Christian again in support of Rebecca talking about Marlene. Anyone want to give an idea of what is being said.

Christian again in support of Rebecca talking about Marlene. Anyone want to give an idea of what is being said. R: I almost told her what I feel for her. C: And then? R: Marlene rowed back. She apologized for even thinking I'd be capable of that. And now we're supposed to celebrate our platonic friendship tonight. C: Well, what is she supposed to think? All of the time you didn't manage to say anything. Maybe you'll try again tonight. Mmmh? R: Then our friendship will be over for sure. C: I'm afraid you'll have to see it through. R: Don't you want to accompany me? So you could shoot me if my horses bolt. (Couldn't find a translation for that saying. I don't know if it even exists in English. To keep it in context with the rest I stick to the word for word translation.) C: Bolting horses aren't shot right away, Rebecca. R: Then leash me. Or curb me. Come on, you know what I mean. C: Governess at a girl's night out. I can't imagine anything better...

Thanks so much Tagro. We don't have that phase in English, but I get the idea.
Poor Christian, he's stuck in the middle of the situation.

I can't help but wonder if this is what Olli had in mind when he asked Christian to keep an eye on Rebecca before he left

Given the way Olli allowed her to come in on their little evening. He knows how needy she can be, so I think this is exactly what he had in mind.

You're right. How strange is that.
I've been thinking this for a while for are they trying to make Rebecca more "masculine" now that she is suppose to be lesbian? Rebecca was always into clothes and this Rebecca seems to wear the same two or three outfits over and over again. She rarely wears dresses and is in leather a lot of the time. They are trying to make it seem like you can fall in love with anyone and that even if you are in love with someone of the same sex now, that doesn't mean that in the future that won't change, so why would they completely change Rebecca's demeanor the way they have. Just something that has been bothering me for a while now.

Just something that has been bothering me for a while now. Not like they haven't completely changed a character's style before. Olli being case in point, and there of course there wasn't even the excuse of a new actor. On the other hand, maybe they felt that Jasmine was so striking and wore gorgeous clothes so well that it would be better to avoid saddling the new actress with comparisons to her and just decided to cast, and then dress her, in a very different direction. If that was the case, then I wonder why they felt they had to bring back Rebecca at all. Why couldn't they have just created a new character, unrelated to the Lahnsteins? Ah, the mysteries of this soap.

I know. I shouldn't think about it. However, she is still a fashion designer, but as far as her own dress, fashion doesn't seem high priority. They just seem to be doing everying thing to make her manly, which if it was a new character I wouln't mind, but this is Rebecca. When she was with Miri, it was two beautiful when, both very femine. Not saying that she's not still femine just not nearly as much as before. I guess it's to be expected, because at times they do everything they can to make Olli be like a girl and I hate when they do that.
Subject dropped. It's just VL's way and I need to stop questioning it.

It could be an inspiration from the spirit of New York ? new-Rebecca might have understood her self better and developed a new sense of fashion away from her fancy wardrobe.
look at her cloths from early on in Chrolli story, she was drawn since then to a new fancy lifestyle ( scenes where she is complemented by Elizabeth for buying extravagant items an in that scene Chris was criticizing her and she almost maxed her credit card) such scenes come to mind.

Maybe, but it's not like she hadn't spent time in NY before. I think it's just what VL is doing to the chracter for the sl. It just bothers me that they feel the need to make the two so different. Marlene the princess and Rebecca the biker chick. They changed Nico the opposite way. They just do what they want to suit the s/l. There's no logic. So trying to explain it is probably piointless.

And I so preferred Nico in black leather jacket and biker chick mode. But I guess romantic telenovela heroines can't be biker chicks -- only supporting heroines and/or lesbians.
And if Joanna were still here, she'd be scolding me for going way off topic, so I'll stop.

Daniel's daughter shows up on Wednesday. I wonder how long she will be around. Olli better get back soon, or Daniel/Jessica are going to have him completely moved out.
Not sure what the special affect was about with the conversation between Tanja/Clarissa. I don't really want to look at one Clarissa, let alone 4.

No Chrolli in the SP, but Tristan is talking to Helena about his suspicions. Marlene kisses Rebecca, so since that is going on while Chrolli are in the hotel, maybe Chrolli will be on tomorrow.
Anyone care to translate the Tristan/Helena scene?

Anyone care to translate the Tristan/Helena scene? H: Oh, someone had the same idea than me. On a beautiful day like this one should ride out. T: Or you book a double room deluxe with breakfast for one night - with your affair. H: You have an affair again. T: Does that answer your question? H: Oh. Booked for Christian Mann. T: Marlene ran off a while ago. Allegedly she stays with her parents overnight for eating asparagus. H: It's the time for asparagus. And? ... Well, if... if there was anything between Christian and Marlene, then what? I mean, I wouldn't tolerate anything like that anymore, but you've been always the guy who could live with a side leap. T: Why isn't she just honest with me?

Thanks so much Tagro. Is Asparagus a big deal in Germany? Personally I hate it, but when it's time for asparagus, a lot of restaurants offer special meals with it and people run to get some for cooking. Most people seem to look forward to it, but I really don't get it...

I like asparagus, but that doesn't make much sense to me either. To each his own I guess.

As expected, no Chrolli in the SP.
Poor Arno and poor Charlie. I hope the fire isn't too bad. The boys are having the worse luck. Maybe they should have sold the build to the guy at the bank.

Christian and Olli at newNL: T: Coffee? O: Yes. T: Josie, three (Sorry, I tried to figure it out, but I couldn't understand it. I guess he just ordered three coffees, but I'm not sure.) T: Well, have you heard anything from Marlene, by chance? C: Tristan, please don't be mad at me. T: I didn't want... to pump you. Well, it could have been... And? Is something wrong? O: Nonsense. Well, maybe I'd put the drinks in a different order. But ... everybody has its own system. T: Honestly, there isn't any particular system. But we still try to find a manager. O: Thanks a lot, but I'm through with it. T: Too bad. If you want to take a look at the course of action nevertheless, we're always grateful for optimization. O: Well, okay, I could risk to take a glance. T: Your bridge, Captain. Christian's face is priceless again. ;D

Thanks Tagro. I like that Tristan made Olli feel like his opinion is valid. I do find it interesting he said he's "through with it" I guess he did some soul searching. It'll be interesting to see what he wants to do. Yes Christian's face is priceless!!

I agree with you. Christian's faces were priceless, but I'm not so sure that he's through with it. That's probably why Christian was making all those faces at him. I hope we get more than that scene. They've been in the SP lately and there hasn't been much else to see.

Thanks, Tagro! I can only agree with you all that Christian's face is priceless. Those glances they were sharing were very adorable. As I said elsewhere, I especially loved Christian smiling at bouncy Olli, and the way he looked at him when Olli seemed like he was getting a little interested in the bar. I think he liked seeing Olli a little enthusiastic; remember, if Olli is happy, he's happy. And he seemed proud seeing Olli in his element, the way he smiled after Olli walking around the bar. Christian just loves his Olli. ♥

I was just going to say the same thing, after watching the scene again. How in the world could Tristan think that he had eyes for anyone other than Olli.

I was just going to say the same thing, after watching the scene again. How in the world could Tristan think that he had eyes for anyone other than Olli. He totally walked away mid-sentence to follow Olli, so much so that Tristan lost his train of thought. eta: did you hear the little noises Christian was making. so cute!
