Totally agree with Anthony and thank you Tihkon for posting the clip.
After watching the whole scene, I noticed that the snippet we got last month when Kieron went on This Morning to talk about his personal experience, was kinda the less interesting part. I'm not referring to the kiss but what really left me breathless was all Brendan antics and careful mastered plan to get Ste to make the first move on that kiss.

Brendan clearly wanted Ste to make the first move. It's all part of the plan. But you could tell Brendan really wanted to tear Ste's clothes off and do him right there. this is my interpretation of the scene as well great episode, it's almost like seeing a shark circling around his prey every time he gets nearer

Here's Wednesday's scenes on Youtube from our own Anthony L.www.youtube.com/watch?v=e-zul0wcWfsI have to agree that Brendan had EVERYTHING planned even down to his "reaction" to Ste kissing him first. Doesn't mean Brendan isn't totally hot for Ste, but it does show how unbelievably controlling and manipulative our favorite be-stached one is!

Sorry, didn't mean that Brendan isn't hot for Ste I think he's very fixated on him, only that the build up to the first kiss was unbelievable good.

Loving this storyline. Gritty and raw and real. Domestic abuse exists in gay relationships aswell, even though we'd like them all to be perfectly in love.
Brendan wants to control Ste, then the boy will do whatever is asked of him, and he'll bully the poor boy into a position where he is to frightened to speak up or speak out.

The storyline is very addictive (even for someone like me who struggle with british accents). Maybe it's because is so different of the others, maybe because right now is quite impredictible, but i became addicted quite soon (wich is good because i miss follow a gay storyline on a soap on daily dosis since the end of ATWT)

OMG i saw the lastest episode Brendan is going to have fatal attraction to Ste.Brendan the way he stares at Ste gives me chills.Ste talking about liking other guy but not doing nothing about he went back to Amy explained alot about him a bit. Then Ste get jealous that Brendan is talking to girl.Brendan loved Ste was jealous.Brendan likes being in Ste space his all close to him at the bar.The celler scene i was so freakin nerves for Ste.Ste looked he going to pass out or piss in his pants thinking Brendan was going to beat him up.The kiss was so hot i rewind lots of times they have amazing chemistry.

I didn't watch Amy and Ste abuse storyline, but from what I gather he was a messed up angry young kid who took out his issues on her. But this time around is a bit different. Ste is literally quaking of fear of Brendan when he was cornered in the cellar. And Brendan looked absolutely pleased and even arouse over Ste being terrorize by him. Brendan doesn't get off on just the touch of a man, but the complete control over him as well. I won't deny the kissing was very hot because of the characters chemistry. But Brendan is so hot and cold with Ste that you wonder where they are going to go next. I do think that Brendan is going to have Ste under his thumb for a long time. He looked like a predator playing with his prey before eating it. I agree this storyline is very gripping and pulling you in. I went online and looked into domestic abuse. I finally watched all the clips up to now. Didn't pay as close attention as I could have, though, so I may have to go back . Huh, Ste was right - Brendan was working on the McQueen sisters (except Michaela, thank God - that would've just been creepy). Didn't quite sink in when I watched the clips . Brendan clearly wanted Ste to make the first move. It's all part of the plan. But you could tell Brendan really wanted to tear Ste's clothes off and do him right there. Exactly. This scene (and the loan scene) just screamed that Brendan wanted something to happen. It's kind of creepy, in a way. The latest Brendan & Ste scenes a day early again. Courtesy of frozenstrawberries. Wow.... That is some chemistry, and that scene in the cellar... Ah, I forgot about E4 . Anyway, that scene was disturbing, just like the whole relationship so far. It's hard to watch Ste be so ... submissive to Brendan's sadistic personality. I have a feeling I'm not going to like most of this storyline .

I have a feeling I'm not going to like most of this storyline . Yeah, I hear you. I'm on the edge right now. At first, I was really excited about this storyline, not least because Kieron Richardson is so compelling. But Brendan is so creepy and over the top that he's starting to irk me--and I haven't even watched tomorrow's clip yet! The spoiler clip was disturbing enough. I'll keep watching for a while, but I don't really know that I'm up for the violence...

I need to say I'm really hooked on this storyline. I'm usually more of a fan of dark stuff than fluff, so it's not such a huge surprise. I don't really *like* either of the two characters, but... but it's just so crazy Hollyoaks, which is good for me. I really want to see how this plays out. I don't really like violence, but I'd like to see the character psychology...

Thank you Tihkon for posting the clip in advance! It left me even more giddy than the last one, you could cut the sexual tension with a knife! I'm on the edge me too for what is coming but I can't stop watching it.

I can understand why some people could have some difficulties to follow this kind of storyline but I can't help being hooked up to it. It's like watching a trainwreck, you know is gonna hurt and is gonna be ugly but you can't look away. Even in creepy scenes where Brendan show his manipulative streak the chemistry between them is magnetic.

That was intense... wow. The cellar-scene was like... wow... don´t know what to say. Ste was so afraif of Brendan, you could almost feel it, heart beating and everything... this is so different to other storylines, I really like it. Maybe "like" is not the right word, but it´s really good stuff...

Poor Ste, and bad Brendan. I'm worried that it's only going to get darker, much darker. I haven't watch the whole of it because it's a bit much to watch before going to work. So I'll wait till I get home, but I saw the last bit and Ste looked so helpless and small.
I wonder if Cheryl ever figures out what Brendan is really like would she kick him out of her life or stand by him to help him get help?

I feel so pissed off . I was expecting it but once i saw it broke my heart seeing Ste getting punched by Brendan.Ste is helpless and wounded just if a dog just got kicked. It started off with Brendan and Ste giving each other glances and feeling uneasy around each other. But Ste and Brendan are alone at the bar Ste decides to hold Brendan hand Brendan pushs it away when his sister Cheryl comes around cute moment. But then Brendan looks like his going to kiss Ste but he actually punches the hell of him .I hated that part poor Ste his pain and tears being so scared. But why not say the truth his still protecting Brendan.

That was hard to watch. Poor Ste. Even though I watched the Ste&Amy-Storyline where he was the one hurting Amy I do not feel like he deserves this. No one does... I didn´t follow his way after what he did to her but he really seems to be a better person now, nice and a loving father. I wasn´t able to watch most parts of the cellar-scenes,...nervewrecking.

Wow. The actor's portrayals and their chemistry just keeps getting better and better. It was nice seeing Mercedes, don't know who the guy was though. The cellar scene was the capper but it started before then. In the office Ste was so sweet and vunerable telling B about his previous feelings, but you could just see B taking the info in and thinking how he was going to use the information to reel S in more.
Then when he slinks up next to S at the bar, acting dumb over making S jealous. Finally in the cellar he literally corners his prey and stalks up to him. Sniffs him and gets aroused by his fear. While S prepares to be hit B "devours" him instead, and his Steven is caught. It was all very primal.

I still think everyone involved in this storyline is doing a wonderful job. Emmett and Kieron are portraying their roles perfectly. Ste's so un-nerved by what's going on, yet his reaction is to not tell the truth and to not go to the hospital. That's the behavior of someone, who's unfortunately used to being abused. Brendan's behavior is also based in real behavior. An abuser, who feels some sort of remorse right after abusing their partner.
Of course it's going to get worse. This is about domestic abuse in a relationship between two men. I don't see anyone saying that Ste "deserves" it and that's not what (IMO) Hollyoaks' writers are trying to show in this storyline.
All fictional gay storylines in soaps, can't always be about pure, true and epic love.
