (Oh, and love songs in French are always a winner with me). Feel free to steal the icon if you like. I mysteriously have a total of 15 screen captures from that scene that I don't know where I got them from which you are also welcome to have if you want. Apparently the director, Christophe Honoré mentioned (in the article below) that there is a very distinct possibilty of a sequel someday and that some songs have even been written for it, but I for one can't imagine where the characters would go beyond that final scene (especially as he doesn't see Les Chansons D'Amour as having a happy ending). But who knows? www.moviepicturefilm.com/index.php?itemid=1828

matan, I'll second amber80 in that if talking about your health/worries etc. helps I'm all for it. Remember, "Shared pain is lessened, shared joy is increased". Btw, I've sent you a PM about "The Kiddies Project " louisa, Really sorry to hear about your bad week and I hope that life will start looking brighter soon. skylighter , and any other John Barrowman fans out there might find this of interest. It's a vidcast from the National Theatre in London early last year with John and his sister talk about his book (with both of them going into their Scottish accents when talking about their childhood). And in keeping with John's tradition of dragging Scott into the spotlight, there is a quick cameo of him speaking too ;D www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/34958/vidcast-episodes/john-barrowman-emanything-goesem.html(My apologies if this has already been posted before) skylighter , You are so lucky to have seen him on stage. I hope we can count on you to share lots of pictures and stories when you see him in June

Matan You are more than welcome! They just sound like they sorely need a long distance hug/distraction and I think your friend in England had such a great idea. I'll wait for your PM with the details and now I'm off to find postcards ;D Momnoc Thank you for the PM! I've sent you one back

And yay wanting in as well! *hugs* I have no problem with you "carpooling". Anyone in particular you have in mind? Or is there someone who would like to step up and carpool with you now? matan4il, just delurking here after reading about sending letters to the kids. I know I'm very late on the bandwagon (I knew I should be reading the boards more often) but I'd love to send a note if you don't think it's too late. I'd be more than happy to "carpool" with someone else or take any suggestions especially since Amber80 and Momnoc seemed to have done such a good job of it Just let me know.
