OK people I have good if not wonderful news. The cut is unlikely to go after the switch off of BBC switch! The program is played in full episodes on Saturday afternoons on BBC 3, if the switch is 'switched off' then the cut will continue to simply broadcast on Saturdays! Also I am now pegging Alex and Luke ( and Alex and Greg but A & L seems more likely.) Luke always seems to be there when Alex has a sexuality themed scene. Also on Friday Alex was annoyed and almost disgusted my Kelly's clingingness and does not seems all that happy with being with her. I would say he is just putting on a front.

even if it is shown on BBC3, I don't think The Cut is listed as a BBC 3 show...
I would like Alex/Luke... but I think Alex/Jack is more likely...
Well in case anyone is wondering what is going on with Jack and Alex.... Jack is bring Frankie around town having fun... Even thought there is a time where he acted weird when Frankie mentioned her brother..... Alex is running around town trying to find Frankie to warn her about Jack... He has recruited Cam to help with the search....

Weekly recap (sorry it's so short):
Alex enlists Cameron and Taylor's aid to find Frankie before Jack hurts her. At Cam's instigation Alex musters up the nerve to call Stephen and find out what's really wrong with Jack. Jack suffers from acute depression and paranoid schizophrenia. An unaware Frankie takes Jack back to her place as his symptoms get worse.
Other stories: Marla moves the wedding date up to the next day to stick it to her dad. Elliott comes clean about losing his place on the swim team, but it looks like everything will work out when he gets a call to be the face of a fitness brand. Only problem is, fitness brand is owned by Marla's estranged mother. Elliott initially refuses to sign the contract, but when he realizes just how accustomed Marla is to the finer things in life, he goes back and signs it. Meanwhile, Noah continues to try and impress Rosa.

Stephen!!!! Can't believe they actually brought him back!! You can tell that Alex still have feelings for Stephen, from the way he have trouble talking to him.... maybe this crisis will prompt Stephen to return.... especially since he supposedly said that he will be there for Marla's wedding anyway... then we can have some Alex/Stephen!!

So far this week: Stephen is back!! Seem like he is back to help Alex and Cam search for Frankie and for Marla's wedding... First stop... Olive's grave.... He then meet up with Alex (!!!!!)... They started off with talking about the Jack situation, but Alex then asked him why Stephen never brought up Alex in any conversation with Jack, whether it is regarding the rooftop incident or the Kiss (yes, that kiss miss be capitalized )... He even mentioned that he know that Stephen kissed him back.... Stephen then tell Alex that the Sanctuary is a place for looking forward and not back, implying that Alex is in his past..... Alex then storm off in anger.... We have Jack and Frankie staying overnight at Frankie and leaving first thing in the morning (with Jack passing himself off as Cam to Frankie's mom), barely missing Cam as he runs to talk to Frankie's mom.... Jack's paranoia is getting more and more prominent as he start to get scared of everyone that he comes across... Eventually the two head to Max's store to steal some booze so they have something to drink on their journey... It is inside the store that Jack's paranoia finally got too much for him and he refuse to let either of them leave the store because he thinks that everyone outside is out to get him.... EDIT: FYI, this is suppose to be the last week of the series, which mean all the storyline will be ending, and that this is the end of The Cut, unless it survives on somehow.... Frankly, I am surprised they had Alex bring up the Kiss incident with Stephen... they even supported the idea that Stephen kissed Alex back!! I do have to say, I am now back on the Alex/Stephen ship and getting off the Alex/Jake ship.... All I need is a scene of Stephen saying that he finally realize that Alex is not his past and have them kiss....

Thanks for the recap, mizuryuu. Just one addendum for those interested in the Marla/Elliott story: he's struggling to cope with her increasingly bratty demands and it looks like her mum has a sinister plan up her sleeve.
As for my personal commentary, I think it's great that they appear to be resolving the Alex/Stephen kiss. Even though Stephen says it's in his past, he does not outright deny having feelings for Alex. Maybe it's time to jump back on board the A/S express? It would be the simplest way to resolve this story if there is not going to be a Series 4 (which sadly does seem to be the case). In all honesty, I don't think Alex is anywhere near ready to accept his sexuality, let alone dive into any sort of romantic relationship (a sexual relationship, maybe, but not a meaningful romance). There are still beats of his story to play out: his living arrangements, his relationship with his brother, self-acceptance, and finally love. But obviously if they want to conclude Alex's story within the limited time left to the end of Series 3, I guess they should skip ahead to the last component.

Recap for today: Not much happened on the Alex/Stephen front....
Stephen confronted his dad over him not supporting Marla's wedding, successfully changing his mind... This also prompt Marla to go back to her original plan for a less extravagant wedding...
Alex, Stephen and Cameron meet up to see if anyone has news of Frankie and Jack.... Alex thinks that they couldn't have gotten far because Jack left his wallet at the bus station.... Stephen then tell them that Jack has the master key for 20+ property of Mack's, meaning lots of hiding places....
Meanwhile, Jack is starting to scare Frankie with his behavior... He manhandles her trying to get her to agree that he is a good person and that all he does is look out for her... eventually, he told her he was the one that killed her brother.... While she was being manhandled, Frankie made a quick phone call to Cameron, telling him her location.... The gang (Alex/Stephen/Cameron) then rush off towards Mack's storeroom...
For me, I find it a little unbelievable that Mack would change his mind regarding Marla's wedding with just one talk from Stephen... but I guess that is what they have to do if they want to wrap up everything by the end of this series (2 more segments to go til the end of The Cut!! ).... Not much Alex/Stephen today, so can't really comment on that, but it is nice to see that Stephen is still helping with the search for Frankie and Jack.... Jack.... I do think he is having some trouble, but I think he means well, and that he just need help, especially since he is off his meds... Have anyone thought of bringing his meds along to give to him if/when they find him?

Recap: We start off with Marla telling Elliot that they are going back to the original cheaper wedding plan.... this prompt Elliot to talk to Marla's mom to get out of the deal that he signed... however, Marla's mom refuse to let him out of his contract.... Elliot then walk away without the contract issue being resolved....
On the Jack front, Frankie had a hard time dealing with the fact that Jack is Andrew Cromwell and that he killed her brother.... Jack start saying that Frankie should forgive him because he is her "guardian angel"... Jack also said that he did not mean to hit Frankie's brother, that it was all an accident.... this is when Alex and the rest of the gang rush into the store room, with Alex pushing Jack away from Frankie.... This prompt Jack to grab a piece of the broken wine bottle (Frankie dropped it in the last segment) and hold it as if to defend himself.... Stephen then step up and talked Jack down, telling him that this is not him... Jack feels conflicted and then rushed out.....
Alex, Cameron, Frankie, Stephen are outside, resting... *Cameron is comforting Frankie* *Stephen got off the phone* Stephen: the police will be here in 2 *starts to leave* Alex: where are you going? *walk after S* Stephen: Marla getting married... if I am late for that, she really will cut off my head Alex: I'm sorry about before Stephen: about what Alex: it is not my business whether you choose to talk or think about me... I mean, I kinda wish you had but.... Stephen: it's cool Alex: it's not... I spent a lot of time fighting who I am.... cost me everything..... almost everything Stephen: you'll going to be fine, it gets better Alex: yeah? Stephen: the older you get, the more you can be who you want to be.... trust me Alex: thanks *AWKWARD HUG BETWEEN ALEX AND STEPHEN*
my thoughts: I have to say, the Jack/Frankie scene ended less dramatically than I imagined... I do have to say, I love the Alex/Stephen scene... it does seem like Alex is still coming to terms with the fact that he is gay... but it is nice that he apologized to Stephen... still hoping that this is setting up a Alex/Stephen ending... but doubtful.... if only The Cut had more time... we need a series 4!!!!

Thanks for the recap. Addendum: Taylor informs Noah that Rosa is just using him.
Thoughts: Although the show only has one episode left, they have only resolved Jack's story (can we call it resolution? They have let him run off without his meds!) and Marla/Elliott to some degree (again, an unresolved element: Elliott hasn't succeeded in breaking his contract). We had Alex accepting his sexuality - out of the blue? Or did Stephen's 1-minute talk with him earlier this week change his mind completely? I still say they had a missed opportunity, by not having Jack try to protect his secret by seducing Alex. I don't think there will be any romantic payoff for Alex this series - we definitely need a series 4 to resolve his story and all the other unresolved ones. I mean, what about Taylor, Noah, Luke, Catherine, the Hathaways ... plus are the newly benevolent combo of Alex and Stephen really going to leave poor Tommy to rot in Northern Ireland for their setup job?

I agree with pretty much everything you said...
They need to deal with Jack.... he isn't really dangerous, just in need of help since he is off his meds.... I don't think Jack would try to seduce Alex to protect his secret....
The Marla/Elliot thing is mostly resolved...
The whole Alex thing really seem to been really rushed... considering less than 48 hrs earlier(this is an assumption since this was right before he rush off to find Frankie), he was kissing a girl in the park.... Again, I think the only possible romance for Alex now would be Stephen suddenly changes his mind.... otherwise, I agree that it would take a series 4 to resolve...
Most of the other characters, their stories aren't really that important, or they are partly resolved...Noah will either get together with Rosa or get rejected.... Luke never really have much of a storyline aside from that car dream of his.... Catherine's story is kinda resolved already since she set up her own radio show and she can go back to BBC Radio to work... Taylor, she doesn't really seem to have a story unless you mean what is going on with the guy at the Cafe, which I agree is unlikely to be resolved tmr... The Hathaways, I think they were mostly in the series so the cafe can stay open so the gang has a place to meet up...
Tommy... I agree that it would be great if he comes back, especially if Alex and Stephen gets him back, but I think that all depends on if the actor is willing to come back... But if he is, I agree there is a lot of drama possible for him, especially with Alex...

Recap:
Stephen is at the wedding, saying how he is pleased that elliot is marrying his sister....
Alex, Cameron, and Frankie is at Olive's grave... Cameron apologized to Frankie for having sex with her since it seemed to have driven them apart... Frankie reassured Cameron that she did it because she wanted to....they then shared a kiss....
Jumping back to the wedding, there is a conversation between Rosa and Noah, ending with a kiss... The wedding then start with Stephen walking Marla down the aisle... The ceremony then start with the marriage official getting their names wrong....
It then jump back to the graveyard... Alex joins Frankie and Cameron in front of Olive's grave...
Alex: I started all of this... if I haven't been up there, then everything would have been different Frankie: yeah Alex: I just wish I can take it back Frankie: *hold her hand* Alex: I'm sorry I hurt you guys Frankie: she forgives you... olive forgives you... Alex: and you? Frankie: ...yes
Jumping back to the wedding, the ceremony continues with the official continue to get the names wrong... Marla's mom suddenly showed up at the wedding and Marla can see there is something wrong with Elliot
Back to the graveyard... Frankie want a minute along with Olive's grave...
F: *to Olive's grave* everything's going to be alright... isn't it *pan to Olive next to her !!!* O: of course there is, there is so much to tell you...
Well, that's the end of The Cut, unless the somehow survive beyond the end of BBC Switch... I have to say, if this is the end of The Cut, the writers suck at resolving storyline... The wedding just ended pretty abruptly, and that should have been the easiest storyline to resolve.... Noah/Rosa got resolved pretty easily at least... and they kinda resolved Frankie/Cameron, even though I thought they were pretty much resolved already...
One of the thing I did not like about this segment is all the jumping back and forth between the wedding and the graveyard... I think it would have been much better to make the two scenes separate... anyone, I can't believe they had Olive come back for an appearance.... it was a nice touch.... Alex seem to still be dealing with Olive's death... Alex really do need another series to resolve his storyline...
Also, no word on what happened to Jack.... I really hope they continue The Cut... too many things left open...

I didn't like the back-and-forth either. But worse was the finale leaving so many things unresolved (except maybe Noah/Rosa and Cam/Frankie). If this was indeed the final series, what was with the cliffhanger ending (Amy showing up to the wedding)? The writers had to have known if it was the final series, so they'd better not have put a cliffhanger knowing they can never resolve it! But then there is no news of a new series - Series 3 was announced before Series 2 was over.
If The Cut does return for a fourth series (and I really hope it does, although it looks very unlikely), they will be able to start off with Alex pursuing a romance now that he has - to some degree- accepted his sexuality. Well, he is at least on better footing than he was in the last two series with regards to that.
Maybe they can commission it as a regular series, a weekly 25-minute episode which airs in place of the current omnibus? After all they have that timeslot free anyway?

from what I can tell, the last series ended... and nobody, including the production staff, is sure if there will be another series...
last we ended, Alex's storyline is still pretty much unresolved... so a lot of us here is hoping they will continue The Cut and finish up a lot of the storylines

Unfortunate but not unexpected. I guess Santa didn't grant my Christmas wish last year, LOL. I wish the cast and crew all the very best. I am slightly bitter that they did not develop more of Alex's character in the third series but call me foolish, I actually believed they intended to in series 4 (after Alex accepted himself at the end of series 3). Whatever the shortcomings of the writing, Connor Scarlett did an excellent job with the acting and hopefully he will go far in the future. He was not the only talented performer in the cast, so I expect to see a few of them pop up now and again on my tv screen.

I have to I am very sad about the fact that The Cut is not going to be continuing. I think that Alex still have a lot of room to grow... I really hope to see more of Connor... and Matthew too... It just seems like the show was cut just when it was starting to blossom...

I couldn't care less since they messed up Alex anyway.. Was he gay? Hmm, we STILL don't know! I'm pissed of at how they handled Alex's sexuality, it seemed like they were afraid to tackle it, and only used the gay kiss to up their ratings. Stupid.
